      2 stroke is what power's the sun. pulsed plasma 2 stroke, 4 stroke is false reality, i hav e an 8v92 stroke, 2 stroke heat is tremendous. Like lightning bolt, i fucking hate 4 stroke as they are garbage, nissan UD< Detriot diesel, EMD, fairbanks morse, stroke is god and lightning, 4 stroke is not

    Hope they make a single cylinder engine at about 70hp that will rivalise Arctic cat 400CC, in in a platform with telescopic suspension 156 inch track x16 under 360 lb
    this would be the ultimate snow machine.

      You can always power an f-250 with 6 1000 Arcticat engine arranged as an opposed piston 2 stroke, it would makea 12 piston inline 6 OP 2 stroke like an mini fairbanks morse with high stroke to bore ratio!

    Glad ski doo finally moved in the right direction with oiling all the crank bearings. The old system using sealed bearings and grease was so backwards and unreliable.
    The only thing I worry about with this new system is from looking at the engine and engine cutaway it looks like there is no oil filter. If the bearings are oiled from the chaincase oil I would assume metal contamination from the chain and sprocket will get into the oil. I would rather see filtered oil going through those small passageways into the bearings.
    There are some pretty compact filters out there. Even my lawnmower has an oil filter on its Kawasaki engine.

    • @MZMotor95
      @MZMotor95 6 лет назад +1

      Why on earth would the crankshaft bearings be lubricated by the chaincase oil? it used the 2-stroke oil from the oilpump and oil reservoir.

    • @joavnnachu4106

      The engine bearings are not oiled with the chaincase oil.

    • @Icutmetal

      Where does chaincase oil come into this?? 🤦‍♂️

    • @jlo13800
      @jlo13800 6 лет назад

      The engine oil is pressure fed, you could install a filter if you want to, all detroit 2 strokes have a filter

    • @jlo13800
      @jlo13800 6 лет назад

      Is the 2 stroke oil filtered? It could be

    Man i wish 2 stroke manufactures would stop comparing the reliability of their engines to 4 strokes . Not even close.

      @jlo13800 5 лет назад +1

      Give my a 2 stroke anyday, this could be scaled to 600 CID v8 for a street rod, relaibility is in the eye of the beholder. i got a 8v92 v8 736 CID 2 stroke with runs fine

    • @jlo13800
      @jlo13800 5 лет назад +1

      imagine this 2 stroke scaled up to a 900 CID 6 inline diesel with exhaust trapping valves and a turbo. give me a 2 stroke anyday, i just got an 8v92 v8 detroit diesel 2 stroke for the hell of it. im not a 4 stroke fan

      Dude you don't know what you're talkin about the new 4-stroke Motors breakdown more than a two strokes I want to shop I've been working on them for years

    • @Jetryder223
      @Jetryder223 5 лет назад

      I’ve got 1988 8v92 TA Detroit’s in my boat. Guarantee they’re more reliable than any 4 stroke. My little whaler has an etec too the 4 strokes don’t even come close to performance or economy, also my etec requires 30% of the maintainance of a 4 stroke. If the 4 strokes are more reliable it’s because you’re dumping more money into them to begin with.

    If their so incredible why do all these fancy motors need a rebuild after 5000 miles.. For the price of these sleds they should run under normal use 25000 miles without getting into the motor!!

    • @robertdh685
      @robertdh685 6 лет назад +2

      Larry I agree 100%. Plus on the new sleds you can't even see the motor or plugs.
      What they charge for these things if you ride alot it seems sad that every year or every other you have to spend a small fortune to rebuild.

    • @jefftuttle9530

    • @Icutmetal
      @Icutmetal 6 лет назад +1

      What “fancy motors” need rebuilt after 5,000 miles? You seem like a very pessimistic person. They may not be as easy to maintain, but they don’t need as much maintenance.

    • @jlo13800
      @jlo13800 6 лет назад +2

      This 850 makes much more power than any 2 stroke diesel its size so it is built beyond the specs. there is not one 850 cc 2 stroke diesel that makes over 160 hp!

    • @jlo13800
      @jlo13800 6 лет назад

      What motor survives so long making the hp per cubic inch the 850 does. your car motoer does not run under this full power load, it would burn up if it did.
