these kind of water-cooling focused case reviews are unique and super helpful for anyone who wants to build a custom loop...thanks!
No problem. Shame nobody else covers this type of content

best, most informative pc case reviews I ve seen so far! exactly the detailed information I was looking for! no bs style-over-substance babbling like in many yt channels, and yet this one is waaaaaay more fun to watch. helped me a lot on my purchase decission. thanks.
Awesome review, not boring at all. This is the type of detailed review us DIYer’s dream of. I kept having questions as I watched, but you ended up answering them all by the end. Thanks!
Thank you!
I appreciate all the detail you provide in your chassis reviews. There's no need to watch another one because you've already covered everything in FULL detail. We also get to see arguably the sickest build in that chassis towards the end of the video as an added bonus!
Thank you
Thanks so much for the in-depth measurements and thorough watercooling support review. I glossed over a lot of the measurements for now, but will use this as a reference in the coming weeks when putting together parts.
Flabergasted by the quality of this review. Tons of details yet straight to the point. The meaningful information density is awesome.
Thanks for your efforts. Highly appreciated!
Thank you very much!
One hell of a beautiful case. So many options to watercool in. Never seen a case with so many grommets.
Awesome coverage. Thank you.
I'm finishing our company's new server in your white GGF Edition V3000.
SO many features.
your commentary and content in this review is exactly the kind of information i was looking for, and so now ordering this case...thanks
I cant wait to get one of these. having the amount of space and future proof in one case is one of the biggest things for me. Also knowing that the aesthetics of the case is good too makes this case god tier for everything you need.
The engineering and decision making that goes into these cases must be insane, especially given that you can invert the whole thing!! Pretty mind blowing
Awesome job GGF. Great to have witnessed your journey from Computex to Review of this case. Thumbs Up.
I didn’t fall asleep!! Thanks for putting so much work into this review. I’ll be sharing it a ton when folks have questions on discord:)
Thank you!
By far! ...the best review of the Liam Li EVO XL I've seen on YT!
Beautiful build and great detail on the case too! Always on point! 💯
This was extremely comprehensive, 10/10 Overview of this case
The only thing that I would have changed is the fan support.
The case supports 9x140 but only a 120 on the rear.
Maybe is only my OCD, but at this point a rear 140 would have been visually better in my opinion.
You're supposed to have intake bottom, and exhausting air on top.
But yeah, it's an enthusiast case, it should have 140mm on all fan mount.
Great review, very informative. The inability to customize the PSU and HDD cage location in the rear chamber is rather disappointing, but nearly everything else looks very well designed.
Thanks for such a thorough review! It was a great watch, very informative :)
I LOVE the review part, really detailed with amazing usecases, top work man!
Thank you
Incredible review, was really helpful to see in a very practical way "how much radiator" this case can really fit. 3x420s is supported on paper wasn't sure it could actually be done!
Thank you
Very nice review. You really showed everything I asked my self about this case. Thanks
As always Awesome build and great review. WIll order 2 of these now
I didn't understand half the things you said because I'm a noob that's too scared to watercolor, but it was a great in depth video. always love watching your videos! thank you!
You will never have to apologize to me for long videos, every minute you take to point out your opinions is probably saving us regular folks time & money. Thanks for what you do!
Thank you
Very informative review for this case and an awesome build with it too!
Question: I got an idea for a black and white custom loop build, which the quick scene at 12:51 only reinforced :)
This specific Lian Li O11D Evo XL case but in Black variant, black mobo, black rads - those form the "foundation".
Then every other "secondary" piece connected to them , come in white or acrylic:
- white fans all around, like Lian LI Infinity 140mm ARGB fans,
- white or acrylic CPU block
- graphics card with an all acrylic block and active back plate,
- white RAM sticks,
- white tube fittings,
- trans-lucid satin tubes,
- clear liquid or that milky mystic fog liquid from EK.
- acrilic distro plate or flat pump+reservoir combo.
