Hi, you explained well and in detail about NPS, but as an equity exposure up to 75% , this would not be able to beat ELSS in tax saving. And also, at the time of retirement or if you turn out to be 60, when you redeem the amount then only 60% are allowed to withdraw, however, that would be tax free, but for the rest 40% you will have to put in annuity to get a monthly pension. In addition to this, this pension would not be tax-free.

@@AssetYogi my employer has opened a NPS account and depositing some amount in it. Can I deposit in the same account if I want to take additional tax benefit of Rs 50000. Biggest drawback of NPS is you get only half the money deposited. Remaining half has to invested in any annuity scheme whose returns are unknown and possibly not more than 5 %. (Near to RBI tax free bonds). Yet taxable. Which is very very less and will keep on becoming lesser and lesser as age progresses. Since rules permitted complete withdrawal if amount less than 2 lakh, I removed all. Beneficial only to govt employees where govt contributes matching amount thus doubling invested amount every year. For civilians it doesn't make sense. Rather PPF is currently best since withdrawal is still tax free.
Not true. If you are in 30% tax slab and don't do Rs 50k NPS per year then you surely lose 30% i.e., 15000 in tax. And in NPS you can withdraw 60% of lumpsome money. So actually you save 90% of your money. Remaining 40% is for pension which is a great option

Aur esme koi bottom limit nahi hai agar dub gaya paisa to jao tel lagao. 2) agar aapki normal retirement nahi hai , matlab aapko jabarjusti retire kiya jata hai jo ki abhi chal raha hai ya VRS lete hai ya 30 saal ki service complete nahi hoti to aapke total ka sirf 20% hi aapko milega , ye tax free rahega aur 80%share market me lagega. Rest is same. Matlab tax pehle naukari me rehte do phir baad me apna hissa lete time bhi do. 3.) Aapka NPS me jo 10 %kat raha hai to tax me rebate hoga but jo part gov. de rahi wo aapko per year as a income dikha ke uska tax dena hoga. 4.) Agar aapki death ho gayi service khatam hone se pehle to aapke partner ko aapke total jama rashi hi milegi, esme sarkar ka ansh daan nahi hoga aur pension bhi nahi hogi. 5.) Aap pure service tenure me sirf 3 baar hi paisa withdraw kr sakte . Uske niyam hai ki shuruaat me 3 saal tk to aap koi amount withdraw nahi kr payenge. Aur ek bar withdraw karne k baad aap 5 saal tak withdraw nahi kr sakte. Aur aap sirf apne hisse k jama me se sirf 25% hi withdraw kr payenge. 6.) Withdraw k baad aapke baad ab tk jo gov. Aapke jo hissa market me lagaya jayega unko lagane waale 3 rd party hai jiski na koi jawab dehi hai na hi loss ki koi bottom limit matlab lagaya third party ne , aapse jabarjusti lagwaya aur doob gaya to aapki jimmedari

