I've seen somewhere that you can use the V2 goggles for video out on an iPad, android tablet and wondering how you get this to work. I can't for the life of me get this to work. Makes me wonder if goggles need updated for this? I'm on that 0606 firmware still. Thought i'd ask!
It’s funny you should say that, because I recorded this same situation during this video, but edited it out since it was somewhat irrelevant to the topic. The App is call DigiView. Its free and works on my goggles V2, both with my Original air unit and O3 air unit. I thought about making a video on it, but, i think others have already.

Yes, Every thing you said is correct. You should Root the goggles first, then update your goggles and air Unit so that they bind. Then install WTF and the associated Packages that you want on your goggles. Yes, you will have to re-bind every time you switch between the old and new Air Units. I have heard, the most recent firmware allows you to keep a bind in the O3 air unit, but not for the older style Air Units. I have not tested that firmware yet, but at least that's one less binding to do.

I wonder if you can assist me with this problem. I have an 03 system and I have 2 off the old AIR UNITS. I have Goggles V2. On the Old Air units and my V1 goggles are on 01.00.06.08. All work great. My V2 Goggles are on 01.07.00.00 and work only with the 03. Even when I switch them from 03 to FPV/Digital etc. What firmware shoud the V2 Goggles be on to work with the old AIR UNIT and the 03. That way I can give my V1 Goggles to my son? Any help would be appreciated as I have gone to the field to fly and then realised "Darn, wrong drone or goggles" back home no flying.

Hello and thank you for your videos! I am hoping you can help me out so I own both the V2 and goggles too and I have the original cameras and the 03 air unit cameras. I cannot get my V2 goggles to update to a version that allows me to switch it to FPV mode. I am using the FPV assistant I do the update and it says that I’m current. It is not the same version that you’re displaying in your video I’ve even tried doing a hard reset and then doing an update, and it still says that I am current, but it does not have the option in the settings to switch to FPV mode, therefore I cannot find with the 03 air unit. Is there something you can tell me that I’m doing wrong? You are the third RUclipsr that I have asked for help from and I’ve received no response. I’m happy to pay you for your time to get me up and going Let me know what that amount is and how to pay you. I just want to get this to work.
Doing updates on these goggles are VERY specific. You have to follow the tutorials(online/RUclips) step by step. The firmware version should not prohibit you from switching to FPV mode. A couple of things to note. (1)There are two versions of the DJI Assistant App. Make sure you are using the correct one. (2) In order for your V2 goggles to work with both the original VTX and O3 VTX, they(VTX) either need to be updated to the latest firmware(making the original VTX behave like an 03 Air Unit. Or you can Root/Hack the original VTX on older firmware, and keep the O3 on latest firmware(this option requires you to switch the googles between FPV mode and O3 mode for each respective VTX). If you need to revert your goggles to an older firmware, you can do so in the DJI assistant app, and there is usually one or two older firmware also listed. If that does not work, your last option would be to use the “Butter” firmware from the WTFOS website to “rollback” to an older firmware.

I am able to connect my goggles3 to the O3 AU. I was able to connect my goggles V2 to the older air units until I tried to update the older air units then my goggles V2 stopped working with the older air units and I have updated my goggles V2 to the current firmware but the option to switch to FPV mode is not there like I see in the video. again thank you so much for taking the time to type this out. Good question.. For this to work with O3, you only have to update your O3 and Goggles. You can remain in your existing firmware with your original Air Units. On the other hand, you will have to rebind your goggles everytime you switch between the Original and newer O3 AirUnit. It is an inconvenience.
@@OneManUnmanned Appreciate the info. I was afraid that was how it was going to be. Maybe either DJI or WTFOS will make that easier at some point. Plus, I have the DJI FPV potato that has been hacked for no NFZ or altitude limit, so that might further complicate things for me if I go this route one day.

@@OneManUnmanned I only meant to get one, but promptly broke one of the ufl plugs when I took the antenna off to get it into a build. Sent it off to DJI and knew it would be a while before I got it back, so I bought another to finish the build. I will use the second one in the new betafpv whoop frame when I receive it. I modified my Crux35 frame and dropped it to 3" props for the first build. I am fine with only having them in small cinematic builds and keeping Vistas in the larger stuff that can carry a gopro. At least for now:>)

What if you don't have the option under Setting/About to switch a/c models? All I have is Rest All at the very bottom

Yes, switching between the two requires a re-binding procedure. It kind of sucks, but don’t see DJI doing anything to fix it on the V2 goggles.

It does not work in conjunction with the O3 Air Unit. But if you rooted your goggles, you can easily use it with the original Ait units.

Wow, two O3 Air Units? That's pretty good. I'm still using one O3 and one Vista. I do want another O3 since it's performing very well.

I don’t own the Goggles2, but my image quality is fine. Hopefully someone else can chime in.
