I like how Andy and Mike both had mice with backstories. But did Luke and Ellen's mice just both get born in the first square of the board, and stay there forever until Andy and Mike's came along? And what about Jane. Wait... She's totally the cat. Sitting there in the back, waiting for her Luke-warm lunch.
Ever since I was a kid, I'd interpreted "Fat cat; go back to start" as "Start fresh with a new mouse character, as your current one is no longer alive."
Turn the crank of destiny! Andy, Luke, Mike and Ellen enter the deadly mechanical maze that is... MOUSE TRAP! (ages 5 years & up). Enjoy, and let us know in the comments if you want team OX to play any other board games (once our heart rates return to a normal resting pace, that is).
I remember having this game as a child. I remember the pieces slowly disappearing one by one. I remember the mice evacuating overtime and being seen in random places. I remember going through old stuff and finding what was left of the box set (basically the board). However, one thing I don't remember; is actually playing the game #tales from my youth.
Renny Fadz yeah I played it too as a kid, but I don't remember the "add a piece" tiles, instead there were tiles where you get cheese pieces and at the end (it was just a race to the end) whoever had the most cheese pieces won
I kinda have the feeling, that if a mouse gets on an "add a piece" field, they are somewhere visible in real life, so the house owner decides to further build a mouse trap. And please, PLEASE make more videos like this. It is just too funny watching you guys play boardgames :-)
Surprisingly enough this is actually very fun to watch and it is only made better by the fact that the youtube video is interrupted by comercials for alcohol! Great video guys, maybe you should do more like this.
One, two, three, many, many-one, many-two, many-three, many many, many many-one, many many-two, many many-three, many many many, many many many-one, many many many-two, many many many-three, LOTS.

After Luke's reactions to Mouse Trap and worrying about the trap going off early, I think the only way forward is to have the team play Buckaroo! Can you imagine? Luke wouldn't be able to keep his cool lol XD

God this brings back memories. I got this when I was like 6, and my dad and I put the whole thing together. Then we started playing and realized you were supposed to build it as you went. Later on in life we played with the house rule (mouse rule?), once the entire thing is put together, every "Add a piece" equals "Turn Crank". Incidentally, you can modify it so that after it's built every "Add a piece" = "Take a drink" You'll be Mouse Tipsy in no time!

I'm really enjoying this, and I'd love to see a sequel! Also, I always assumed that the mice were constructing the trap themselves, in order to trap each other to feed the cat. Sort of a "I don't need to outrun the hungry aggressive animal, I just need to outrun everyone else" thought process.
just saying that isn't a set from the 90's cause the red piece the ball rolls down was originally a blue color. this was fucking great watching you guys play this game though.... lol

There's an Uno Xbox game where you can play with 7's and 0's having special consequences when played... would make for quite the entertaining thing... for us anyway. And completely uneditted!
Diarmuid allen I *technically* didn't... I had the game, we were just too impatient, so we'd set up the whole trap, and play with army men with it... The board game itself wasn't the best, just the trap
You were the best of us, Luke. The best of us.
It's hard to believe this started the path to DnD

Now we just need to get Smi7y to do a Solitare Funtage.

The stairs were definitely blue in my game, and we collected cheese while building the trap. A bunch of cheese was at the end, but we were stuck going in circles under the basket
The trap also failed 60% of the time, so it was a LOT of playing with it to make sure it stayed put, then wondering if it’d fail or not when someone finally set it off to catch another player 😅
Can we have you guys play UNO? Please!!! Or Monopoly! Actually, just play Twister! So many choices!!!
Also, Andy's Camembert pun may have broken pun-o-meter, I can't brie to hear it again!
Yes, UNO please!!!!!!!
There's an Uno Xbox game where you can play with 7's and 0's having special consequences when played... would make for quite the entertaining thing... for us anyway. And completely uneditted!
I vote Phase 10, but with the three extra made-up phases added! 😁
Sorry Luke, it was for the greater good! How dairy try to take the cheese from us??
This is by far the best time I've had watching an oxtra and oxbox video
8:26
Andy: Is anyone making that face?
Ellen: Making that exact face
I never played this when I was a kid either
Diarmuid allen what kind of childhood you lived in?
Diarmuid allen I *technically* didn't... I had the game, we were just too impatient, so we'd set up the whole trap, and play with army men with it... The board game itself wasn't the best, just the trap
Yeah not going to lie,
I basically did that.
Sorry, thought you meant you never even bought or touched the game at all.
Ellen is super cute.
James Davenport Jane is cuter.
Karan Aujla how and why the fuck do you compare two entirely different people, are you mad?
I mean I'm a dumb American but I'd say that's a massive understatement. Whoever she is with is truly lucky to have such a bubbly and beautiful woman.
Dan Petty Ellen is ickle and cute, Jane is taller and elegantly evil ;)
Luke under the sword of DamoCHEESE. *cough*
Why isn't this top comment
ptonpc Please don't make it difficult for me
This might be the history's world's greatest outside extra video known to MAN!!!!!!!!!
Board games should be a staple in gaming channels!! This was properly exciting at the end!! The suspense!! All the suspense!!!
