  • This is the Custom Shop J35 in current production.
    The J35 evolved from the original Jumbo, and preceded the iconic J45. Nicely built - Thermally aged Red Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, hide glue construction, open slot bridge.

    I have a southern jumbo. Just tried one of these. Much more alive, probably due to the torrified top, thinner finish and wider bracing. The SJ might be going.

    I would bet that this is built like my original 1937 J-35, with three unscalloped tone bars under the top. These newer models might not have the V-necks though.

      yea it’s magical. i wish Ian could demo the nathaniel rateliff lg-2 as its the same tonewoods
