I have the OG and just got the white XL. Cant wait to put it together.
I was leaning towards this but I’m just a creator so I’m thinking the original Evo would do just fine. Not sure if the XL would add any plus to my build. Upright GPU is a seller to me, it’s different.
Does the gpu sit with fans in the upright configuration or solo?
how does the case interact with a 12" wide eatx motherboard, how much does it stand off at the side ??
I really like the case..i hope there will be an option for dark tint version or maybe harbor grey version for this model..not a fan of clear tg…
Will the previous Lian Li XL vertical mount fit this case?
What was the size of the fans used in the video?
Cases do be getting bigger and CHONKIER... ...like next generation's GPUs...
Side note Robey, do you think you might experiment with wearing your merch caps in videos or streams soon?
Hello, this is a bit of a strange question but I was wondering can that front right side panel (the panel with the power button) be removed just like it could be in the original O11D Evo?
Yes, and it can be moved around as well. Not weird. That was a feature 😀
Wish this was compared to the original o11 dynamic xl 😢
Hey...Is there a reason you didn't remove the pillar that seperates the glass panels? It was one the most requested features for the XL after all.
We did in the livestream version of the build.
Can i fit a single 140mm fan on the rear?
Hey, this is most likely a dumb question but I’m going to ask it anyway. Would anyone happen to know if the front and back, or left and right, or the two smaller sides, can be switched so that the glass is on the other side?
You can switch it around yes but it’s more complicated than that. But it is possible
I am building a system with this case. I could have used more focus on connecting the provided case cables. I don't to see this on any videos. Don't even see the cables at all when creators are showing off the case out of the box. Could use at least a little of the psu used and the cables with that, since not all psu's and m/b's have the same connectors. Good video.
Damn, that's one nice looking cage... Makes me choosing one harder again... Which Lian Li case to take????
Btw, what cpu cooler is that?
You can fit 4x120 bottom and top.
In the video you can see that the power supply is located right behind the CPU, won't it overheat?
Nope 😀
Lian Li needs to make a 420 aio next.
Im struggling between this case or the Corsair 5000d. My main concern is that my PSU is 200 mm depth and the cable managment for a 4090 with 4 PCIe. Any recomendations ?
dynamic xl evo has all the space you need
lian li ftw
I have 20 cm psu in the evo xl. There is plenty of space for cables
I really hate the fact that you have to use a 120mm fan in the back in a "all 140mm case" also everyone is waiting for the vision version
this one design choice confuses me too
@@jaded265 Also we have regular evo and vision for 120mm fans, why we need 120mm mounting systems that partially block the air from the 140mm fans?
So many variations the 011 has lost all meaning.
Move on.
I'm assuming because the PSU and drive bays are directly behind the motherboard , it's too tight to fit a 140 there which really sucks because I refuse to run a single 120 .
nice
Weird opening, only insofar as that "but does it earn EVO in the name" stuff - there is a non-XL version of this, so yes, a larger version that actually dares to support 3x140 rads three (and possible 4 in the future) times over is all one needs for the XL label. IMO
Bit dumb question but were all the fans you used 120?
You can do 120 or 140
If this case will come with mesh front panel will be best of the best.
I personally don't like so much glass 😢😢
Lianli is selling a mesh front panel with 120/140mm fan support
Front mesh panel option, does anyone know if it has one like the 011 evo?
They will be releasing one yes
I spent the whole review wondering why you would ever lay this case on its back during the build process.
The motherboard tray is removable.
Only downside I see is the 120mm rear fan when everything else is 140mm.
I’d probably run without a rear exhaust and just used positive pressure.
Now where is the vision version.
thank you for the video . can i mount two 3090 gpu air cooled in horizontal configuration.
Yes but they are going to be tight!
@@RobeytechLive thank you so much
I’m an O11 owner had the case since it first launched. I’m torn between going with the O11 evo XL or the NV9 or even the 7..
The EVO XL is leagues better than the NV7/9 and the blatant clone H9. I couldn't keep waiting so did my current AM5 custom dual loop build in the 011 XL.