Great video, it's very important to have a personal retirement/pension plan for ourselves. After retirement I looked into various ways I could make more income out of my pension as I don't want to really on my pension alone, I reached out and invested with a capital investment firm with so many good retirement plans which has profited me so much lately.
Hello Arjun am retired and I have been looking into at different ways I could make more money although my past company had a pension scheme but the money is just not enough.
Am not retired yet but I want to build up good finance that will make me financially comfortable after retirements. I like to know more and how well your Investments has been going.
It has been going great, I started these Investment six months ago and within these period of time I have received an income of $52700 prior to my initial investment of $8500.
Very very very helpful and informative from every aspects. Thanks a lot. I had some incomplete infos before the video and now i get answers to almost all.
Nps is only have direct plan.you need not to pay commission to agent. The NPS provides several benefits to users 1) The most important advantage of is NPS is operated by government of India therefore ZERO Present agent commission. If you buy a pension plan from a non-governmental company then you have to pay a large commission but in case of investing in NPS there is no commission. 2)Tax benefits that can be availed under NPS are: Up to 10% of Salary, which comprises of basic and DA, under Section 80CCD (1) with an eligibility limit of Rs. 1.5 lakh under Section 80 C. Additional deduction of Rs. 50,000 under 80CCD (1B). 3) Returns/Interest A portion of the NPS goes to equities (this may not offer guaranteed returns). However, it offers returns that are much higher than other traditional tax-saving investments like the PPF. This scheme has been in effect for over a decade, and so far has delivered 8% to 10% annualized returns. In NPS you are also allowed the option to change your fund manager if you are not happy with the performance of the fund. Under NPS, the pension wealth, which accumulates over a period of time till retirement grows with a compounding effect. 4) Subscribers can withdraw up to 25% of their own contributions before attaining the age of superannuation. This is, however, subject to some conditions. 5)Under NPS, PFRDA has increased the maximum age limit from 60 years to 65 years for joining NPS. NPS provides transparency and portability through online access of the pension account by NPS subscribers. 6) Person who opting for new method of income tax returns will get benefits of NPS(Tax benefits).Other investments like ELSS, and PPF are not longer to allow for tax benefits un 80C in new income tax return. Need Help in Investing in NPS. Call @ 9166387878
Hey small doubt on NPS ... How that extra 50k exemption is calculated? Like, For respective FY, Person has already claimed 1.5 L under 80 CCD (1) by investing in schemes such as PPF, ELSS, or Tax saving FD. Now, can a person invest 50k in NPS and claim it under 80 CCD (1b)?
As you said, one line in video that a person can withdraw only 60% of the amount and rest 40% will in form of pension. My question is - what will happen to the rest amount if person die during pension year? Can nominee withdraw the amount or it will be waste.
My employer has selected Kotak as the fund manager for NPS, does it mean that I cannot choose any other fund manager for my own contribution. What if i select a different fund manager at the time of opening a corporate nos account.
Sir nps me paisa month mein kab dalna chahiye.jis taraha ppf mein hame har month ki 1- 5 tareek tak paisa dal dena chahiye kyon ki uske baad us month ka koi interest nahi milta Kay isi taraha nps me bhi paisa month ki isi date ko dalna chahiye ? Ya aisi koi restriction nahi.please guide kijiye. Thanks.
@Mukul, very informative video. I have a query. Under NPS, since monthly annuity amount will b taxed as per individual's tax slab, wont it b a double taxation? I mean, till d age of 60, I m anyways paying tax on d contribution amount towards NPS (considering I m fulfilling 80c quota thru other investment options). I agree tht I will benefit from Rs.50k tax exemption dedicated for NPS contribution but what if I m looking for much higher contribution investment under NPS? So, effectively I m paying tax now till age of 60 and also will hav to pay tax on annuity receivable. Is it correct understanding or am I missing anything? Pls.if u can guide.

Hi Mukul - Great series of videos on NPS. Very information and clear presentation style. I wanted to point out 2 items in the 3 video series that were inaccurate and also have a few questions below: 1. Under Section 80 CCD(1) that allows an individual to invest up to Rs 1.5 lacs and claim deduction under Sec 80C, the limit is NOT 10% of gross income anymore. The limit is 10% of salary (in case the taxpayer is an employee) or 20% of gross total income (in case the taxpayer is self-employed/business owner). 2. The Annual minimum contribution to keep a Tier 1 account active is NOT Rs.500. It is Rs. 1000 per annum. Questions - Appreciate your responses to each: 1. Does the annuity at maturity have to be for life? Can the subscriber not choose a term-based annuity for say 10 years or 20 years? 2. What is the tax treatment on withdrawals from Tier 2 accounts (for non-government employees)? Will the withdrawals be subject to capital gains tax or regular income tax? How will this be calculated - basis, accretion, etc.? 3. Is it true that the Tier 2 deductions with 3-year lock-in that has been made available to government employees is expected to also be made available to private (non-government) employees and self-employed individuals in FY 2019-2020? 4. Do you have any insights or calculations or even reported data to share which asset managers are performing the best with highest yield's? 5. If I were to make an asset allocation change in my existing Tier 1 account, will the new asset allocation mix apply only to future contributions? Would my existing portfolio be also liquidated and reallocated to the new asset allocation mix? 6. Can I have a separate asset allocation for Tier 1 and another asset allocation for Tier 2 account? 7. Can I have a separate asset managers for Tier 1 and a different asset manager for Tier 2? 8. The current NPS statements are very basic. Are there any tools to get more detailed transaction-level and account performance details online? 9. I opened an account years ago when NPS was first started with a physical POP. Can I register directly with eNPS or CDA, etc. to be able to view and see my account and transactions online? 10. If I were to use eNPS or the mobile app to make NPS transactions would I be subject to lower or no transaction fees as I would not be using an intermediary such as the POP?

