The goal is to pretty much leave your Ps5 horizontally in one spot constantly. I think my ps5 does it because I left it horizontally WITHOUT the stand for some period of months.

My ps5 fan becomes gradually noisy when im playing ps5 games up to the point where it overheats and shuts down. But when I play ps4 games, it runs silently, not even a sound is made. I removed the fan. Remember, the 4 screws are all different lengths so they will have to be reinstalled into the same holes. I took a shop vac and vacuumed out all of the dust. Then I rotated the hose so the air can blow out and I blew all of the dust out of the PlayStation. I reconnected all the screws and now it’s working excellent. You’ll also want to dust the area where the PS5 sits so the unit doesn’t suck any new dust back in. I will post a step by step video on my page and I guarantee you this method will work flawlessely.
One another pro tip don't have PS5 on base stand. Have it at vertical side because the liquid metal could be leading into some issues and could lead into overhetading issues. You should always put your fan out completly too clean it completly. When it's first dust on it it could be having dust on the thin plates and could be difficault too remove it from the distances you are showing and it's always good too doing it very well at the first attempt.
I can't say I've had any overheatings yet, and I've had my PS5 for the better part of 2 years. The worst I've had was a couple of random crashes during a Spider-Man 2 session, within that game's first two weeks, and a moment just yesterday where the console randomly froze just after the PS5's home menu loaded. I rebuilt the database and cleared the cache, along with uninstalling a few games I no longer play for good measure, and no more such lockups have happened since. I finally cleaned the fan properly yesterday, as well (I'd previously only swabbed and vaccummed around the fan ventilation and the black vents, as well as vaccuuming the holes above and near the PSU, once the top cover is off). As far as I could see, the absolute worst of the dust was on the fan.

If the console is standing up then you should lay it down on the side and keep it in a well ventilated area and not in a crowded place. This should fix the problem.

@fix.369 I really have no idea I’m my best guess is that PlayStation announced an issue with older ps5s in 2023 (2020-2021 models) it was about what they use for thermal paste falling down so parts of the CPU would overheat that’s my best guess since he always has his ps5 standing up luckily mines a 2022 model which fixed the issue but I’m still not taking chances and laying the ps5 down. If you don't get any notification when it turns off, it's a problem with the PSU. The same thing happened to me and it was full of dust. The PSU cuts power without warning when it gets hot so as not to damage any components

Also if you are able to place ps5 side way’s instead of upright, apparently it is better at cooling itself
very true, i took mine in to a repair shop, the tech guy told me to keep it horizontal, it has something to do with the liquid metal and gravity.

Mine recently started giving me too hot warnings and today it shut off while in fortnite lobby and then when I got it going again gave too hot warning again. I've took it fully apart to check hdmi port and ended up having a shop do it and haven't fully tore it down since then should I check and make sure I'm not leaking liquid metal?

If you don't get any notification when it turns off, it's a problem with the PSU. The same thing happened to me and it was full of dust. The PSU cuts power without warning when it gets hot so as not to damage any components
