Lexi thank you for your light in the darkness. And you are a perfect librarian so why fix what's not broken? Evie from the Mummy is an ICON so this is perfect!
Evie from The Mummy is my all-time favorite character!!! I grew up watching the movie and I’m now working to become an archaeologist. I love how people can take different sorts of inspiration from the same character.
It's rally hard there in south africa at the moment, we're under lockdown for 21 days, I really hope this Owls readathon will keep me busy. I'm also a librarian. 😁
So glad you were able to take the time you needed to recoup & destress. I’ve been feeling the same way. ♥️ I knew you’d choose librarian. 😌 I was thinking about doing the graphic design career!
Ah!! such cute editing! When you were talking about the Spellbook of the Lost and Found and said that it was a book set in Ireland, I *immediately* paused and threw that book in my amazon cart xD
#106... I'm doing well. I love books! We should all be doing well while we have books in our lives! I don't follow readathons because I read too slowly to be able to read a full book so it's not fun for me to do them. Be in as many as you want and have fun with all of them! If I read faster I would join them all. I'm gonna go try to drink my coffee now. LOL It was super hot so I was waiting a bit for it to cool down. I hate boiling coffee. There is milk in there but it was already full so not much milk to cool it down much. I'll be back for #107 in a few minutes...
I'm participating for the first time too! I considered trader of tomes but then settled for Magizoologist! I'm also taking a seminar on dragon training. I'm excited!
Thank you for being concerned about your fellow book nerds! It's been stressful, but hanging in there. I'm going for the Trader of Magical Tomes career. Hope your OWLs are going well!
Lol when I read the comments with so many people becoming librarians too I literally thought these were tons of people going to school to be a librarian like you 😂 IIIIIIIII feel dumb. Evie from The Mummy is my hero too oh my gosh! People look at me weird when I say that though. After your reactions to Dead Voices I’m really looking forward to your Turn of the Key reactions. Such a lovely video, especially with the wand magic ✨ I’ll be going for culinary sorcerer and hopefully making Harry Potter baked goods and treats throughout the readathon. I hope you have a good time and enjoy your reads!
I think this readathon is going to be the perfect way to lift spirits and bring us all together during this weird, crazy, scary time, I don’t think it could’ve come at a better moment! I decided to go for Spellmaker this time around✨
thank you for the words of encouragement :) i really needed to hear that and i know a lot of other people need to too 😭 also love this readathon and it's so nice to have it to look forward to! I'm going for a Hogwarts professor in charms :)
I chose Librarian as well! And I chose to read Heartstopper for Ancient Runes, but I'm reading Volume 1. I'm really excited to start the series. Good luck with your OWLs!
Hey Lexi hope you are doing ok, was great to see you in the chat last night over at Gav’s. I’m doing my OWLS for the first time this year and even though I’ve picked Astronomer for my career I’m going the full 12 prompts (oh my goodness) like you said whilst this world is a crazy place, let’s escape this one and spend the month absolutely absorbed in this phenomenal Magical Readathon.
Alexandra Roselyn your tbr is great and I definitely look forward to weekly vlogs during this. The vlogs will be great even if none of us can leave home. Keep safe and I look forward to the next vlog
Thoughtful and well put together video in this time when we are all uncertain and stressed. Thanks for adding a little joy and magic through reading! 💜
LEXI I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS! (also, I feel you. As a fellow full time grad student, may I just say: AGGGHHHHH). Anyway! I'm choosing the Astronomer career and I'm going to get my Animagus Training while I'm at it! I'll be reading: Arithmancy: Crier's War History of Magic: The Last Wish Potions: Saga vol.1 Transfiguration: The Soul of the Sword Best of luck with exams and stay safe
Your TBR looks great! I really think you’ll enjoy Bloom with all the softness and baking. I hope April isn’t TOO stressful for you! I went the route of Carer of Magical Children and I’m so excited to get started! Hope you’re well. ♥️
I normally never read thrillers either but the Turn of the Key ended up being one of my favourite books of last year! I'm going to re read Heartstopper too for the Heart Ruin trope! I really want to read the Spellbokk of the Lost and Found since very recently I read All the bad Apples by Moïra Fowley-Doyle and I Loved it so much !! I can't stop thinking about it. But I don't own it yet so probably won't be for the readathon but hopefully soon after. I'm going for the trader of magical tomes btw. Can't wait so see your vlogs ! 🥰
Yes perfect time for this readathon! I needed that and filming all the videos for that readathon really helped me! That readathon is amazing yes she is one of the best! Ok I'm officially the last person on heart who hasn't read Heartstopper hahaha House of Salt and Sorrows! Liked it! Good luck with your tbr!!!
