Installation and 1st impression of the Open IPC system can be found here, and using your existing goggles is a possibility. ruclips.net/video/uVBRpRsg_YA/видео.html
The runcam version of openipc uses a usb wireless dongle as a receiver. You have FPVue android which allows to vue the video on your android device, FPVue_xr is a POC that runs on the quest ! We are still ongoing but it is really promising ! I'm so hyped to have a usable cheap HD system ^^
I've just fallen in love with walksnail, but once companies start making lighter kits and goggles I think open source option is always gonna win in the long run
@@OneManUnmanned Yeh I'm not regretting my walksnail purchases because i'm thinking it will be atleast another year before we have stable/mature products on the market , and I don't wanna fly analog for that long!
Thanks, I appreciate that. Yeah, I think we’re all waiting for a VRX with HDMI out. Its still possible with this current system, and I’ve talked about it in the install video here: ruclips.net/video/uVBRpRsg_YA/видео.html
I can imagine a whole new era of low cost digital FPV products with this integrated into them, replacing analog ones. Micro RC cars with this already installed...
I was just getting ready to purchase the analog split 4 from Happy Model when I saw your video. Things move too fast in this hobby. Emax Tiny Hawk 2 is only available on ebay now.
I totally agree, and I’m sure its in the works. in the mean time, I’ve done an install video and its possible to use your existing goggles, as long as it has an HDMI in port. ruclips.net/video/uVBRpRsg_YA/видео.html
No footage if how the image looks? No possibility to hook the vrx up to like a HDzero goggle? Really interesting system, looking forwad to some flight footage/video from the cam image. Nice to see you testing this. Cheers!

Hello Emax, i am a software developer with main focus on image recognition and production automation. I would love to get my hands on a development sample of this camera system. Please tell me who will support my request in your company and which steps to take for a speedy delivery?
Curious, does the USB C on the VRX work with AR glasses like the XREAL? Uses displayport over USB C so would be curious if that would just be plug and play (with power injection of course)
I don't think so, as the processing is being handled on the device. At least I would be surprised if the XREAL would handle the required processing without modification. I believe the VRX can basically be thought of as an external USB network device connected over OTG. The decoding of the stream gets handled on the device it's connected to.
Recording takes place within your mobile device. I think range would vary depending on VTX and environmental conditions…I’m sure a few hundred meters for the 100mw version, and a few km for the 800mw variant. There are videos on YT from MarioFPV doing range testing.
No that's not how it works. You could connect it to you device and then use HDMI output from that to get it within goggles. Radxa Zero 3W is another option. The VRX here I believe is really just a USB network device connected over OTG. The stream that it sends still needs to be decoded on the device.
I wish they'd make a set of goggles that can accommodate a fully functional and somewhat integrated Analog module as well. It would be a truly "open source" solution. For whoops, analog is still king.
Hi, I'm really interested in next video after installing it in a drone and test it in flight. It's time for me to move from analog to digital system but all "official" systems are too expensive. I definitely will move to open ipc. Please test it 😊
I agree, this is a very cost effective way to go digital. I just finished my install and 1st impression video here: ruclips.net/video/uVBRpRsg_YA/видео.html
How do you handle the reports of the toxic developer environment from other prominent FPV related figures? I personally don’t want to buy into a bad community, where HDZero is legendary for being a constructive environment.
Cons: (1)It’s not really proven (still in development/testing phase). (2) Its not refined(still using 3D printed cases) and somewhat bulky for 800mw version VTX. (3) No goggles exist for the system Pros: (1) Open Source which leads to: (a) Fast development (b) Lower cost (c) More pilot involvement/contributions (d) More options for hardware (2) Lightweight (3) Low latency (4) More digital options for pilots and increased competition among manufacturers
Also its encrypted. its based on wifi tech and security camera tech.. so it should be commodity/jelly bean components.. also should be lots more power efficient I hope.. one day.
openIPC isn't intended to be a fpv system, but a open source security camera system through wifi/LAN, while some hobbyist do managed to modify it with some feature of video transmission using wifi which well-invested from other projects (wifibroadcast, openhd), and make it to a real deal
Not exactly what you said. We used WFB-ng and later RubyFPV as a WiFi link and a modified OpenIPC firmware. The combination made this awesome fpv system.
@@OneManUnmanned MarioFPV mentioned on his channel that they were in the works, and apparently had an imagine of a prototype for honorary members. I haven't checked it out though, just relaying the information.

I can't wait to try Open IPC, i bet there will be companies jumping on this just like when ELRS started out. Great info, thanks for sharing.
Not a problem.. companies are starting to do so. I think RunCam and EMAX are the two that comes to mind. It's only going get better from here.
@@OneManUnmanned Yes, i can't wait.
Sounds amazing! Looking very forward to an open source digital option! Hopefully it picks up steam as quickly as ELRS did!
Me too…ELRS was advancing at a really quick pace.
Cant wait
Waiting is the hardest part…Install video is here: ruclips.net/video/uVBRpRsg_YA/видео.html
I'm kinda excited about this. Been watching this develop for a minute and it seems to be picking up steam.
I agree..The hardware is getting smaller, and UI seems to be getting better. Thanks, Bro!
I think Meta Quest 2 or 3 can perfectly fit as headset for this system. It has powerful hardware, Android and high-end screens and optics 👍
Thats not a bad idea…I guess it comes down to cost now.

Could you use a usb c to hdmi adapter to display the signal in some goggles like Walksnail or HDZero?
Yes, that's a high possibility... I'll be confirming that in a few days.

would it go in a pavo 20 pro btw love your vids

90 fps? Analog is 25 to 30 fps! What's DJI FPS? Anyways I'm impressed!
I thin DJI Has multiple frame rates..I think 30 and 60fps.
Can this be linked with VTX to DJI goggles?
Possibly to DJI V1 and V2 goggles…I’ll be be doing some testing on it soon.
does it use the FPVue APP like the Runcam openIPC setup along with a gs.key file?
Yes it does
My gut tells me, this will be the answer
Yes…
