    I needed to hear this. I've been struggling with stress a lot recently and this was a great listen, it gave me an entirely new perspective. Really enjoy your content even though it might be a little niche.

    This video came to my recommendation at a perfect time. Im almost a year as a software engineer in industry and the job Im at is really a low stress job but still challenging, but a couple of months ago I found my self extra stressed out from work to the point it messed with my sleep. I started thinking maybe this job is too stressful for me and I need to find something else. But slowly ive been realizing that Im just not handling challenging and difficult situations well, either because Im trying to prove myself as a new engineer or get disappointed when my code has bugs etc. I try to have too much control over everything and get stressed when things dont go as i intended or imagined. This video has helped me gain a new perspective on handling these situations.

    This is a pretty good video. I don't fully agree with your first point though. It may just be the way you worded it, but it seems that there's no room for goal setting or hopefulness with that mentality. I'm not saying adopt a wishful thinking mindset, but I would argue that hope and goal setting are important even if the odds are against you. I would agree with your point if it was strictly pertaining to things that you cannot change.

    Some people are biologically more prone to anxiety and depression than others. The ability to cope with stress has biological predesposition and psychological. It is important to have good thinking in all situations, but not always people can mentally handle difficult events. Some people get sick and need therapies.

    yeah, i think that was a pretty important thing you need to do a remake of this video and emphasize more on the topic. I have noticed people talk about important things like it is over the counter talk and not nailing in to their knowledge to remember.

    How do you overcome regret of time that's wasted and lost . I keep feeling that I'm very late and if only I worked hard 5-6 months back I would have done so good

    • @CodingJesus
      @CodingJesus  3 года назад +17

      You are regretful because you live in the past. Only those who live in the present can be neither anxious for what is to come, nor harbor on what has happened in the past.

      @@CodingJesus that's because I feel I don't have time . I will try to just focus on the present and try my best

    • @Pogohontas.
      @Pogohontas. 3 года назад +4

      @@akhilkhubchandani2632 Yep in the current moment, you're 5-6 months away from doing good like you say. But if your focus is on the failure, that's what you will feed. So focus on the chance to succeed, without attaching your happiness to the fulfillment of your expectations.

    • @cosmosapien597
      @cosmosapien597 2 года назад

      @@akhilkhubchandani2632 100 years ago also there must've been some individual thinking just like you, that he has wasted a lot of time and it's too late now, despite being 100 years 'early' from your pov. And 100 years later also there would be someone who would succeed, despite being 100 years 'late' from your pov. Don't think on those terms. Do what's relevant at this moment. Past is irrelevant, it's gone. Your focus must be on the present.

    Very good thinking.. But, its not always going to work. I have a friend who committed suicide because of depression and he was well educated, very nice family, his family seems supportive to him. I don't know details what he was going through, but some people biological are more predisposed to mental health problems. Getting help is also not easy.
