crescendo = intense part of gradually increasing sound; de crescendo - the intensity fades into silence I think those were the terms you were looking for early in :)
Also the term "pyramid" -- one person sings and holds a low note in the harmony, then in a moment another adds a higher one, then another and another adding still higher ones, all sustaining their notes to make a chord. They do this a lot in this song.
I think for this video they just grabbed from their closets because Mitch had that coat on from a Superfruit video (Superfruit was a group with just Scott and Mitch, worth reacting to as well). They are just too stylish. They are at the point where they can just grab random stuff and still look polished.
