I really hope they get nominated for another Grammy for the arrangement on this song - it's just so quiet and beautiful! There's no way I would ever have considered mashing these two songs up, but they made it sound like they were made to be sung together!
This is so beautiful, but unless in different categories, their Kiss From A Rose would blow this out of the water. Even Please Santa Please with its catchy tune. This song is wonderful, I just don't see how it competes with those two in the same year.
@@lauriep2018 Actually they were nominated for last year's album. This album was released too late, so eligible for 2025 Grammys. “Holidays Around the World,” Pentatonix
@@lauriep2018 The album that was nominated was last year's, Holidays Around the World. I don't know if Grammy nominations for this year are even open yet, so this one should be able to make it.
Yes, this was a mashup, "Pure Imagination" from Willie Wonka and an American classic "Christmas Time Is Here". I love their mashups, only one thing to say, Pentaholic out!
You really, really need to do Kiss from a Rose by PTX do the vevo live video I promise you won’t be disappointed! It’s epic beyond what you can imagine.
Yet another Grammy-worthy brilliant PTX mashup arrangement! They all sound and look gorgeous! O Holy Night from the new album is off the charts stunning- my new favorite version of it ❤💚
This just melted my heart. With Mitch’s angelic and Kirstie soft and soothing voices. Then Scott especially when he sings the last line of his solo.”There’s nothing to it” 🥹 Matt with that chest soothing bass and Kevin’s beautiful voice joins with him holding the whole thing up. This is truly one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard and I’m 63. I also get what you’re saying about the nostalgic feel. I grew up watching those old movies. Great reaction as usual. I’ve so enjoyed your journey down this rabbit hole. Look forward to your next PTX. 🤗💋🥰
These two songs are pure nostalgia for those of us from the US of a certain age. "Christmas Time is Here" is from the animated TV special "A Charlie Brown Christmas", first shown in 1965 and I think shown on TV every year since. And "Pure Imagination" is from the 1971 movie, "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory".
They sang a knock-out "O Holy Night" on their most recent holiday album. EPIC! Thank you for your warm reaction. I look forward to more of you PTX reactions. PTX are the kings and queens of Christmas.
For we older GenXers... Both Willy Wonka and Charlie Brown Christmas hold memories of our youth. Commercialism started taking root in the mid 1970s... so these werr days when families still gathered around the Television to watch those beloved Christmas Shows and Movies. Bet that rarely, if ever happens anymore. And for those that have lost Grand/Parents... they are truly bittersweet memories... i cant help the tears 😢...
What a great reaction to this lovely soothing Christmas song! PTX just KNOWS how to do beauty and nostalgia. I checked your playlist and I don't see any reaction to A Kiss From A Rose by them, so I'm REALLY hoping that you have it in your Advent list. It is frankly insane.
You got them all right with all those adjectives. What a brilliant arrangement! Masterpiece! And the mash-up is just perfect! They are really a genius at this
I can't believe I missed this reaction from you. I'm wearing a very sad face now. You're may be the only reactor I've come across that noticed Matts gorgeous base lines in this song. I've said before that this song brings back all the nostalgia. It's the personification of every Christmas wish that's ever been granted. For me, it conjures a picture of Charles Schultz, Snoopy, and Gene Wilder ice skating on a frozen pond; winter hats down over their ears, jackets open showing colorful Christmas sweaters, and scarves around their necks blowing in the breeze.
Really look forward to your PTX reactions! The intricacy of the melodies with their harmonies is magical. So agree-it feels like they bottled up nostalgia and gifted it to the world.😍
Thank yor for this very special advent calendar. I will follow it. From day 1 to day 24 and all days after it, because you will not be ready with PTX christmassongs😂.This song takes you back to the enchanted time of waiting for Christmas. No more running and hurrying - just dreaming.
Beautiful. Kirsties voice developed so well in the last few years. I like Matt’s voice and I’m glad that Avi left the group. Matt fits in so well. Of course Avi did too, but he just had to do his beautiful solo work.
Hi, loved your reaction. My favourite Pentatonix Christmas songs are O’Come All Ye Faithful. It’s a really upbeat and joyful version. And an original called Thank you written I believe by Scott and his now husband during the pandemic . It makes me cry every time I hear it.
This was a special gift from Pentatonix to the world. Well, everything they do, even their very existence, is a gift, but this was so heartwarming and beautiful!
Yay, love that you are really doing the Christmas calendar! This new song is pretty cool, but you will be blown away by all the other PTX Christmas classics! I hope "First Noel", "White Winter Hymnal", "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch" and "Making Christmas" are on the list ; )
A surprise of a mash-up and I like that they added a slow, thoughtful, song to the new playlist. It's GORGEOUS! I understand it might not be your fave....I tend to prefer the more upbeat ones and traditional as well, though none of their traditional songs stays that way for long. They do add their delightful twists to every one. I'm looking forward to your holiday journey!
I always get excited when I see a notification that you've posted a new reaction..always enjoy you. I agree with other comments that you should react to Kiss From a Rose. It's unbelievable!
Ethereally nostalgic…Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka and Christmas time is here from A Charlie Brown Christmas Special. For the other end of the spectrum, gotta listen to A Kiss from a Rose from same album, but do the live version on Vevo
So beautiful! I smell a Grammy for this one. It was almost haunting. PTX just gets better and better. Pure Imagination is from Willy Wonka movie and Christmas Time Is Here is from the Charlie Brown Christmas special on TV. Both from the late 60's to early 70's. You talked about the buttery warm bass...yes , it was amazing. But those high notes in the background were so high! They knocked another one out of the park!! Great reaction Dude!! You always do a great job. Thank you! Sending you love from Texas!
Hello. How is life my friend. Google luck with your new job. Please please react to kiss from the rose vevo live by the. Same christmas album as this one.
So, Scott’s awesome, Mitch is wonderful, Matt is killing it, Kevin’s adding just the right touch, even the silence is great…and Kirstin’s really, really hot. Got it. Another reactor bites the dust. Unsubscribed