I'm also doing Librarian. Thanks for the Bloom rec, I was stumped for Dark Arts. I've got A Heart So Fierce and Broken, Wild Beauty, Wayward Son, Wolfsong, and now Bloom.
I went for Librarian last year! This year, I'm trying to be a Trader of Magical Tomes. I really hope you'll enjoy Hearstopper Vol. 3 - it's my favorite in the series so far! And if you're looking for something quick, Bloom is SO good! (Absolutely LOVE the way you edited this btw!)
I'm also becoming a librarian!! here's my tbr ☺️: heart rune - the mighty heart of sunny st james arithmancy - borne dada - our castle by the sea history of magic - the vine witch transfiguration - clockwork angel
I love your videos and how much effort you put on them, that's clear to everyone! I'm participating on O.W.L.s as well! It'll be my fisrt time doing it! I'm so excited! I'm planning on being a writer or journalist, and, if I'm able, carr of magical children (that's my dream job lol)! I love the doodles you put on your videos, how do you do that? With love by your Brazilian fan
I'm so excited for this! Especially considering now I have extra time to complete them being stuck at home. I am going for the Trader of Magical Tomes career and animagus license but my goal is to complete all of the OWLS.
Magical librarians for the win!! I haven't decided all of what I'm gonna read but I know I'm for sure gonna do Mortal Heart (Grave Mercies #3), House of Earth and Blood, This Savage Song and Lirael
I absolutely loved The Extremely Inconvenient Adventures of Bronte Mettlestone! I also loved the sequel “The Whispering Wars”. I hope you love it if you read it!💜💜 the author is also working on a third book as well I believe.😁
I love all your animations! I really want to read Heartstopper at some point; everyone just raves about it. I read the Turn of the Key in December and really enjoyed it! I cant wait to hear your thoughts on it. It wasnt really scary, but I thought it was a good keep-you-on-your-toes thriller. Good luck!!
This was so encouraging!! Thank you for the encouragement and awesome content! I just posted my OWL’s TBR and I’m so excited to get started!! I chose Hogwarts Professor as my career! I’m an English teacher, so since I’m not getting to teach right now I thought it was the perfect career for me! Love your channel!!! Good luck with school this month!

This is super off topic from the readathon, but I know you have been doing your masters degree from home and suddenly I’ve been forced to do it too! Do you have any tips?
YES! Actually I think I'll be doing a study vlog from home to help people but basically just block out a certain amount of time per day where you only do school work and ..dress comfy but dress in real clothes when you go to class. It helps keep your mind more focused somehow? And also if you can don't take an online class in bed...which I mean sometimes I do but..I've noticed I'm more focused when I sit up at a desk or table or even a chair. Hope that helps!!❤️❤️❤️
Alexandra Roselyn I would love to see a study vlog from you! Thanks for the tips! Getting my thesis done seems scarier without seeing my advisor in person 😓 Hope you are doing ok in these weird times!
Can we just take a second and talk about how awful The Mummy 3 was? The Mummy with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz is like one of my favorite movies of all time and I was so pissed when they replaced Rachel in the third one. Off topic, but my heart needed to put that out there. Lol
Omg your wand reveals for the books

I knew you’d choose librarian. 😌 I was thinking about doing the graphic design career!
Turn of the Key wasn’t that scary, but more suspenseful. The end was pretty shocking though!
Ah!! such cute editing! When you were talking about the Spellbook of the Lost and Found and said that it was a book set in Ireland, I *immediately* paused and threw that book in my amazon cart xD
