It feels like a this technique does not work with LED tea light joke would go well here LOL Thank you for showing the tip. I did not know the shapes would stay consistent!? Glad we did get one head on shot to see the distance Aaron was holding the plastic over the flame.
A tip when making stretched sprue. Sprues often have fairly prominent mold lines. I sand those smooth prior to stretching to ensure those aren't visible later on.
Guitar Strings. Go to your local music store and ask for a set of "Light Scale" electric or acoustic guitar strings. You will end up with different diameters for Peto tubes. Also the larger "wound" strings work great for Pilot oxygen masks, and sci-fi electrical conduit.
Long ago, a friend explained a technique for stretched sprue called "bouncing" where the sprue part, after mounting, is briefly gently heated. as it cools, any sag is removed. He did not demonstrate it because he was not in a build at the time. Could you demo this technique in a video please?

Guitar strings work well for lots of things, but stretching sprue is still a good skill to have in your repertoire. Thanks for watching!