I agree 100%!!!

Since this album was nominated for this year, this single would arrest had to have been nominated. It’s ok, they’ll win for the fun album 😂

Mitch Mercury! Love it!

yep an American Classic of A Charlie Brown Christmas animation. It's a good marriage of similar tones of childhood cherished memories
The American classic you are referring to that "Christmas Time Is Here" is from is "A Charlie Brown Christmas".
Like floating on a cloud!
You really, really need to do Kiss from a Rose by PTX do the vevo live video I promise you won’t be disappointed! It’s epic beyond what you can imagine.
Heavenly!
I listened to this over 10 times. It reminds me of my childhood Christmas. I'm 69.😊 They mixed 2 classic songs.
Yet another Grammy-worthy brilliant PTX mashup arrangement! They all sound and look gorgeous! O Holy Night from the new album is off the charts stunning- my new favorite version of it ❤💚
You mentioned "O Holy Night". PTX has 2 versions. They are both good but the newest one got me so emotional when I first heard it.
Same

When you remember Christmas Tine is Here was sung by children and Mitch and Kirstin are just nailing it in the most adult way possile.
Etherieal is a perfect description. Trust PTX to show us, once again, that understated can be perfection. Their musicianship is amazing.
Pentatonix are a musical chameleon.
A rock ballad Kiss from a Rose and then this ethereal mashup.
No one else on the planet can do this.
So far from the songs I've heard the whole album deserves Grammty and Kiss From A Rose is OUTSTANDING
Like I told you last time Mitch is about to beat you silly over Christmas 😂

I love all their voices but Mitch has such a sweetness to it! Great arrangement as usual!

Just so pretty, pretty, pretty! Loved your reaction, as always. Peace …
Joyful! Joyful live needs to be seen.
Hail Viking! It's a good idea: 24 videos until Christmas. A good challenge. You've made me curious. Let's get started! 😊
❤
They are SO good
Fantastic reaction! I agree totally
It is beautiful and puts a smile on your face

The first song takes me back to my childhood and Disney when Disney was family and Walt made you feel like you were special. Beautiful.
It's hard to put words together for this one! Smooth and perfect! Thanks for reacting to this one. Really enjoy your show!

This is just one of those that just qualifies as warm and beautiful. With you...wow.
Not only are the vocals and harmonies great and their attire is classy

No one in this band who isn't great ❤
There are a few videos of them doing this live now and they are just as stunning live. Love this new christmas album of theirs.
Wonderful start to December and the advent calendar! Thank you for this one! Good luck on the new job!

This is beautiful and relaxing.

Super Idee dieser Reaction Adventskalender 😁 ich freu mich auf die kommenden 23 Tage❤❤
Tarja Turunen recently put out a Christmas album titled, Dark Christmas. Might be something there you'd like; knowing that you like Nightwish...
Lol, keep an eye out for day 4 ;)
🔥🔥🔥🔥
YAY!!
Have you heard there version of little drummer boy? It's so good
I even have a reaction for it ;)
Check out Tarja’s new Dark Christmas album.
OMG!
Already recorded one of them ;)
by the way, her name is Kir sty, not Kristie... (as she said herself, rhymes with thirsty)
Hello. How is life my friend. Google luck with your new job. Please please react to kiss from the rose vevo live by the. Same christmas album as this one.
Have you seen how many views you’ve gotten for the Nightwish collab??
3,3K views and I like this video very much!
Ik ben ook slecht in namen en titels 😅 maar als muziek mijn hart raakt maakt dat niks uit
Maar de naam pentatonix vergeet ik niet😊
So, Scott’s awesome, Mitch is wonderful, Matt is killing it, Kevin’s adding just the right touch, even the silence is great…and Kirstin’s really, really hot. Got it. Another reactor bites the dust. Unsubscribed
It could just be the pregnancy hormones but this song really brings the emotion out of me😢🥹 it's so nostalgic and their voices just do it justice❤
