I heard JB say last night that the latest wtfos root will work on the latest v2 firmware now. Is that correct? Blunty said it was a huge break for wtf!
That's correct. I think Blunty announced it first on Facebook then on the news with JB. I think it's called "Butter" and allows firmware rollback even if you're beyond the point of a certain firmware number. I'll link it below. github.com/fpv-wtf/butter
@@OneManUnmanned oh shit, I’m on it like a bonnet, brother!!! hello Sr, have a question. Iam using the dji fpv potato v2 googles, and also a custom build cinewhoop. Thing is that on the air unit menu (in googles) it says a a firmware version, and if i conncet the googles to the pc it says another version...the potato fpv googles havew two firmwares as it have to modes? one for the potato and the other more to air unit? any thoughts on this? thanks!
There are two versions, because the goggles V2 has two seperate partitions. One is for the original Air units found in most hobby drones, and the other partition is for consumer drones like the FPV Drone “potato”. Depending on what you’re trying to do, you might have to update only one side or both parts of your goggles.
hm I don't get it, I thought the goggles are now capable of showing the betaflight OSD (out of the box)? Or is this only necessary for the v1 and v2 goggles?
BF 4.4 no need to do any CLI commands - Attention with that !!! Can be setup into UART tab. and one more thing - WTF has a couple CLI commands for more stable OSD one - package-config set msp-osd compress_osd true and second - package-config apply msp-osd for stable flow data OSD
I have the DJI-FPV-drone, Remote, and V2 goggles combo as well as Caddx Vista and DJI air units. If I root my goggles, will I still be able to use my DJI-FPV-drone and controller? If not, what firmware I need to install on my DJI-FPV-Drone and Controller so its compatible with all the airunits and FPV-Drone and controller?
Sorry Riz, I did not see your reply. This video was made a week before Butter released. With Butter, there's no way to "brick" or lock-out your V2 goggles, even if you're on the latest fimware.
hi, i dont possibly change the firmware for 606 version i have only the 607 version on the goggles, but in the vista unit have the 606 version... how i fix the last version 606 in the goggles ? tanks in advance
Goggles v2 rooted and air unite (lite). But why some of the osd won’t show up when i try to pun some elements on osd tab? But i can see other elemts such as vbat, mah, somehow other elements won’t show up. Could you tell me why it feels like i’ve only half hacked my gear?
I don't think it's half rooted. I don't know why it would be doing that, but recheck your betaflight settings, your CLI commands, and you're in the right NTSC or PAL settings.
I made the mistake of starting off at the latest firmware beyond what was shown earlier. Both devices are rooted with WTFOS installed, but they won't pair. I guess I'll have to wait months for someoene to release a fix for this. I can't downgrade or upgrade in DJI Assistant 2 (FPV Series) as it

Hey, I use the v2 goggles with an analog receiver on the AV from the goggles. When you have really bad signal the DJI goggles fade out completely and the DJI symbol comes up. Very annoying to lose the picture a few seconds and that might lead to a crash with bad signal. No I've got all the wtf mods installed. One of them is the AVin mod that is surposed to keep the goggles from going into bluescreen and that dji symobol. So it's surposed to stay like analog goggles until the signal somes back. After installing that AVin mod, do I have to change or set anything for it to work? Where do I do that? REALLY appreciate some help. Can't find any Info on that anywere.
I’ve heard of pilots having similar experiences with their goggles, but there are so many factors, including the specific goggle, and what adapter was used. I’m using the BDI adapter and don’t experience the Blue/black screen with DJI logo. I don’t know what you’ll have to do to make that mod work. I don’t think there are any settings within the DJI Goggles. Here’s my experience with the BDI adapter. ruclips.net/video/yUjWMhT5UhI/видео.html
@@OneManUnmanned I'm using that uruav / eachine analog adapter on the side from BG. The TBS Fusion is my analog receiver. That video is more an anboxing than showing actual flight experience. How so?! I have the v2's onthe way and a vista...! Just hopinggg to get it alll working together asap😬😬🤗 Which firmware should I use? Any tips guys? Thanks!
The video should still work for you. I think the outdated info pertains to the fact that I mention some air units can't be rolled back to an older firmware. Any Air Unit can now be rolled back with the "butter" firmware.
Good tip and advice instead of typing the CLI commands. I've done that on my Tinywhoop build. The only caveat is that you need to be in BetaFlight 4.3 or later to use presets. Alot of drones are not on 4.3, therfore they'll need to type it in the CLI.

Hello, awesome tutorial. How do you get LQ in OSD?
If my MSP is in port 1, which number I have to put in CLI?
You can choose to shown link quality in your OSD from the OSD tab in BetaFlight. If you’re using UART1, then you’ll have to type 0 in the CLI.
