If some or all of the allulose doesn't get metabolized and goes out the urine and feces, the first thing I think is whether having any type of sugar in the urine would make the environment in the bladder and kidney ripe for infection. What say you Dr. Sugar?
Yes. Because monk fruit takes up so much less physical space, it CANNOT be the sole sweetener used to bake. I have no idea about ratios/amounts with other sweeteners though. There's a well known and well enjoyed blend of monk fruit and erythritol, I don't personally like (but my brother does), made by a brand called lakanto. I suggest trying it. It's 1:1 sugar replacement in baking.

Great information, .Dr. I know this question doesn't belong here. Beat Diabetes video said that apples are a big no for diabetics, is that true? According do Dennis, no one can't eat anything anymore. Please advise, thanks Sir. He said no friuts.huh? He said no fruits, no carbs.
I did not exactly understand what you were saying. I use sugar in my coffee so to replace it do I use monk fruit with a arythratol? Is arythatol sweet and will that make it too sweet? Or do i use monk fruit with allulose or alone. Can you give me a precise answer? Thank you because i really need to know. I am still confused.
For coffee, use Monk Fruit + Allulose for smooth sweetness with no aftertaste. If you prefer a sugar-like feel, try Monk Fruit + Erythritol (may have a slight cooling effect). Adjust sweetness to taste. Consult your doctor if you have specific dietary concerns!
Or pure stevia powder can be used or pure monk fruit powder. Don't use a liquid sweetener in chocolate making because water and oil don't mix well. I make homemade chocolate and I mix pure monk fruit powder with the cocoa powder and dry milk powder (if using that too), then I mix the melted cocoa butter with the powders and whisk till dissolved.
Many are mixed with Erythritol, which is fine as it is a sugar alcohol and humans don't have the enzymes required to process it, so it basically goes out of your body the same way it came in - that's also why you don't count the carbs in the nutritional info when it comes to this ingredient ;)
two questions. Some people have said that monkfruit sweeteners will cause insulin to jump up higher on the next meal. Do you know of any studies that have shown that? next question is if allulose is disposed of through the urine, will long term use put any extra strain on the kidneys?
Good info! Subscribed. I'm not diabetic or pre-diabetic, but I've tried all of the sugar substitutes. My taste buds prefer Xylitol over all the others. I've had to throw out fresh baked goods because of the horrible taste when using Monk Fruit, Erythritol and Stevia. Just gross! Xylitol, on the other hand, tastes 98% like sugar and I bake sweet goods using it. Allulose is a close second, but still has a slightly weird taste to me.
Just be cautious with xylitol - it causes lethal insulin reactions in other animals (such as dogs and cats)... And *can* cause a blood sugar spike for some - but not for others; only a glucose test can tell you. But it's GREAT for oral health as most (all?) Bacteria eat it thinking it'll be like sugar and it's not - they starve to death.
I am a type 2 - non insulin dependent diabetic with congestive heart failure. I take Entresto, Farziga and Carvedilol. With diet, I am maintaining my blood glucose levels at or below 100. I tried a couple of products sweetened with Allulose and found that my blood glucose plummeted afterwards. 60 one time, 40 another. I threw out everything with Allulose as an ingredient.
Thank you for this. Do you notice that your blood sugar levels rise more 1hr after eating than when you eat food without any sweetener? Also have you tried monkfruit sweetener and what are it's results?
@@msp9810 I have not experienced a rise 1 hour after eating low carb or Allulose sweetened foods. I have tried a few things sweetened withmonkfruit and did not have any problems with it.

