Such a beautifully dark rendition of a great number.
Hi there Love Rae and Kitty
It's not the happiest song in the book to start with. They made it doomier?
Absolutely blown away. Brilliant rendition.
Grande Sr. Wakeman. Y el guitarrista David Patton. Buenísima interpretación musical.
Patton Empieza (start) con E Lucevan le Stelle.
Maravilhoso, uma das minhas trilhas sonoras preferidas👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Amazing how much of current music has been built on synthetic production methods. I well remember Wakeman's work from the 80's and 90's. It was, and largely still is, great stuff.
First time I heard him was when I'd just gotten my first set of decent headphones, Koss Pro4AA "head crushers". We had a radio station that would play entire records clear through without interruption at night, and when they played Ricks new album, it was HEAVEN!!!
Best phones I ever heard though, and still have a pair, are the Audio Technica TK33 open air electrets....THOSE are magnificent. You can listen forever at higher levels than you should be with no fatiguing whatsoever....as close to being there as any transducter I've ever heard. Good memories. Mine need the electrets "recharged" now though, so they don't sound like they used to...one of these days I'll get around to it.
an amazing interpretation by two exceptional musicians.
Impresionante, qué maravilla.
This is beautiful 😊❤ x
Ohhh it's beautiful!!
Fantastic stuff ..there is something really creative going on here as well as great musicianship.
shivers up and down my spine
Bravo gentlemen! Well done!
¡¡Esta es una de mis canciones favoritas!!
Album called “classical connection”
He re-arranged this song in the style of Prokofiev
Magnificent.
Mejor dicho que grandes maestros
Amazing. love it !
Thank you so very much to both❤
Just saw Rick on his solo tour do this. What a musician. Derry N.H.
Bravo!!👏👏👏👏👏
WOW!
A great manufacturer by Rick Wakeman ,song done by this done 👍
A Korg M1 and a Roland D-50 ! Best of both keyboard worlds Korg and Roland in the day...
Blimey
Genius.
EPIC ...
Excellent
Amazing 😢🎉
BRAVO!...
Wakeman is great
Got to mention Davy Paton....great guitarist
David Paton is of course Ex-Alan Parsons Project and Pilot member
meravigliaaaaaaaaaaa
IMHO, this is a beautiful and musically interesting variation of this famous song. I really like how Wakeman programmed his synths to be so responsive. Notice his hands on the D-50; when he plays harder, the attack on the synth is faster. And the synth he uses to harmonize with the acoustic guitar for the melody (I can't see what synth it is) was programmed with a beautiful tone that compliments the nylon stringed guitar. Geez, this is good; selection of sounds, transcription and, of course, playing.
I'd Like to see both of them doing it again, this time with the sounds available now days... Today's standards, even just responsiveness-wise we're light years away from this 90s narrow sounding synths.
However, They managed to deliver a magical and creative interpretation of this song which I truly adore
The third Synth could be a Korg T1 😉
I hate synthesizers past the 1970s, then Wakeman plays them and makes me feel like an idiot.
Yesss. From OperaTosca.
Oh no look at Rick Wakeman go 🎶🎶 ...🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹..👍🏾💥 🎼
these chicks rock!
13 marzo Roma ❤
All the lonely wakemen, where do they all belong?
Someplace with less embarrassing pants.
@@arlingtonhynes that's all he got from the divorce
Thank you
As a Beatles lover_ a huge thank you.
OK: Rick Wakeman is a God.
But David Paton is an excellent guitar/bass/fretless player.
Together are awesome.
please stop the clock this is good stuff
Only rick could make you stop and listen to this.
Großartigi Künstler
Well, this is not an easy piece to listen. It took me a while to learn it, pay attention to the details and understand the structure as well as the details. Great contrasts built in, the analog guitar vs the electronic sound, the smooth melody vs the hectic keyboard play, and many more that one can not describe. As of today it has become one of my most often listened pieces - thank you, much appreciated.
Great Paul McCartney, what a fertile composer.
The name of the guitarist should be mentioned on the title as well.
True, synthetic sounds age quickly (sorry mister Wakeman, but it's not your fault).
However, of course, Master Wakeman is great as usual.
Yeah!.. guittar sounds great,sure!...
Guitarist is David Paton from Scotland. Had some success with the band , Pilot, and then was main guitar player/bassist with ,The Alan 1parsons Project.
Laurent Dubois
They make it so easy for Eleanor seem to be running for her life.
RICK WAKEMAN SPACEMAN.
Spaceman 3? ;)
Guitarr start with " E luccevan le stelle". (Aria, Opéra Tosca, by Giacomo Puccini)
"""RICK WAKEMAN"""
New interpretations?? This was 1991!
Very progressive , symphonic version.
Keith and Rick were buddys
"all the lonely people, where do they all come from"_
Eleanor Rigby Vs The Mutant Rat-Men from Mars 2:13
Beatles Lonely Peoples?
Yes!!
Remembering its a composition of the great Paul MacCartney!
Wakeman, channeling Walter Liberace, to be sure 🙄
I have a strange feeling like Rick is rushing a bit here at least when he joins at the beginning, is it just me? I do not have a great ear :P
What's with thte guitarist not getting any FUGGIN credit????
"Lucevan le stelle"??? C'mon, it's a bit too much for poor Eleanor!
Would it nor be appropriate to acknowledge this rendition is as much to do with David Paton !! Disgraceful credit billing on this video !! tut tut.
Those awful digital synth sounds of the nineties... Yuk !
Just wait another 30 years and it doesn't matter. It's not about the sounds but the musicianship.
Sound great to me..
The reason is it was recorded in the 90's .
Such a worthless criticism, but to be expected here on the interweb. It was nearly 30 years ago, and Rick evokes the sound he felt was fitting. I saw him perform in the 70’s 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s, and again last night in Los Angeles. He has always been so important to me, and always beyond comparison. To critique him is utterly pointless.
Only sounds good because Wakeman is playing them. Anyone else puke...
Technically brilliant. And very boring as well.
A bit like your post then !
Boring!!??
You don’t know sh1t!
Dreadful arrangement.
Love Rick, and the guy is a great guitarist but this is truly awful.
