As you mentioned, if it's a seam gap on the top of the spine or similar area, you have to be real careful not to sand away plastic as the CA is going to be harder. For those areas, I recommend sprue-goo, sprue plastic dissolved in Tamiya extra thin or similar. I actually use Tamiya Airbrush Cleaner.

I never would’ve thought of doing it that way. Thanks, Bob!

Great vid. Wouldn’t be bored by a filler vid at all. In-fact, I’d love to know when and why to use the numerous fillers that I own. From Mr Hobby alone, I have Mr Putty, Mr Putty R, Mr Dissolved Putty, 1200, 1000 and 500!!!

I can't tell you how many times I've chased seam gaps. This video is a light bulb moment for me, Bobby. Thanks for sharing this tip! 🤜👍🤙

Another suggestion for gaps such as these ones: Mix some CA with nail acrylic powder. It's an excellent filler, doesn't shrink and can be filled without problems. But, please, test it before with some scrap parts or model.

My tip: before cementing the fuselage halves , sand a very fine bevel on the top edge of each half . Then after the glue sets you will have a nice micro recessed gap for your filler

Home brew filler sprue and glue, like JDK16 says, sticks like xxxx to a blanket and as its the same plastic as the kit you don't run risk of shrinkage etc. And its cheap.

Good tip. I make my own filler mixing CA glue with baby powder or corn starch. Thanks for your videos.

Thanks for an informative video as usual. For a relative beginner, this is great.

CA doesn't shrink from reaction with solvents. Awesome filler on its own or mixed with dental resin powder.

I've only ever used Tamiya white putty for filling so far, there are a lot of other good products out there I haven't used yet, but for Tamiya white I think you want to leave it set for at least a day.

How about Sprue Goo ??? I use that sometimes and most of the time that is enough to refill the gap.