- white or black+white custom cables.
They will all stand out, pop, against the black background, especially with properly chosen LED lighting for the fans.
Any chance you can do a similar build like this in the near future?
With whatever components and case you can use, just to follow the same basic idea.
I know it's a big ask but, aside from being incredibly useful to me and anyone else that fancies the B&W idea, it may end up being a cool and somewhat rare build to show off.
Thank you!
I've always bought Fractal cases but I bought a Lian Li IIO Dynamic EVO last year and it is incredible.
Fantastic video and review. Very exhaustive. You've gained a new subscriber!
I have the ASUS WRX80 Sage Wifi.
No one talks about it. So it’s super hard to shop for cases.
You have answered all my questions! And earned my subscription!
Thank you
Good to know Lian Li was willing to make sure of quality and customer experience before going forward.
Arguably the best front I/O on any case right now. I know you can bump up the standard EVO with an optional module to 4 type A's and that's prob what I would do since the XL is more than I need.
Not personally a fan of "fish tank" cases, but wow that's a nice looking case! Lian Li keeps knocking it out of the park.
On that chamfered corner, could just paint the edge white. Might still look slightly strange, but at least it wouldn't be blue/green.
Edit: Well, using blue/green lighting and fluid definitely was a creative way to take attention away from that glass edge! Genius!
Would have been nice to have an option for icydock type hot swap drive bays where they had the hard drive bays,, seems they could have just flipped them around to 180 degrees.. that being said this case does have some nice details .. ( Thanks for all the time spent on this video )
Great video. Lots of information gives me an idea of whether or not to upgrade my current regular size o11d lol
Somehow I just found you and your builds/reviews, but goodness... BRILLIANT! I hope you could indulge me on just a couple of technical questions.
1. Do you find a cooling performance different with systems this powerful in a 2 vs 3 radiator setup, or is it just how you like to fill up the volume of the case?
2. Is there a reason you didn't use a 360 size radiator on the side so you didn't have to fiddle with a custom convert bracket?
3. I am having difficulty understanding the tube routing for that 3rd/side radiator. How did you do that?
4. What is the purpose of the soft tubing run that goes into the back side of the case? Where does that come from and go to and why?
5. Where have you situated the drain? Does it drain well?
6. In the past I have had terrible experience with dyed/colored coolant. Have you found that the newer formulas are more forgiving and easier to clean?
Thank you SO MUCH for this review and build! You have given me so many ideas to work with.
This is a very very good build. I just built mine with this case in black.
I am diggin the phat alphacool pump res combos in your recent videos!
Thank you for this informative video. I would appreciate any additional comments from you or from viewers on using this case with the ASUS W790E SAGE SE motherboard. I am pleased you showed one in the case in this video, but I am uncertain as to the impact of being unable to secure the right edge of the board. I currently have a CEB sized board in the older XL model of this case. At the time I purchased that, Lian Li also offered an optional accessory to support full SSI-EEB motherboards in the original XL case. It looks like they are not doing that with this case. It's a shame as I think the W790E board has a real following and case options are limited.
I had the normal one and also the XL and Im now proud owner of de 3000 plus case.
But I do still love those Dynamic cases, they are only to small for me now :P
Holy case... This one is really beautiful and amazing case. Vertical GPU looks very good
fell in love with the build ...my dream cpu
Flawless review as usual Stuart! On a totally unrelated note I've watched your V3000+ review so many times I almost know it by heart, it's probably gonna replace my 1000D as it seems to have a much better space management and customizability! :D
Thank you. Oh that's awesome. Any questions let me know. Good luck!
Great in depth review, my o11 xl might be due a replacement!
Question: What fluid did you use in the white lian li build?
I’ve been looking for a case to upgrade from my 5000d, this case looks awesome!
upright mount the strix is so cool, look forward for a white upright build. Guess most pp looking forward this case is for upright mount the 40series gpu
Awesome case and thanks for all the info. I’m hearing that Lian LI won’t be making a mesh kit for the front & that is a deal breaker for me.
