What a brilliant presentation! It's incredibly thorough and informative. It's helped me realize that I may be a person who needs to give up all sweeteners in order to get in to ketosis; something that has been eluding me for a long, long time. I think that I'm going back to basics for awhile. Thank you Jolene!
Glad it was helpful! I'm one of those who needs to give up (or almost give up) sweeteners of any type. I used to have a sweet, fat bomb with each meal. I now limit my sweets to once or twice a week on days that I consume the fewest carbs -- and I NEVER eat sweets later in the day.
Great video very informative. I’ve been on keto for about five years and some of that stuff. I didn’t know I have a question for you. You talked about Lows keeping the cookie moist what makes a cookie crispy I love crunchy I miss crunchy breads, crackers, cookies, I missed the crunch chips, what do I do to my cookies to make them crispy instead of soft cookies looking forward to your reply. This is coming from Toronto Canada.
The crispness or softness of cookies depends on three things: moisture, baking temperature, and baking time. For crispy cookies, use less liquid, bake at higher temperatures, and bake a little bit longer. Check out the following: www.thespruceeats.com/cookies-soft-vs-crispy-1328684
