I was there. When Rick started to play on the grand piano my face was flooded with tears. This is true.So much emotion.I had to wait 35 years before seeing my hero at long last :D. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT :D
I'm listening to this on the anniversary of the execution of Anne Boleyn 483 years ago. How wonderful that Mr Wakeman included that beautiful hymn at the end of such an exciting piece of music. It's been a few years since I've heard this but it still sounds amazing. Thank you Mr Wakemen and rest peacefully dear Queen Anne.
Rick Wakeman is surely one of the great creative geniuses in British music, and perhaps when considering both his technique and the poetic lyricism of his compositions, he stands comfortably amongst the great composers irrespective of period. In the progressive rock and prog. rock/orchestral fusion arena he stands on the highest altar. Because of his fearless inventiveness that disregarded norms, he was instantly original. The scale and sheer power of his productions made him inimitable.
@HordrissTheConfuser Yes. Adam Wakeman (who is always smiling....such a happy human), orchestra, choir, Ray Cooper and unless I'm mistaken, the bass player played for Jethro Tull. What an unbelievable combination of fine musicians. I feel blessed to have heard them play together.
The original album was not played live. Rick used layers of playing to build each track. Granted, he is RICK, but he still has only two hands ( I know, I've met him several times) and so a second keyboard player is needed at times when more than 2 synth sounds are required.

Wow! Such a beautiful composition.
Wow! Beautiful as it was 40 years ago. Adam is just as gorgeous as his father was a few years back. Those Wakemans sure have some great genetics!
Adam is definitely better looking ;) His father at that age was... charismatic. An amazing man (not just musician)

Rick's son, Adam
What is the second keyboarder for?????
Ogni considerazione su RW mi sembra superflua. Vorrei invece spendere qualche nota entusiastica per il batterista. Fantastico.
Cadê o Pular Anúncio ?
Natalie Portman was Anne Boleyn in "the other Boleyn" film, the song was not actually portray her strong self confident.
