Great video Dan! I live in Ohio USA, just found your channel and have subscribed. What an ingenious and simple way to adjust the clutch. On a more serious note, I want to express my condolences to you and all the British people at the loss of your monarch Queen Elizabeth.
Its sad that the likes of John Deere are making maintenance impossible with newer kit. The whole point of the machines was they were repairable out in the field.
Cow farmer Dan… the man with red hair and tractor black magic!!😁🤪. Guess that’s another job I need to do to our fergy and I never knew about the pto trick!
Hi.I did this adjustment on our fergie 20 as it would take a few seconds for the tractor stop when you clutch it.When I tightened it back the clutch does not work at all now. There is no pressure on it.Thanks
Excellent very helpful. The clutch on my tef20 seems very sharp and judders. It's worse than when i first got it a few weeks ago and I'm investigating some small leaks under the engine block. Someone suggested the issues might be connected? Or is the clutch just really nervy on a ferguson?
Hey Dan, Great information mate, I'm learning a lot! Is it possible to install steel ballast to front wheel / hub on a TEA20 Ferguson tractor? I have 3 Fergi's and a less than flat acreage property. I appreciate your time Dan. Regards Adrian Australia
Hi Dan hope your well. Need some more advice if possible please ? Our t20. When we go to put it in start gear nothing happens we have to bump start it batterie is fine just won't engage starter. Any ideas? Thanks in advance richard . Ps clutch is fine after your last advice thanks 😊
Great Video again. Liked the tip with the string. I have recently acquired a Ferguson Winch, but, it is missing the top link and feet. I have watched the Video on repairing your winch and interested to know if you have the dimensions for the top link and feet so I can make some for myself. Cheers Gregor ( Melbourne / Australia)
Hi there I have just restored my tef 20 . It started easily before the restoration and still does how there is engine oil coming out where the exhaust meets the manifold when the engine is running . The tractor hasn't been used for the past few years . Any advise would be appreciated .
@@CowfarmerDan No I don't do any engine work and having an engine rebuild would be very costly . A mechanic suggested that I use a topper and work the tractor hard then the problem might go away . It was fine before the restoration and guage reading normal oil pressure . I hope its not an engine rebuild .Thanks for contacting me. Pat
hi Dan hope your well.. out t20 cluch is slipping had new one in couple of years ago there I no free play is that our problem ? just seen your video many thanks kind regards Richard.
Every day is a school day Dan, I did not know that about turning the pto to lift the linkage, really fascinating and thank you for the shout out.
Same here I never knew that either

Great video Dan,always leaning something new on your channel , thanks again
All the years we had one never knew about pto linkage lift.

Thanks Dan, some real gems in this one
Great video, what a lovely classic tractor in nice condition

Great vid 👍 must have been nice to have one spanner for all 😁
Another very interesting video Dan thanks.
You can also use the spanner to check your fuel level with the markings on the side of the spanner.
I was expecting him to use the spanner to measure the 10mm gap for the clutch adjustment!
@@masseyman6290 so was I 🤣think the spanner is the right thickness?
Great video as always keep up the amazing work and videos dan

Clutch should be smooth.
Could be oil contamination on the clutch plate.

Never seen that pto trick before
When your putting your collection away in storage for a while do you tie the clutch pedal down ever in case they seize uu🤔👍
in the spirit of vintage thursday you should have used sisal string🔧😊
Excellent vid can you show a 135 or is it similar
I wish a want a ferguson tractor

hi Dan hope your well.. out t20 cluch is slipping had new one in couple of years ago there I no free play is that our problem ? just seen your video many thanks kind regards Richard.
Yes, it could be.
If you have no free play the clutch could only be partly engaging causing the slipping.
thanks Dan will try that and post back .. kind regards Richard..
hi dan hope ypur well..followed your advice to a t .. all sorted perfect again .. many thanks take care best wishers Richard.. @CowfarmerDan
That's great news, well done.
Hello, it's impossible to desengage my clutch...i did stop the tea20 during 3 months.
How can we fix the clutch ?
Thanx
The clutch plate could be rusted to the flywheel.
Splitting the tractor is the easiest way to free it off.
Thanx ! Is it possible even i am not a professionnal ?
Yes, it's not too difficult.
