Well, this was a delightful surprise that I wasn't expecting, didn't know you had one of these to look after and cherish. They were manufactured only about 20 miles from where I live. They are very collectable now here in the UK, along with implements that were made to fit onto them.
There's quite a few things floating about that I get to tinker with on occasion. This one mainly lives in the woodshed and does some landscaping and towing as required. Apart from the loader I think we've got a few more implements around. They're very common here and this one always just works (battery problems excepted). Cheers
First time to see a petrol one - have only ever seen the Diesel and TVO ones. ( TVO had a two compartment fuel tank - TVO section and a small Petrol section for starting engine). Also, never saw a 20 front loader up close - great to see that. Very few (in Ireland at least) had those. And - I know you know - slip of the tongue at 11.06 - starter motor rather than dynamo. Sorreee!! That is one lucky 20, never saw one get so much lubing - especially the 9-hole bar ! Nice one! Thanks man!
they're very common here. Can pick up a decent one for very little money. They're a Kiwi legend after Edmund Hillary took a fleet of them to the South Pole. Ah yes, good spot, thanks! This one was long overdue some love so gave it what it needed. Cheers!
Badgertronix Oh - interesting about the Hilary Antarctic expedition .. the petrol wouldn’t “freeze” like the way diesel would in low temps - make sense to use the petrol version. There used be a widely used “trick” used with the TVO versions here, to retard the spark, many tractors were fitted with buttons on the spark plug lead - so the spark had to make a jump to reach the plug! Also, a bit like early Land Rovers, they were very creative with all kinds of implements to attach to them. My uncle had a mid-mounted Bamford mower, and the early summer job every year was installating the propellor tube bringing power from the PTO forward to the mower bar. Big job fitting that damn thing. Before reliable rear mount mowers were popular. Anyway ! Thanks BT ! Look forward sometime to see you doing bits around the yard with the 20. And a 20 is never complete without a dog around !!
Thanks so much for your video . ITS a wery Nice FERGIE you have . I like it so much 😊😊I have a TEF-20 ... and I restore a massey ferguson 65 reighte now... Soon there will be New upcoming video's about it as well . Thanks so much 👍😊Michell. Norway
Sorry I'm a bit late on this comment. I thought to20's had the oil filter inside at the drain sump, and to30's had the external filter. I'm in the States, so maybe it's the stateside version? Good video by the way.

Had one in the 70's when working for Buxted chickens..petrol/tvo ..good old faithful..thanks for sharing..
To be an old tractor, it sounded pretty good! Nothing like doing the routine maintenance to make it last. 😊
It always sounds good and goes well. Thanks Terry, have a great weekend
My TO 20 (US) has the filter the bottom. Sometimes a bugger to change. Thanks for the vid.

You had some fun camera angels. The old girl still has some life in her!
Thanks buddy. This thing is a champ
Cheers Badger, that was easy to follow, where's me spanners !!
now I want one just so I can maintain it lol
🤣🤣 They are great tractors and super simple to work on
Thanks for this
you need to remove rotor arm in distributor to oil to oil shaft
Solid
At just before 12.00 minutes, that is the starter, by the way.
Nice video
Thanks
I was watching the new oil going in thinking 'I hope he remembered to put the sump plug back in...' 😔
Ah, I did not 🤦♂️ first time I've ever managed that
@@Badgertronix You're not alone, which is why I could see it coming...!
She was obviously built in an age before the term 'planned obsolescence' was invented. She's a real beaut.
It's a great tractor and is in great shape for 60 something years old. It's always a joy to work with. Cheers
@@Badgertronix Although I do think using new oil to flush her sump was a wee bit overindulgent. LOL!
Very true! The dog had just run off with the new oil filter so I was a bit distracted 🤣

I'm not sure. The manual I have shows it as external so could well be the difference between the overseas and other versions.
I'm trying to find the oil filter for mine, do you have the model? Thanks in advance! Great videos!
🚜👍
👍👍
Thanks buddy
Hi buddy what do you use the thomas the tank tractor for
Gardening, towing, drag racing 🤣
Did not know the air filter housing was supposed to have oil in it!
It a oil bath has a wire screen in it and oil in the bottom bowl .
You might want to replace those plug wires someday. 😁
They're due for replacement in 2050 🤣
Olá
Sou do Brasil, tenho um trator igual a esse eu adquiri para meu pai, mas estou com dificuldade de encontrar peças.
Not a peice of plastic on it anywhere. I seen one done up as new $5000 . I bet they sold new for under $500 😅
These little tractors are everywhere round here. A real nice one will be under $2000. Parts are available too
20w60 oil?
That's the recommendation from Penrite
My first TE20 getting delivered this week. What sort of fluid were you using in your parts cleaner?
You have a tractor as well? And it's a Ferguson? I hate you.......... ;)
😃🤣
It sounds as rough as 5 grit sand paper mate. Do a carb re build, valve clearance check. Plugs. Points ect and it’ll run like a dream.
It does run like a dream 🤷♂️
