Not really. Here are the patterns:
1. 为了 purpose, Sub + verb phrase.
2. Sub + verb phrase 是为了 purpose.
Ex,
1. 为了准备明天的考试，我得好好复习。
In order to prepare for tomorrow’s test, I have to do some proper review.
2. 我认真复习是为了明天能考好。
I study diligently (is for the purpose) so that I can perform well in tomorrow's exam.
