I bought My Mercury Mariner Hybrid in 2009. It is/was the Greatest SUV Ever Made. Garage kept, 84k miles, EXCELLENT CONDITION, never driven in salt, the interior smell was still brand new. On Jan 10th of this year, I was rear-ended on the hwy and lost her. I hope that if I make into Heaven, GOD flips the keys, and I drive through a perfect hwy, where everyone else knows how to drive. I miss her every day.
Love my non-turbo 2023 CX-5 that just got to the 2-year anniversary of driving it off the lot. I am 6' and I found the CX-30 cramped. The CX-50 was unnecessarily large for my needs. So I ended up with the CX-5. In 2023 the CX-5 didn't have auto start-stop (yaaayy!). That arrived in the 2024 model year. The 2023 also had Carplay, but not wireless Carplay. Wireless Carplay and the touchscreen instead of the scroll wheel input also came in 2024.

We just got a 2017 RAV4 LE for our grandson to go back and forth to College. It had 107,000 miles and was $16,000. Not as deluxe as a Limited but it should last him for his college career.
I don't know where Scotty lives where a new Rav4 Hybrid costs $56,000. I live in one of the most expensive counties in the US and there are a ton available for as low as $33,000.
Took your advice years ago, lucked out, and got a RX350 2014 with less than 80k. V6 Is great. The car has run great, other than tire sensors, sounds like transmission slips usually in the first couple of miles, but not enough to be annoying. Be safe, have a great week.
Lucas transmission additive for a slipping transmission. Works amazingly well. I used to have an old Volvo, and it remmied the slipping. Scotty also recommends it
What I've told people for a number of years now is, if you want to know what car to buy go to a used car dealer and see what cars you don't see their, like say Toyota Camry, are Chevy Impala. Then it's a Lexus ES300h (hybrid) for the win. I have one (2023 Ultra Luxury Edition) and it's the best vehicle I have ever owned. It's a sleeper for a luxury vehicle.
ES 350 is pretty solid.
Not as safe if in a collision with all the big trucks on road today

Best years for Rav 4 2016-2018. The before are not that good

Has CVT but friend has 120k+ miles so far ok. It's not a Nissan bad level CVT.
@@Corkfish1My 17 Forester( cvt) has 192000 miles.
I drain/fill both the CVT and diff's every 30K miles.
Runs like a top
@@Marty-j9e I've owned Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota and Mazda. The only brands I'd buy now are Mazda and Toyota.
