I'm a big fan of Joe, and being such it brought me great joy to see him get done in by his own wheel because as we seen in the first game, dude usually is a monster.
at 49:01 Joe miss reads Living Death to the table and causes Nexy a missplay, You exile the creatures from the graveyard first, then sacrifice creatures, then return creatures with Living Death. Nexy would have an Amzu trigger to generate a 1/1 insect with five +1/+1 counters from angel of suffering having 5 mana value leave the graveyard while Amzu was on the battlefield.
It didn't come up in this game, but the insects made from grist are green and black, the ones made from crawling sensation are only green. I run creekwood liege in my grist deck and have to keep track of insects based on colors
We've had the same experience with archenemy. As much as I loved the concept it didn't work out. I have some variants in mind to use in our next league season.
I loved the second game, it reminded me of playing commander for the first time with a varying level of power and just random stuff happening for interesting gameplay
I got a ruling question, if a spell/ability that targets multiple players/opponents and deals damage since in Archenemy they share life does that mean that the damage is inflicted that number of times?
I believe so yes. It'd be worth keeping a check on cards like that for high player count games since they could end up being ridiculously powerful. I think the official recommendation is simply not using non-precon cards that would do such things for Commander Archenemy.
Any chance the other 2 decks could get updated cause I'm curious on Ifys deck never seen her before and wondering what cards you have in your Samurai deck

I just don't understand this play pattern at all. Tapping mana vault and saccing treasures to play gilded lotus (and spend on Lord of Pain) with a haywire mite in play, and then the other player proceeding to sacrifice the mite to Braids instead.

in the first game, i absolutely could’ve and think i was too distracted to remember haha. for the second game, sadly no, i attempted to use it to not draw out but since it’s ’dredge 3’ and there were no cards to mill, it was invalid.

there was a rule change starting in dominaria where the ‘planeswalker redirection rule’ was removed and old cards received errata to allow them to target planeswalkers directly

Ooof Lord of Pain is vicious even in a 4-way match let alone Archenemy. Can't say that was a surprise ending.

I think becca couldn't deal damage with da vulcha the first time she crewed it because she didn't attack and it was already on the battlefield.
I'm surprised she didn't sac haywire mite to exile Da Vulcha, and just drain everyone with Grist for the win. Good Games though!

Anything that can deal damage to a player can damage a plains walker so all the lord of pain triggers could have been used to kill grist
