This does not aid my Tetris skills at all.
I always preferred the C64 SID tune that accompanied the C64 Tetris Version from 1988 because it's just the opposite of the dreadful Gameboy tune. I remember having to hear that SO many times as a kid because I had to share my copy of Animal Crossing Wild World with my little brother who pretty much never saved the game before turning it off, and once he’d done it enough times to render his own character unplayable, he started using mine, and did the same thing. Eventually my mom got rid of the game and it took years before she let us get it again (this time we got two copies)

The weirdest game music stuck in my head are probably: 1. Final Nitro from Top Gear (SNES) - even done in an amazing (ocremix) remix with genuine race sounds added. That's the kind of music racing games need. Upbeat, fast paced electronic 16-bit Nintendo sounds. 2. Fire Emblem (the main music which stretches over the whole series) - i even went overboard with this one: Played it on a flute, written down the melody in musical notes and then converted it manually into an RTTTL ringtone for a phone at my desk at work. 3. Fire Emblem Three Houses Main Title in English (Reach for my hand, i'll soar away...) or Japanese (which i don't even understand) - the song with lyrics that make less sense that a Magikarp does damage with splash. I even listened to them on my way to work and back - one at a time on infinite loop for the whole hour of driving. Never stray from your path, psychopath.

I made the mistake of making the Tetris theme my ringtone, because I loved the tune so much. And it was fine at the start. But if you're an introvert like me, eventually what happensI is you begin to associate the tune with the feeling of stress you get when someone calls you. Now whenever I hear the Tetris theme, I feel uncomfortable, as if I know I have to talk to someone when I don't want to.

This video has conditioned me well. I started watching and immediately had the desire to play Tetris. And then Jane’s choice came up and it all made sense
The weirdest game music stuck in my head are probably:
1. Final Nitro from Top Gear (SNES) - even done in an amazing (ocremix) remix with genuine race sounds added. That's the kind of music racing games need. Upbeat, fast paced electronic 16-bit Nintendo sounds.
2. Fire Emblem (the main music which stretches over the whole series) - i even went overboard with this one: Played it on a flute, written down the melody in musical notes and then converted it manually into an RTTTL ringtone for a phone at my desk at work.
3. Fire Emblem Three Houses Main Title in English (Reach for my hand, i'll soar away...) or Japanese (which i don't even understand) - the song with lyrics that make less sense that a Magikarp does damage with splash.
I even listened to them on my way to work and back - one at a time on infinite loop for the whole hour of driving. Never stray from your path, psychopath.
After watching this, not only have I had the Tetris theme stuck in my head but somehow I have managed to infect the entire office with the earworm.

And yet, aside from the original game, my first association with the Tetris music is actually relatively new: a brief scene from TeamFourStar’s DBZ Abridged, The Dead Zone Movie. It’s short but hilarious, about 14 minutes in. Trust me.

I surprised that the Phoenix Wright pick for this wasn't the Blue Badger theme. A good friend of mine has that song permanently tattooed on their soul because they kept mis-clicking the one pixel big solution to the puzzle on the screen that loops it.
I know this comment is four months old now but you have awoken the buried memory in me of that a**hole of a puzzle, that made me want to set something on fire. I tried to repress this.

The most infuriating part about the Kaepora Gaebora song is that whenever you hear it, you’re already rolling your eyes because it means you’re talking to the owl.
"That's a weak B-side" is a phrase forever etched in my memory when talking about Tetris tracks.
I haven't seen Ellen this irritated since she went "Full London" when Luke offered her Pepsi.

Not annoying but literally every time I see anything about aperture or hear the word aperture or see an aperture lense, I immediately respond with "Aperture Science, we'll do what we must because we can" and then that part just goes into repeat in my head and I just sigh. Fortunately I don't see that word too much so I don't often go there. But I still went to that part when I read those words.
Back in the day, I listened to that one literally over a thousand times. Mind you, I did have to rip it out of the game first in order to do so, but most of my listening material for a couple of weeks after finishing Portal was Still Alive again and again.

You're crazy! The golden saucer music fits so perfect and I loved every second of it. In fact when I arrived to the golden saucer in FF14 and they had the same music I was elated.
That version (FF14's) does that song justice because it's actually using an orchestra, since as I pointed in out in my reply to myself, how the PS handled music did that theme dirty.

You know the song "The Mickey Mouse March"? Well, there are two instrumental versions of that song in the Kingdom Hearts series. The one in Kingdom Hearts 2 is alright. The one in Birth By Sleep is PURE TORTURE.

I love to use the Gold Saucer theme for Vegas-y locations or faires in rpg sessions. It puts the players into a fittingly sceptic/passive-aggressive mood.

To this day when I'm sitting and thinking about something that music still floats into my head
I made the mistake of making the Tetris theme my ringtone, because I loved the tune so much. And it was fine at the start. But if you're an introvert like me, eventually what happensI is you begin to associate the tune with the feeling of stress you get when someone calls you. Now whenever I hear the Tetris theme, I feel uncomfortable, as if I know I have to talk to someone when I don't want to.
This happens with all my ringtones as well

We had to memorize and play the tetris theme for a pep band event and I have to say the fact that it doesn't have a "real" ending still bothers me while it plays on repeat everyday of my life 😂

I don't really listen to video game music because my parents always wanted it quiet but I always remember this song from one of the old skateboarding games that everytime it played I had to leave the room because it was just so perfectly the opposite of my wavelength and just shook me to the core.

The thing I was most disappointed about with the golden saucer in FF7 was that it looked so wonderful, shiny and bright, and yet there were next to no people there. I expected it to be so full of people everywhere.
