This was one of the funniest games yet, Prof! Really happy with how great each of these Shuffle Up & Play's is becoming, and how different each feels. I already have like *all* of them saved in a MTG fave's playlist.

It had some ruling mistakes, like lexi dealing damage with two crsftsmans should have had her draw 4 not 2 cards. But yea otherwise gud
@@jachymvydra1570 if you are talking about the first time damage was dealt with the craftsman token, only one of them is a token. thus, she would only trigger each of their abilities once.

For those wondering: “Infect” *deals* *damage* in the form of poison counters (for players) or -1/-1 counters for creatures.
Damage still occurs, and triggers combat damage effects, but is ultimately converted into counters. The result in this instance is zero life loss, one poison counter accrued, and one card drawn.
Judge Amy is correct in her assumption ;)
Specifically, it doesn’t replace the damage, it alters the outcome of that damage.

Just one (pedantic) correction: "...zero damage to the player" should be "...zero loss of life to the player" because zero damage would mean that damage didn't happen

Infect creatures do trigger Bident of Thassa because infect says the creatur deals damage in the form of poison counters. So they still do combat damage when attacking.
Voxy's closing line was just....ROFLMAO!

I love that Crucible of Worlds Amy has, I have a couple other cards from Secret Lair: DFC Helper Cards and I love how they look in my decks 😍
They're great when you're like me and you can't find the card in your collection even though you DEFINITELY OPENED IT IN A SEALED. I spent two hours looking for it and it's just gone. Also good for cards you just really wish you had.
I love that some booster packs just have wild cards in them. It really helps with deck construction.

This might be my favorite EDH gameplay video ever. I've watched about 3 of them total, but I couldn't pull away from this one; Amy/Lexi/Voxy's energy (that's a lot of /i:/) is magnetic.
The sheer positivity and sense of community at this table transcends the game and becomes something extra special. Thank you to everyone for bringing this joyful joyful gem to my life.

Professor reading the card explains the card. Deals damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters. So when a creature gets a -1/-1 counter, damage is dealt and you draw a card :)

This was the most fun commander game I have ever seen. I think the decks were all diverse and interesting and the crabs were hilarious. Also the dynamic between everyone was fantastic and would love to see this group again!

15:10 You've probably looked it up, but infect damage is still combat damage. Infect is not a replacement effect: it adjusts the game rules themselves regarding what damage does, so damage dealt to a player by a source with infect puts that many poison counters on them and doesn't change their life total. It's subtle and weird. Like snakes!

Also I don't understand why lexy never crewed her chariot before creating tokens, to have those tokens enter as copys of that chariot. They would all generate another 2 2/2 cats, so the pure amount of cats is more, and you could attack with 4/4 chariots to create even more cats...
