  • This is how I make photo carves with my cnc using photoVcarve software
    8 inch
    Y 6.2875
    Z .75
    Cutting parameters and tool i used are
    Amana tool tapered ball nose #46282
    Diameter 0.0313
    Pass depth 0.022
    Feed 100 inch/min
    Plunge rate 100 inch/min
    👉** Carving max depth 0.15 was used for This Carving.
    However, Between 0.09 - 0.2 works as well... Good luck and try different settings. **👈
    Line angle 45.0*
    “ Check the cross hatch box “
    rapid Clarence gap 0.25 inch

      You can use GIMP for converting. Its free and there's plenty of tutorials to explain it
