Nick Meale Wow. Good thing you got your license so you could gorge yourself with 6 heart attack sandwiches in one day. You definitely could never ever do that without a car. Duhhhhh....
I was sitting hear at 12am super hunvry i stumble upon this video and made it but i had no meat to use but it was still AWESOME. I highly recommend you do this 💯
I just made these and I can confirm, they are yummy!!! Thanks so much! I added spinach to make myself feel a bit healthy .. and I used mild sliced cheese instead but the effect is pretty similar ☺️x
Very innovative technique where the egg rings are concerned. I like the way you toasted the muffins in butter and oil. The end result looks very consistent.
@HangGlideTube lmao says who? "By the FDA's standards, Kraft isn't permitted to refer to Singles as "cheese" because this word indicates that a product is made with at least 51 percent real cheese. This is why the label reads "pasteurized prepared cheese product."
@HangGlideTube you mean that they don't create the cheese in a lab and use real dairy? I'm not denying that it has real dairy in it but it seems that it has way too low dairy to be considered "real cheese". That article is from 2015 so maybe it's not the same. I only wish I could give you 100 thumbs up for this. I just purchased a big box (12) of Jimmy Dean sausage, egg, & cheese croissants, and had I seen this before I went to the store this morning, I would have picked up some English Muffins for sure. (I did get 3 lbs. of bacon & 3 doz. eggs) I never buy things like this, but my son and his girlfriend like to grab them before leaving for work. I love it that there is only a microwave involved and no mess when I get up, after they leave for work. I can now do these up myself, and not pay an arm and a leg for them, or have them making them and leave me with a wrecked kitchen. God Bless you for this one my friend, I really needed it. I love my son being here, but the clean kitchen is a must for me, and they always leave a nightmare for me to wake up to. The worst thing to do to someone in the a.m. Messy Kitchen! PS I'm allergic to a.m. rrrrr Thank you a million times.
Sheila6325 LOL @ allergic to the AM, HAHA!! I totally agree, a messed kitchen is the worst! I make my own sausage croissan'wiches as well. It's pretty much the same as these but using sausage and on croissants. They are SO good! And of course, do the same, wrap in waxed paper and into the freezer. It's so nice to have breakfast ready to go and not have to dirty pans and bowls and spend time prepping and cooking when you could be drinking coffee, LOL!! ;-)
Great video! I like to scramble the egg with a bit of onion powder (or chives if I have them), for a bit of flavour to the egg. Brilliant idea to use the mason jar screw top lid, and I wouldn't have thought to spray them first, so thanks for the video!
These turned out wonderful. I happened to have the canning jar rings too. Very clever! From now on that's how I'll make it. I don't have a griddle but worked fine in my skillet too.

OMG this looks so good. McDonald’s breakfast sandwiches are pricy. Me and my wife bought the needed matízales to make our own breakfast sandwiches. Great video.
Awesome! And the best part is.. I bet this is healthier than the McDonald's version. At least you know EXACTLY what you put on it! And you used a lot less butter/oil than they would :)
This uses a lot more oil, not sure about the US but I used to work at maccies in the UK and the muffins are toasted and bacon's steamed. I'm not sure if they use any oil for the eggs either. They do put liquid butter on the muffins though while they're assembling them.
I tell ya your videos never get boring! The food always looks delicious and perfect. I've actually remade some of the meals you post and they turn out awesome
I followed the directions on this sandwich; but I did it in this order: Protein (sausage), EGG, Muffin and I broiled the cheese on top of the egg before I topped it. We like our muffins nice and crisp and not floppy. I had potatoes o'brien in my ninja foodi while I was assembling the sandwich. It was a HIT with my picky eater son. He ate the whole thing! I realized you can substitute the protein with whatever you like: ham, chicken, pork chop, even steak!! and the egg can be scrambled instead of 'hard cooked' ; can be topped with avocado and tomato... many ways to do this one.. Thanks for taking me through it. Beats coughing up 4.75 for a SINGLE Sausage Egg McMuffin
What I really like about your recipes, you give us more options what we can use instead. Not like the most other recipes. Where it's said I have to use this only brand or that one product. Which I noticed do the most americans. Danke! :)
I never thought to use the rings. I bought some English muffins yesterday after seeing someone with them. I never ate them before but I am definitely making this. The muffins just always looked so doughy so I thought they would be nasty. Yours looked so delicious.
Wide mouth canning lids... Brilliant !!! I want to make these for my son in law but didn't have the right kind of can, but canning lids I have. I didn't know about the egg steaming but I do now. I'm about ready to start heating up my cast iron, I can't thank you enough. Great demonstration and useful information. :o)
Thanks for this. I stopped eating at McDonald's ten years ago, after watching "Super Size Me," and never went back. But I always missed these, so now I can make them home, and from from much more fresh and healthy ingredients!! Thanks again:)
I work at an A&W up in Canada, fun little tip, keep the cover on the eggs as they cook for about 2 minutes 45 seconds Even on a conventional grill it should be cooked all the way through with minimal flipping
One drawback. If you don't completely saturate every crevice of the jar lid with oil the egg will stick to it like glue and it's a mess. I use a microwave container that has dual egg cups. I lightly spray it with water before putting the eggs in and break the yolks then put in for 1:03. I then turn it over giving it a light tap then unclip the seal and put it in for another 20 seconds so any excess water evaporates. I also put the muffins in the toaster on the bagel setting without any oil or butter. Also, I have an issue with putting the whole thing in the microwave to melt the cheese as the muffin will tend to get soggy. Just put the egg and cheese in a microwave container with a loose lid and zap it for 15 seconds. You can butter the muffin if you like but the 2-4 teaspoons of oil this guy uses does nothing to enhance the flavour and just adds unhealthy saturated fat.
I do mine pretty much the same way, but I throw some ham n the pan with eggs. The ingredients I use is fried ham, eggs, mayonnaise, a slice of cheese, n I top it off with Montreal Steak Seasoning. Trust me when I say that you can't eat just one of them. You should definitely try it out sometime. I promise you won't be disappointed!
Great job, again, Jason! If you don't have egg rings or mason jar lids, you can use about a 3/4" slice of an outer ring of an onion. Spray it if you want to remove it after cooking the egg, and there's no clean-up. yay!
When I follow this hack why does my muffin always smell and taste like raw onion? And why throw away the used onion. I freeze mine and reuse as needed. Seriously
I buy turkey bacon at Aldi and recently discovered their fully cooked breakfast sausage, both link and patty. All of it is good tasting. I'd rather use a lightweight pan to keep the muffins from doming. Heating cans may not be the safest thing to do to the contents, plus the tops and bottoms can harbor germs which then transfer to the bread.
