David Paton: a greatly underrated artist.
He is a nice person and a very modest guy.

David Patton's classical adaptation to this song is incredible especially being backed by Rick Wakeman's orchestrated keys. I always knew David was an amazing bass player while in his group Pilot but he's an equally incredible guitar player as well as a composer. This is a Beatle fan's easy listening dream version of this song. Just brilliant!

I'm interested to know what kind of music those who gave this a thumbs down like, because this is just superb. Was a massive fan of Pilot as a young girl in the 70s, but, David Paton really is a supremely talented man.
Oddly enough, not long after I discovered Prog Rock and then through ELP explored classical music, so now my tastes remain extremely eclectic as I still love 'Magic, 'January' and Prokofiev and everything in between. I think there is very little in modern music that would encourage young people to explore a wider range of music, which is sad.

An excellent performance by two great musicians. I could not help but here some pilot motifs in the mix, possibly deliberate... possibly not (think of the track Sooner or Later). Like most people, I already knew that Rick Wakeman was a virtuoso performer on the keyboards. However, I had no idea how good a classical guitarist Dave Paton was. Armed with a stunning voice, he is indeed a powerhouse of a musician and no small wonder Alan Parsons snapped him up for his Alan Parsons Project albums.
Finally, I would love to know if those were orchestral presets on Ricks Roland keyboard. They sounded pretty convincing at times (perhaps he was triggering VSL samples?)
