As Senior citizens who have paid their taxes and still continue to do so, have given the best part of their life towards nation building, it's disheartening and shameful to be treated as a Pariah. Most Indian banks don't give credit cards to senior citizens, most insurance companies don't provide health insurance and even worse if you have a PED condition. The premiums are exorbitant. Seniors beyond 70 years continue to pay income tax which should be exempted.There are no discounts for OPD consultations in hospitals. In short, a senior citizen is reduced to the status of a 3Rd rate citizen. The Govt. has done little to give them the dignity in life. There is no subsidised medical treatment for seniors either, and considering the astronomical cost of medical treatment these days, he is denied the basic courtesy of living in dignity. The Government needs to wake up and address all these basic issues, as senior citizens form about 13 pct of Indias population and are a powerful vote bank. So let not any government under estimate the Power of senior citizens.

वैसे तो सरकार 7.50 lakh तक वालों को विशेष छूट दे रखा है। इससे ज्यादा पेंशन प्राप्त करनेवालों की संख्या मात्र 25 प्रतिशत है। अब उन्हों ने देश की कितनी सेवा की है, यह विचार करने लायक विषय है।

ખુબ આભાર દિકરી. પરંતુ 2018 થી મારુ ત્રણ લાખ નુ બધા જ વાંધાઓ નાં માન્ય જવાબ અપાય ગયાં હોવા છતાં પણ આજ દિન સુધી મેડિકલ બીલ મળ્યુ નથી. હજી ત્યાર પછી ના આવાજ ત્રણ બીલ રજુ કરવાની હિંમત થતી નથી. આવાતો કેટલાય કેસો પડ્યા હશે?રામ તેરી ગંગા મેલી હો ગયી હૈ.
मैं भी एक सीनियर सिटीजन हूं और सेना से सम्बन्ध रखता हूं, मुझे नहीं चाहिए इन सरकारों द्वारा दी जाने वाली सुविधाएं । हमें पिछले ३ साल से सभी सुविधाओं से बनचित रखा गया है तो क्या हम भूखे मर गये हैं । इस सबके लिए सिर्फ और सिर्फ मोदी ही जिम्मेदार है और इसको इसका एहसास वोट से ही कराया जाना चाहिए।

Sr CITIZEN koh ek he benefit military thaa Railway kae fare mae 40 50 percentage concession which was discontinue since long back by Modije govt. We all Sr requested Modije to reinstate this facility so we travel to regious and hills area and also go to Childerns who reside other cities with low income.Hope favurable decision

Medical expenses of senior citizens have skyrocketed in last 10 years. And organisations like EPFO gives pension of meagre Rs. 1000 per month to senior citizens who served to the nation for 30 years. Shameful. The government should waive off any tax up to an income of 10 Lakhs for senior citizens. Any TDS should be exempted for them...