@@GSP-76mind saying how so? I'm debating between evo xl and nv9
@@pertown Trust me, the EVO XL is better...but it does depend on what type of system you want to build. What do you want to do with your's?? The new EVO XL supports three 420mm rads and nine 140mm fans!! Not only that but each of those 420mm rads can be 60mm thick...I can't think of another case on the market that can do this. The other cases are nere wannabes as they've always been.
Please note Lian Li has an active copyright lawsuit against clone companies...and I support them 100%. But original, not knockoffs.
@@GSP-76 the NV9 will also support 140mm fans, 11 of em. I am planning to get a 4090 with an 13900k. Was just wondering what else I could have missed in my research between the 2 cases
@@pertown i have actually the Corsair 1000d big Tower but its to big now for keep that case over the table....iam between nv7-9 or the new xl evo...same config with 4090 and 13900k and 420 aio cooler cant choice 😅🤔
can you have 4 120mm fans at the top back and bottom ?
No
Yes you can
How many 3,5 drives can i put in?
Total 4 in the drives cages
can it fit a 420 mm aio on the top ?
Yes. It’s 420 across the board except the back
Four USB ports just like Corsair 7000D Airflow
The problem with these reviews is that they never talk about AIO or fans orientation. Skips that part straight to temps comparison. Luckly i found other reviewers who TOOK tike to explain what orientation was used and why.
Can You putt the link pls? A want to Buy this case
Hmm, I just compared the measurements to my Corsair 5000D / 5000X, and they really aren't that much different.
20.5x11.9x20.5 for the Lian Li
21.0x9.5x20.0 for Corsair 5000
The Lian Li seems to need more width for it's weird power supply placement right behind the CPU, but then I guess that's more extra space for cable management and drives? But the Corsair is built like a steel tank. I've got glass all the way around on mine except the bottom and the back.
I can warn anyone thinking of building in an aquarium style case like this, all that glass adds a ton of weight. And I mean a ton. My 5000X is like a boat anchor.
In retrospect, I wish I had built in a 7000D/X just for more clearance around the edges of the motherboard. Now that it's built, it doesn't matter, but it would be nice to have a verically mounted GPU so you could get at your nvme slots without taking the GPU in and out. But it just looks like the Lian Li moves all that crowded stuff to another place, namely the drive bays and PSU. You're going to have cables all jammed up in that area. On the Corsair, they are all jammed up in the back bottom and up the middle. You can forget all those cable management aids with both of them... they really aren't a whole lot of help at all.
He's not joking about cable spagetti.
All that RGB nonsense adds a ton of extra cables.
You'll make all your management nice and pretty, and then some little controlbox don't work, or cable is wrong, and just to diagnose it and get it all working close to right you'll tear up all that nice cable management you did, and in the end just shove it in there and close the back cover. And your thoughts will be... It works. Nobody will see it. That's good enough for me. When I got to deal with it later to upgrade a harddrive or something else, then I'll deal with this nightmare again.
Yep, I built in the Evo 1 last year thinking there was plenty of room for cable management. I never put the back cover on due to 11 fans, splitters, cable ext and a corsair commander. It runs great though.
Width is "only" 304 mm, not 340.
YYAAA
By the time you buy this, the brackets, riser, and all the fans, this thing becomes like $800 lol
It’s for pretty high end builds!
@@RobeytechLive I guess the cool thing is if you do buy it, it will be useful for many many years.
Build montage
Build experience
Why aren't you and the build in the same shot? 😂😂😂😂
Why are we comparing GPU temps on some cases and CPU temps on others on the same graph? What do I as the viewer understand on that? Consistency is somewhere I guess
Dude it's not OH ONE ONE it's OH ELEVEN !!!!
You’re right. Like the name oh one one better that I let my biased in through the video. The correct name is o11.
I like how people complain to lian and they listen. When they release a new product they addressed our concerns. Now we are complaining about what we asked for… hmmm
