Now that's a Artic cat truly and Yamaha enticer. Had barashoot 1967. Panther with tiger seat. Ski doo carburetor right at u balls. Gas every where. Polaris xrc xtc xxc. Mom had XT air 1970 when I mean cold oh ya it was bitter. Freeze face. Years freeze face. Snow like no Tomorrow. Rained hard all week all night all day. But now there is a problem 😔. We need do hell of alot more. It's kinda wired. Talking to kids. That grew up right into a virtual world. Poor kids had no choice. Don't wanna work don't wanna learn

Great video, in December 2019 I picked up a new 2018 ZR 8000 ES Sno Pro 127. 2 rides so far, about 100 miles and I can tell you I absolutely love the sled. Handles like a dream and pulls like crazy and engine parts aren't even seated yet. Have a 2008 AC 650H1 4x4 that is awesome too!

As a former employee I can tell you they dont build 300+ a day they havent in over 10 yrs. When I left in 2018 we were building 150-160 a day and we didnt have 250 employees building either. There were barely 150 employees between everything and many ppl asked to do more than time allowed for. I can also tell you the day they made this vid in the main plant we were building without parts and werent supposed to work that week because of parts shortages. Also no hammers were used that day and normally they are so all the sleds had to be gone thru to ensure everything was correct.

The twin spar sleds didn't leave much to be desired and handled like a tired whale on the trails, but the pro cross chassis are the best in the business in both handling and aesthetics.

It’s very unfortunate that Kawasaki totally got out of snowmobiles - Not only did they make some amazing sleds for their time, but they supplied engines to Artic cat which honestly made for some of the most reliable years for Cats.
Suzuki and Artic cat motors have never been know for reliability.
When you have ski do’s and polaris sleds that can have tens of thousands of KM on the clock and still on the original motor assembly. I haven’t seen many cats do that over the years.

You are off your meds if you think dual points, coils, walbro and Tillotson carbs were anywhere near as reliable pre 1976, which is when suzuki engines became the only mill put in a cat. I owned several early 70's cat sleds with Kawasaki engines, they had crank seal issues, warped heads, warped manifolds, and wouldn't hold up next to any suzuki snowmobile engine in an arctic cat.
I have 8 cats, 7 with Suzukis, all more durable than any engine Kawasaki ever sold Arctic Cat.

Skidoo is the superior manufacturer, cats are just not as solid they using smaller bolts nuts etc and that means less strength, there tunnels wrinkle easier then skidoo also, I have only owned cats an 03 f7 and a 2001 zr 600 both of those sleds were weak imo, the f7 had less then 1000 miles and when I pulled the seat off to install my wrap my tunnel was cracked already I’m like huh, you don’t see that stuff with skidoo, say what you want, but I have built many custom builds and cats just don’t hold up to skidoo, maybe these days is dif I don’t know but I am bettin not, the rev chassis to this day still holds its own for old tech

I don’t doubt that there are a lot of issues with the newest breed coming off the line and I’m sure the fact that there are three companies involved trying to push sales above Research and development is never a good thing. I always liked the big iron but don’t think I would spend the money they want these days. My “newest” ride is a ‘00 T-Cat that I bought three years ago. Always been garage kept and only has 668 miles on it,it’s a head turner and I get a lot of “ they sure don’t make them like they used to “ good luck with your machine!

They dont they make em better now days. Better suspension, modern day sleds 4 strokes are putting on more miles with out blowing the engines. Gas mileage is 10x better modern day machines arent as loud, as them old iron mules. Sleds dont smoke as much as they used to. Modern day sleds will take you through the tight an twisty trails. Them old slouches youll have to turn back or risk getting stuck.