Great review! Hard work but dam, it shows. Also LianLi really nailing the design - She's a beauty
The white looks stunning, great review as always
The next great review and nice build. Thank you.👍
Wow, thats like having a 420 MORA inside a case. Nuts
Hello, hope you are well, Amazing review, thanks, I was looking for that before buying the Lian Li evo XL. the only issue is about the rear fan, why dont they put a 140 mm fan ? But everything else is awesome.
Very informative video! Thank you! :)
That build though! Goodness😍
Great job. Thanks for this advisor.
Awesome review, thank you!
Awesome build. I have been trying to figure out which mount you used for the Alphacool Rise Flat. Those white studs are throwing me off. What did you go with here.
Love your chassi reviews, keep it up, you rox ❤
Hi, thanks for the video. Since your radiator is 468mm and the space is 464mm, you use the fan trick to put it outside of the "frame". What would be the clearance if fully outside of that frame in mm? Asking because I have a 420 surface cross flow that' 479mm. I'm alsow wondering if this would fit top/bottom. Thanks a lot !
amazing review. awesome build
Great work! Love that THICC radiator!(of the last build)
Does it have a big temp difference compared with the thin one?
Great video. Is there enough room for a 420 AIO rad in the top position with two two 120ml rear fans or is it better with a 360 rad?
Was looking to replicate this color of coolant. Noticed you mentioned the blue and green Thermaltake dyes but what were the measurements you used when mixing, with I'm assuming Thermaltake's pure clear coolant?
i wish i knew about this coming out before i bought my corsair 5000D case, this case looks so much nicer to build in for water cooled builds.
Love the build!
Much appreciated S!!!!
Great job, great idea and execution.👍😁🍺
Thank you
Thank you so much for this video 😁👌
Do you know if there is a vertical GPU bracket for it and when yes how do I install it, because there are no screws or holes.
I bought this one Lian-Li VG4-4W Universal 4-slots Vertical GPU PCI-E 4.0 riser - White and it should work but I don't understand how to install it.
As always, perfect review, fantastic ❤ Pls, is there a choice of front mesh panel/kit? Same as on LianLi o11 Dynamic Evo? Have Dynamic Evo with mesh (and many external and internal radiators :) ) and its great choise... so its mandatory for me to have a mesh kit with dynamic evo XL, its perfect choise... thank you very much for response 😊 BB
Where did you mention about the GPU being difficult to remove e and Lian Li response?
hmm, wonder if some silver auto pin strip or any color for that matter would cover the edge of the glass and look okay if a person wanted to change the color scheme.
We need amazing build in the case
Man, you nailed this! Thanks : )
Thank you!
I'm getting ready for a full upgrade, but wanted to know how much clearance is there between the vertical mounted GPU and MB @ 19:50 mark?
Would the Asus Crosshair Impact Daughterboard have enough space to fit in between, or am i looking at inserting the GPU in it's traditional position? Currently using a 3080FE with EK FE block
Would a distro plate like the EK quantum reflection work with this? What plate would you recommend? thanks awesome vid!
cool review, Man! What's about external radiator Mo-Ra3 with Evo XL ?
dude your awesome for making videos like this
Thank you for the kind words
What is the BEAT playing on 26.05 sec? Impresiv case and modes.
@GGFEvents Question: First time water loop builder, but intermediate pc builder here. I wanted to get this water loop, but the pump is nowhere to be seen except at Alphacool across the pond from me in the States. Is there a different pump to put in its place or must I wait near 5-7 weeks to get this pump for this setup from Alphacool themselves?
No comparisons to the original o11 XL??? Please can you do a comparison of these. I have the original xl and there are shortcomings, especially the ventilation holes which are more metal then hole. Is this worth the upgrade or look outside of lianli??
Nice, time to upgrade my case.
