I'm really enjoying your videos! You capture the essence of architectural observation and photography well. Both of great interest and practice of mine. Also glad to see you using the 5DMKII in 2021, as im planning on buying one used any day now. Great work.
Nice that you like my videos, thank you! About the 5DII: I bought mine already used 10 years ago. A reliable workhorse through all the years. But I think about replacing it, because there are a) plenty of hotpixels (wouldn't use it for night photography anymore), b) the weight adds up with the additional video gear, especially for hiking and camping and c) the image noise above 400 ISO is, well... early 2000s level and i do like the freedom to shoot handheld (the noise difference compared to the Fuji X-T4 I use for filming and astro is huge).
Since my videos are non-vocal and I want to keep them like that, I just started to explain my choices in community posts. Have a look there, hope you find the information you're looking for. There are only 3 images explained so far, but I will probably continue these posts until I catch up to the most recent video.
Yeah you're right, the pole is quite distracting. I'm not a fan of cloning out stuff though. Desaturating the orange reflector might be enough. But there's more potential with this bridge in the dark for some non symmetric compositions - with these lovely curves and the lights.
@@thomasrhinow The thumbnail has the pole cropped out and it looks really good. I'm not a big fan of cloning either but if it's so small and will add so much I'll take a bit more time. I'm definitely more a photographer than a photoshopper so I understand why you wouldn't want to clone it out.
@@thomasrhinow I loved as it is, but also would try to shoot for a little bit higher position and in B&W. By the way, you're the one who inspired me to start shooting for art architecture, a massive thank you for re-ignite my passion for photography.
Thanks, Thomas. More inspiration...

The video of the shooting situation is clear and informative.
I have no idea what the word "keeper" means, but I subscribed to your channel.
Thanks for the sub!
"Keeper" means it's an image I consider good enough to not delete, i.e. to keep on the hard drive.
@@thomasrhinow I got it, I understand. Thank you.
Amazing photos with your Zuiko lenses on your Canon camera. Which lens adapter do you use?
Thank you :)
I use Leitax adapters for OM Zuiko and Contax Zeiss lenses. They are screwed directly on the lens and hold like they were native mounts.
I am not sure I understand the criteria on which you choose what to print and what not to. I would love to know more

That last one with the lights on the bridge was excellent. Maybe erase that pole in the middle though. It has potential.

@@nicerides9224 I think I will revisit this location during the darker season for some more compositions. Thank you for your sugestions!
