The director has a phisophical foundation and that is humans have instincts which cant be judged by moral ideas or social modesty created by societal rules esoecially against women. The question was asked and left open for interpretations, respecting everyone's culture, faith, and religion.
I'll be watching the movie later this week but I've been listening to and reading the material around it. I love how you phrased that aspect of how suppressing our wants and desires is a lose-lose proposition. And yet, this is what women have been socialised into as the norm. Femininity. Being everything for everyone, but at the cost of ourselves. So this is a good reminder to get off that self-abandonment and self-immolation train and center our needs in all our engagements.
I was disappointed that Nicole couldn't come I have been wanting to meet her for so long and really thought this year was going to be my big opportunity to meet her she's amazing 😍😍😍
well the audience there just saw the movie and these Q&As are for after the movie to give some context and insight for what they have just seen not for people who havent seen it
I saw the movie it was horrible. The moment where she takes her clothes off is cringe. It’s a 60 year old woman taking off her clothes and she is uncomfortable and we the audience are uncomfortable. The script needs to be reworked…it’s horrible.
Wow. You clearly didn’t understand that these aspects were exactly what the director was communicating about women and their bodies and the shame they feel.
@@samanthaweaver4989 I am a woman and I am even the directors age, but I dont understand it at all. I It's 2024, men know what you as a woman look like before you have taken your clothes off, there is tons of imagery on the internet to indicate what we all look like without our clothes. That being said, without the internet biology has also provided us with tons of clues about what men like, all you have to do is look at the individual man( if you understand what I mean), so no I don't understand why a woman is standing there in front of man who clearing has pursued her wondering if he is attracted to her. Clearly, he likes what he sees otherwise he would have lost interest. So, I really didnt understand what the director was communicating about women and their bodies and the shame they feel. All I can say is dont have sex wtih men that make you feel ashamed about your body.
I love this movie and as a submissive it was so refreshing seeing a movie where the power dynamic and the psychological aspect of a new D/s relationship developed. Goed gedaan Halina ❤
No crowd mics? Reijn is a TALENT! Precise yet so open and perceptive, documenting the modern context brilliantly
Love this q & a!! Halina is so eloquent and thoughtful, and I loved hearing her points about how women view their bodies.

Well done!
Why there is no mic. for the people?
I cannot believe the host gave us the ending to the movie.

The younger generation has this figured out? I completely disagree with the moderator’s opinion there and wish I could hear her expand
Por qué susurra al preguntar?
I think the director wants this movie to have some wild discourse surrounding this movie, but it's a little too tame for that.
Surrounding wat
That is relative to individual experiences. Many people have very vanilla experience.