What are your thoughts on BochaSweet? It's not supposed to affect blood sugar, but it does mine. 😔
FYI: You probably should read in the journal "Nature Medicine" published March 6th, 2023, about a study linking the use of Erythritol to heart attacks and strokes. See CNN Health article published by Sandee Lamotte February 28th, 2023
There were no links. It was a badly run survey with many assumptions.
Survey?
I wouldn't believe anything from CNN!
So... My take away is an allulose/erythritol/monk fruit/stevia blend would be a very good all around sugar replacement... Right?
I agree.
I would avoid erythritol.... too problematic. Stick with monk fruit and allulose
I would like to see the grocery stores and convenient stores would carry drink with monk fruit instead of sugar.....there are so many pre - diabetics and diabetics why. Ot give us healthy sweetner alternatives.
A nutritionist said in a lecture that erythritol is worse than white sugar in his opinion. Allulose is not a sugar alcohol but seems to be similar. Is allulose bad if erythritol is also bad. Is Allulose a problem for people with IBS?
Not as bad as erythritol, but it can be tough on the digestive system if eaten in large amounts...monk fruit ftw
Excellent! Many thanks for sharing bro
You're welcome, @azdhan! I'm glad you found the video helpful. Keep tuning in for more content!
@@SugarMDs Yes it was very helpful I purchased a 50/50 mixture of monkfruit and allulose. I am a Turkisk Halva Addict, so will be using it to make a healthier version that is more along keto lines, but hopefully tasty enough to fool my sweet tooth 🙂
I bought rx sugar because my daughter is pre diabetic and we are changing our lifestyles in our household to essentially save hers.
I bought rx sugar. Bc Tomorrow is Christmas and we usually make homemade raspberry lemonade. And I'm looking for substitutes for sugar for the lemonade. Would rx sugar be a good substitute in homemade lemonade?
Doctor Sugar. Hi, I just subscribed to your channel. I am type two diabetic and wondering if it would be a good idea to mix both Monk fruit and Alluslose? With this be a good combination for a type two diabetic? Ty video is very informative information for me. Thank you so very much. ✌️❤️
Thank you for your comment @candysmoonlight. Please watch this video which may give you the answer to your question: ruclips.net/video/nUzcWr68kDE/видео.html
Was there any problem with the gut health when using the allulose ?
Where I can buy them please ,thank you doc
If some or all of the allulose doesn't get metabolized and goes out the urine and feces, the first thing I think is whether having any type of sugar in the urine would make the environment in the bladder and kidney ripe for infection. What say you Dr. Sugar?
I use a blend of both monk fruit and allulose and they actually lower blood sugar!
Which is better for DIY cocktail liqueur and Simple Syrup used for cocktails
Thank you for this video but do I have to mix monk fruit with something else to bake? I want to try in baking but have no idea the ratio.
@@ae31860 thank you I will do some research.
I have never seen a total monk fruit brand, it always comes with erythritol so you can use it as 1:1 ratio like the doc said.
There is now a monk fruit/allulose product by Lakanto
... but allulose burns easier then sugar, which can cause bitterness... lower the temperature!
good day doc., may I ask if I can eat the monggo everyday.thanks.
Here's a helpful video for you:

Do they affect insulin but not blood sugar
Thanks for information

Great information, .Dr. I know this question doesn't belong here. Beat Diabetes video said that apples are a big no for diabetics, is that true? According do Dennis, no one can't eat anything anymore. Please advise, thanks Sir. He said no friuts.huh? He said no fruits, no carbs.
Would a Monk fruit/Erythritol blend sweetener break a fast?
Where can I find monkfruit without other aditives?
Lakanto has liquid drops which is only monkfruit and a natural citrus extract
I don't use monk fruit anymore because of the erythrothnol because of the recent studies, now i only use allulose.
There is now a monk fruit/allulose product by Lakanto... without erythritol!
Now I know why the monk fruit is not dissolving in coconut oil on double boiler when I make home made chocolate bars. I should use allulose?
Yep
Yes. Just be careful because allulose burns at high temps and makes food taste bitter....
What if I don't have diabetes can I use that.?
Monk fruit is one of the traditional Chinese medicines, for dry throat sort of problems.
Yes it had medicinal features. Thank you Nomade
@@SugarMDs
Love your information. I have been diabetes for many years. Thank you
Thanks for the sweet info.
Of course Celara. Anytime
I'm curious about the effects of Monk Fruit and Allulos sweetners on your arteries and veins. Does it show up as plaque?
But Doc ,the monk fruit sweetener I bought is mix with erythritol , it's is ok?
Many are mixed with Erythritol, which is fine as it is a sugar alcohol and humans don't have the enzymes required to process it, so it basically goes out of your body the same way it came in - that's also why you don't count the carbs in the nutritional info when it comes to this ingredient ;)
@@alpoulin1 Thanks for the input!
@@alpoulin1 Thanks 😊.
More studies are showing erythritol as being more problematic.
two questions. Some people have said that monkfruit sweeteners will cause insulin to jump up higher on the next meal. Do you know of any studies that have shown that?
next question is if allulose is disposed of through the urine, will long term use put any extra strain on the kidneys?
With insulin one high spike doesn't say much. The area under the curve over a longer period is important
Probably not with pure monk fruit.
Good info!
I'm very aware of Xylitol. I don't have to worry about any of that.

What about monk fruit and stevia combinations
Good if you like it
I am a type 2 - non insulin dependent diabetic with congestive heart failure.
Can you recommend a good tasting allulose product??? So far i have not liked the taste but want to!
Is it therapeutoc if I have a 1,500 blood level of Thoamine with Diabetes?
What's high does? I put some in my chia water to sweeten it up.
