I have tried & owned Taylor’s, Martin’s, Eastman’s, Guild’s, and many other brands & I keep coming back to Gibson. I just think they’re so well balanced in tone & the workmanship is unparalleled. I realize you pay more for a Gibson, but I believe it’s worth the price.

Workmanship is unparalleled? I just tried 2 historic model guitars with huge quality control issues. I thought Gibson was suppose to be over the issues after the restructure. Guess not.

J35 is sparkly beautiful while Jumbo 1934 is a stout and bold sounding. I loved J35 from this demo.

I went for a 1936 Advanced Jumbo - power, sensitivity and rosewood reverb. Took a while to get used to the baseball bat neck, but I now prefer it to the 1-11/16” on my 1963 D-28!

The J-35 has this one in my humble opinion. Still like to see/hear a Grand Auditorium battle - Furch/Taylor etc. But still really interesting would be a moderately priced GA (say Furch) v.s. a Kevin Ryan. Can we hear a 10k difference?
