Goa has gone past its date for beach tourism. All other states of India are catching up or already caught up with beach tourism. India has 7500km of coast line and Goa has smallest coastline of all these coastal states.

I kind of agree with your views..I have been always against investing in goa for returns. Goa can be enjoyed only for limited period of time in a year. For an outsider, living in Goa is tough (despite a far better AQI than delhi-ncr) for various reasons (roads n other infrastructure like transport, power, etc)
I am brought up and currently based in Goa. I must say that your video is spot on. Every word about the quality of tourist crowd consistently degrading, safety for women, dying Goan culture, local politics and overtourism is true. The fact about high supply and low demand for airbnb property is also true. I must add here that road traffic accidents out of drunk driving by tourists who rent vehicles is a growing menace for the locals. Whether it's for a local Goan or a tourist seeking peace and tranquility on a vacation, Goa has unfortunately changed for the worse over the last 10-15 years. For a better deal, please consider investing elsewhere.
100% correct observations, advise. Goa is not for outsiders. Locals will never give you a proper service, and only local manager can get any work done, but these managers are anti outsiders...so do your own maths!

Completely agree with your opinion. Me and my husband we love Goa and upon interacting with locals they said they feel threatened by people from other states. People are very warm and relaxed in Goa and they feel they might lose their heritage if outsiders are settling here. Well, everyone wants to earn and have a good life but that doesn't always mean you have to pluck every fruit from every tree!

I along with my two friends have recently visited Goa and returned 3 days ago. They see tourists as ATMs and ask for extra payment everywhere. We ourselves are bachelors but the scams there and addictions and all, we have decided that we will never ever go to Goa again and we have decided that next time will go some place that is quiet and peaceful and some place which has not been very commercialized yet like Port Blair. Guruji you are very right. Goa is truly overhyped and saturated.

Not only that many owners have moved abroad and when you buy some property through some agent one has to be careful. The signatures would not be available of all the owners. If you buy later all are putting cases. This was seen in our own eyes.

We have a column on how the tourism in Goa is dying and our minister Mr Godinho publicly admitting that our tourism industry is dying and tourists are preferring “cheaper” options like Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and srilanka and not retuning to Goa.