Great video, it's very important to have a personal retirement/pension plan for ourselves. After retirement I looked into various ways I could make more income out of my pension as I don't want to really on my pension alone, I reached out and invested with a capital investment firm with so many good retirement plans which has profited me so much lately.
Hello Arjun am retired and I have been looking into at different ways I could make more money although my past company had a pension scheme but the money is just not enough.
I have tried so many online market tradings but it hasn't been working out great for me, So can you recommend a solution for me.
Am not retired yet but I want to build up good finance that will make me financially comfortable after retirements. I like to know more and how well your Investments has been going.
It has been going great, I started these Investment six months ago and within these period of time I have received an income of $52700 prior to my initial investment of $8500.
Ok very impressive how do I connect with them
Very useful video for us. Thanks a lot of you sir 👍
What is the maximum amount one can invest in NPS Tier 1 account in a single financial year?
Very very very helpful and informative from every aspects. Thanks a lot. I had some incomplete infos before the video and now i get answers to almost all.
Glad to hear that 😊
In this NPS account do we have an option of Regular and Direct plan as we have in mutual funds?
If yes then how we can get direct plan.?
Nps is only have direct plan.you need not to pay commission to agent.
The NPS provides several benefits to users
1) The most important advantage of is NPS is operated by government of India therefore ZERO Present agent commission. If you buy a pension plan from a non-governmental company then you have to pay a large commission but in case of investing in NPS there is no commission.
2)Tax benefits that can be availed under NPS are:
Up to 10% of Salary, which comprises of basic and DA, under Section 80CCD (1) with an eligibility limit of Rs. 1.5 lakh under Section 80 C.
Additional deduction of Rs. 50,000 under 80CCD (1B).
3) Returns/Interest
A portion of the NPS goes to equities (this may not offer guaranteed returns).

Hey small doubt on NPS ...
How that extra 50k exemption is calculated?
Like,
For respective FY, Person has already claimed 1.5 L under 80 CCD (1) by investing in schemes such as PPF, ELSS, or Tax saving FD.
Now, can a person invest 50k in NPS and claim it under 80 CCD (1b)?
Yes
One time investment kar saktey hai
Hello Sir, As discussed with SBI manager there is only limit to invest only up to 50,000/year.
You and your manager are c#$utiya. There is no limit on NPS investment. Also you get additional tax benefit of 50000
Good.
Thanks
Hello Sir, please include cancelled cheque also in the list of doc required.

Does gov also invest in NPS for private employees??
I salute your knowledge level
Such a good channel abt finances as compared to others. Keep the good work up.

Sir, govt employee ka basic+da ka 10% deduct ho rha h...to ye to fix he rhega na ki HUM APNI MARZI SE 12 YA 15% b katwa lein??
As you said, one line in video that a person can withdraw only 60% of the amount and rest 40% will in form of pension.
My question is - what will happen to the rest amount if person die during pension year? Can nominee withdraw the amount or it will be waste.
My employer has selected Kotak as the fund manager for NPS, does it mean that I cannot choose any other fund manager for my own contribution.
What if i select a different fund manager at the time of opening a corporate nos account.
You may choose your own fund manager, even if the employer chose any other.
Sir nps me paisa month mein kab dalna chahiye.jis taraha ppf mein hame har month ki 1- 5 tareek tak paisa dal dena chahiye kyon ki uske baad us month ka koi interest nahi milta Kay isi taraha nps me bhi paisa month ki isi date ko dalna chahiye ? Ya aisi koi restriction nahi.please guide kijiye.

Hi, I have APY account already so let me know can I open NPS account as well ?
Bahot complicated hain yaaar. Good explanation. 👍
Sir, In NPS system if we have to use pension calculator there is an option of contribution per month. I am here to get information weather in contribution amount section we have to mention amount of employee contribution only or sum of both employee and employer.

Hi Mukul - Great series of videos on NPS. Very information and clear presentation style. I wanted to point out 2 items in the 3 video series that were inaccurate and also have a few questions below:
Questions - Appreciate your responses to each:
Itna likhne ke baad bhi kisi ka reply nahi hai🥴
Kya NPS post office se bhi possible hai ?please answer me
Hello Sir, Nice video can you please make a detail comparison video on NPS vs ELSS with return and flexibility ? 🙏
NSDL से तो लाख गुना बेहतर है यह वीडियो 👍👍👍👍
