- The best RC car this summer is the one that you are driving and we have a new car to hit the dusty track with.
We are massive fans of SCT and we have got another one to add to the collection. The FTX Apache is a stunning car and we put it up against its brother the FTX Rokotan, We have lots planned this summer and Short course truck racing is right near the top of the TO DO list.

A couple of great value, decent cars. One of the best things about FTX stuff is the price of spares, they're so cheap! To be honest I wouldn't mind one of these myself....

hoping the fact that it is 4wd drive it will run rings around the slash and senton 2wd but we will have to wait and see...
The motor is actually a 3652 2500kv….. the end can is printed incorrectly. It’s a really nice truck, but I reckon if it had the FTX Zorro Brushless electronics it would be even better (3660 2900kv & 80a ESC)
Even better still with the Zorro brushless 3665 2900kv motor & 80a esc lol. I think the Brushless Zorro with its centre diff would be a better choice than the Apache.

Check out the associated pro4 sc10. Same basically as the rival mt10 but longer wheelbase and short coursified.

Great vid. How did the Apache perform in terms of handling and speed against the Rokotan gents? Much difference? Got a pump track near me but not sure what the score is on using it. You’re there at last knock which I’m guessing is the trick - i.e. not Saturday Afternoon peak BMX time. Great vid and SCTs. Too much fun aren’t they 😊 MR

Looks to be a bit quicker and punchier with the slightly bigger motor and the better shocks means it is a better handling truck also… they are very similar though.

A shame that you couldn't try it on grass because in Tomley's review he encountered overheating issues when running it with a 3S battery on grass.
All our cars over heat when running in grass tracks due to the way we race them but try to run times runs to keep temp down
Great video as always! How’s it compare to the Zorro Brushless with is centre diff etc?!
I absolutely love the Zorro and think Zorro has the edge when it comes to handling but for durability Apache wins hans down

I had one on order , after watching Tomley RC I decided to cancel it. Sub 40mph on 3s not my Cuppa .!

Yes but correct me if I’m wrong they generally Race legally on 2s .
38 mph is generally 2s territory .
Hey guys, I've heard that FTX and VRX sometimes share's the same chassis type, I was wondering if there is an equivalent chassis that VRX has for this type of chassis. (I was asking cuz the VRX brand is available from where I am from [SEA])
I think that is based on the vantage carnage bugsta Zorro style chassis and the Rokatan and Apache are on a different chassis platform and there might not appear in the VRX range
