Dude! Thanks! Wanted to change the color of the panels and was excited to find out that it is easier than any other models made to take these panels off. Also, from what I understand, it's just as easy with the controllers too. I like the fact they left a drive space available for NVMe SSD which is awesome. Nice job on the video! Peace out Bro'!

Top tip: pull the playstation logo away slightly, and slide panel to the LEFT (NOT towards you). It'll pop, and slide right off.

Bro this bottom plate WON'T come off! I am yanking pulling doing everything you shown on this video and it just won't give. Got the top plate off with ease but this bottom plate won't budge......
Same. I wonder if the room temperature is affecting/expanding the plastic a bit to cause difficulty.
Minutes later, I just got it off. Lol. The trick is to push (slide) the plate towards the bottom of the console WHILE pulling out. Some video says to slide the plate AFTER pulling, which didn't work for me. To put it back, do the opposite.
My hand was slipping trying to slide it, so I used the tip of my finger to push against the disc slot as leverage.

No you can’t, it’s too risky for your PlayStation console. It can drop because of its weird shape, or you accidentally spill something on it, The white plates is not only for look but it’s for durability. I like your curiosity but it is for the sake of your next gen console.
You're better off instead going to CMP customize my plates, and trading the plates out for say a transparent model, which will give you the stability of the plates, but with the cool internal view like the old days of consoles.

It's extremely frustrating that they haven't enabled the internal storage expansion yet because I've been out of space for a while and I don't really wanna waste my money on an external SSD that I can't even put ps5 games on... When they said it wouldn't be available at launch I expected it to only be a month or 2 until they enabled it considering that there's only 667gb of usable storage and it should definitely have been enabled already at launch... Seriously wtf are they doing??? It makes no sense I just don't understand at all... Okay I'm done have a nice day

@@Fabler21 yeah it’s BS, but you know what I had the OG Xbox one and haven’t had a PS since PS2 so I could of cared less. Also I bought mine when they were both around $600 scalper price. Their only going to increase in price towards 2021 holidays.

It's normal. Because you have to actually do it very gently for it to not be scratched. Also its only the inside so in the end its not affecting the outside look unless you want to a clear side plates (which I don't know why anyone would want lol)
Mine got scratched when I took off the side panels for the first time also... They are definitely a bit harder to come off for the very first time
