Ay, yo también estaré ahí, qué ensiedad!!! Rick es un genio, nunca decepciona, por su calidad y no perdió el toque a pesar de ser bastante grande!!! Suerte y que tengamos buen show! ♥
Can anybody tell me the name of the concert, or if it is available to be purchased on the internet? I love Wakeman's music, but this time the setting is just great.
DuckOfDoom ~ Yup, me too. This is _very hard_ to get right! Apparently Rick was quite upset in '73 trying to get it, and wasn't fun to be around that day. He kept making them do it again, and again. said ''lt _had_ to be like that'' ~ RW
Jean ~ lts way different with an orchestra isnt it? l like it in its own right, yet the studio version is in my heart! These orchestras must be a tad pricey indeed!
He's turned it into something that could be used as theme music to Mission Impossible. The original was genuinely savage and wild. This has been tamed, domesticated and neutered. A shame.
@@user-kj3ch3ke8m , yes, I could see a youthful Alan White literally leaning into his kit, slamming the living hell out of it with fire and fury. One of the most savage drum pieces I've ever heard...
I wish he would use the real hammond and analog synths more... he has an aversion to retro sounds it seems... always chooses brassy bright digital timbres......
emilshare ~ Ahhh YES! Those analogue boards were _beautiful_ weren't they? Although the melotron was a bugger to move, n service, l've never heard a _perfect_ replacement for that flutey distant hissy string sound he got on songs like 'Sunrise' 6:29 - 6:23min, S. Katru 4:36 - 4:48. Those are just 2 examples of that melotron sound that is not easy to get perfect! Theres a bunch of COOL stuff he does in ''Going for the One Sessions'' TOO! A barrel of FUN! xDDDD
The original was so much better and he should have stuck to the same sounds and format, the tempo was better on the original to, this version is like a bunch of people on Zimmer frames playing at W slower pace....
..just few questions....where is the HAMMOND ? Why the drummer is so soft...? Where is the bassist ? Where the original solo lines ? .....still love the original version in just 5 elements ! Very progressive and essential...!!!
This is a different piece entirely. As though the orchestra had hired a marginal session musician to fill in the organ part. Nice enough, but Anne of Cleves it is not.
BEST off the album!! l've never heard anything quite like it!
Keyboard Magician

Rick Wakeman live at Hampton Court Palace.
Rick Wakeman and Clive Nolan are the best keyboards players ...

La original es mucho mejor....
DE TODAS MANERAS!!!
sera por causa del cris squire?
Its lacking a bit of evil at the end.
Good but i prefer the 1973's version ...

I agrada with you. The 70's is the best so far.

Hmmmm... This live performance is really quite different from the original album version.
Not a very good one though.
Hate the bass line!!!! In the original album is awesome... Here is... is... cheap!
Spectacular!