Do you have a link for the gpu cable you referenced?
exelent review once again! whats the fluids name? cant find it anywhere!
Thanks for the very informative video on this crazy case))
I own today the first O11 that came back in a days, the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Black, and i like a lot this case, but i found myself that i will build for myself completely new system in this year (2024), i think when 15 gen intel cpu will come out.
And i am starting to think now what and how i will be happy to see in my future new build, and the picture is starting to show in my head...
I do not want to deal with custom water cooling, but i do want AIO like i did for the last 8 years, but in new system i want the 420mm instead of 360mm something like the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420 with the big radiator (38mm) and push-pull config.
As well i want to see in my future build 140mm fans all over the case instead of 120mm, and i want to see that i will able to install in the clasic way (horizontal) my giant RTX 4090 in the new case that will allow to do that without any tricks, like in the clasic O11 Dynamic i was needed to do, with some adapters and such, because the side glass panel just can not be closed...
So i don't know, maybe i'm a bit crazy, but i think that for my future new build, i will buy this O11 EVO XL Case, and yes, this will be for most some standard build, just with 420 AIO with 100mm thickness (30mm fans, 40mm rad. and again 30mm fans, again - Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420), giant RTX 4090 installed horizontally as i like, and all other case fans are 140mm instead of 120mm.
So how do you think, build like this can justify the purchase of this Lian Li O11 EVO XL?
What diameter of 15 mm thick fans can be installed to cool a hard drive?
Sorry can anyone confirm if the anti sag bracket comes with or is it brought separately. Many thanks
Hallo darf ich frage wie lang die hardtubs sind bei dem System mit dem abgebildetes System
yeah finally some stuff is coming ^^ but sadly that update...is just a bit on the minor side, few cm here and there and update fan size form 120 ->140mm (talking its about time) but i dont see really that "big" update
Interesting as I have the black version and have no groove on the top or bottom to remove the back panel.
I have watched this several times yet I remain unclear of two dimensions on the vertical space for radiators. What is the depth of the reversible mount? If I push with a 1" / 25mm fan, will a 420 radiator clear the inner lip of the case. I understand the clearance at top and bottom. But I am thinking of chassis punching a hole under the drain on the radiator so that I can remove the dust screen to access it from outside the case. I don't think push-pull are functionally more productive especially since it will cost another inch. Yes the static pressure is greater as you increase the depth of the radiator, however, 10fpi is not a high loss configuration. 18 or 12fpi are more efficient but also have more drop. For extremely thick radiators, push-pull can make more difference -- and yet, you lose an inch (and the volume of water that goes with it). To go along with a deep rad, it may block removal of the trays. For me, I think that's less of an issue as I have never had a case with removable trays. I could be underestimating it however.
No front mesh with 3 fans in front?
Grat Video! Love all the details! What is the color you chose for the coolant?
Thank you. Mixed blue and green thermaltake dye
27:04 🤩Amazing build.
What color white did you use ? because the Lian Li case itself isnt really white, but more bleu-grey. So maybe you can tell us. :D
what a coolers on top and bottom? pls i want to know
The perfect case doesnt exist... @.@
What a awesome build. On my opinion, I think the oversized radiator take much space from clear view about the "all", and its fun how every 4090 blocked look as a baby gpu, i prefer the "old horizontal bracket style" fliped with a that way you can see by the window the beatifull acrylic job on the block, otherside the AC pump/reservoir is wonderfull, maybe on the future a distroplate frontal or change by the "3rd" radiator byside. Congratz to you for a brilliant review and build, and LIAN Li for the amazing effort on this case.
I wish you would show a vertical mount guide
Having a hard time deciding between this and the V3000+. :(
I wish there was something in-between with 480 rad support. Rough decision.
Leaning toward the V3000+, it's super sized. :)
Seeing 3x Monsta installed together is so wild😂
someone had both version black and white and can tell me which one looks better ?
