The form factor alone takes me back to old old Skunkworks. I'd love to see you do a build in this, especially your personal build. Hardline tubing and all that goodness *.*
Do your personal build in that case with everything you can throw at it, and film the whole process, and release the videos step by step until the build is finished, that should give hours of content and I'm quite sure we would all love to see that here
I think it’s fair to say that all of us that have been watching you for so long, want to see you do your personal build in this. Skunkworks was the whole reason I wanted to do custom water loops in the first place and why I now can’t build without a custom loop.
I would love to see a "Maximum Absurdity" style build in this Behemoth. Just the largest most insane components possible lol You could probably mount a dang house box fan to cool it
new epyc 9000 or at least threadripper pro 5995WX and 2 gpus (just mgpu support, no need for sli) plus intel arc for encode possibly on that second board
I remember building in the V2000 many years ago. That was THE case, although it had zero wire management, the build quality was second to none. I would love to build in a 343 or the 777 anniversary just for the nostalgia.
I love it! It's crazy ridiculous overkill, but yes please do a build in it. As for the option to build a second system in the case I could see someone using it to house both their main PC, and a NAS server.
A new Lian-Li case ? Ok now this I'm pumped for, always great to see what they come up with. I don't think it's an understatement, to say they're arguably and in my opinion the best case makers on the market right now, in terms of quality, look and ease of use to build in. P.S yes, you gotta do a build in this case
Jay, if you build in this case I think it would be awesome to have it look like the old “pipe” screen savers with crazy perpendicular runs. I know how hard that is but it would be such a cool idea.
That case is a beast! I designed a server off a Lian-Li case I was going to design my new home system after it. But now I might change everything after this. Thank you Jay!
Great case. Looking at Lian Li's website, you should be able to rotate the motherboard tray, effectively putting the GPU vertically mid case and have another radiator space in the back for a 360 or 420. Love it.
Jay's reaction to the Phanteks Enthoo 719 is the sole reason why I bought that particular case. His reaction to how amazing the water cooling potential is and how he called it "a water coolers dream" Jay had me sold haha
That looks like a good spiritual successor to the old Skunkworks case. I know you want to redo the old Threadripper build in its case, but if Intel ever released a new HEDT platform this might be the case to do it in
Jay I feel I speak for everyone when I say this. Please do a big build in this case. I need to see a build in this case. I’ve been wanting to see you build in the Corsair 1000D for a while now but I really wanna see a build in this case. The possibilities in this case are endless with this one
i just really appreciate and adore the level of goofy and sillyness of jay and phil while also combining it with professionalism and knowledge for what you guys do, its just amaizing , i had such loud outburst of laughs in this video i cant even describe it , awesome video you guys!
Having completed multiple large builds with complicated loops… External rad with quick disconnects is 100% the way to go. Easier to service, maintain, and you don’t heatsoak the inside of the case.
Lian-Li was THE dream case like 20 years ago, they where some of the first premium cases to be found world-wide, I remember just dreaming about a Lian-Li ALU case back in 2001-2002 :)
A couple of ideas for builds: 1) “ALL the water cooling” 2) “A reasonably extreme gaming & streaming build” 3) “My entire living family tree gets a new pc in one case” 4) “The ULTIMATE super sff pc plus an efficiency apartment for Phil in one case” 5) “Air cooling is SO easy” 6) “I built an every purpose PC/Vending machine”
This is my biggest problem with my Corsair 1000D... there's only one guy who makes extensions for corsair fans with RGB on ebay and they're pricy. I needed something ridiculous like 400.00 in just extensions so that I could cable manage everything "cleanly". I just can't bring myself to do it, it feels too over priced.
jay you absolutely need to do a build in this case. i got mine a few weeks ago and love it so much. its my forever case. i hope to see more of this case on your channel. happy building
From what I see in the official video by Lian Li, this case like the upcoming O11 EVO XL has a fully removable motherboard tray. With the Phanteks D140 distro plate on the rear fan position that would make plumbing the CPU and GPU tube runs an absolute breeze.
How is it a great sense of humor? It's point is so people could have a second functuonal small format build in it. Some people use the dual system for streaming, some use on system for productivity and the other for gaming while the other is working on whatever its doing without affecting either rigs performance
I've got an 011 XL and I agree that it's overused, but it looks so clean. It's also a dream to build in and being able to fit 3 360mm rads is nice. I'm hoping Lian Li releases an "evo" version of it soon.
I also have one, but I didn't at all enjoy building in it because of cable management. Those HDD cages in the back just get in the way, and I found it a chore to fit everything in that little gap between the side radiator and the HDD cages. I ended up switching to a Phanteks Eclipse P600S so I could use 140mm fans and it was so much more enjoyable to build in.
I bet you LianLi would be more than willing to send you a set of custom long length cables for their fans so you can use the fans in this case. EDIT: I would love to see a build in this case just for the fact that I wanna see how amazingly clean the cable management would be with 12+ lianli fans running off a single controller.
Back in around 2001, I got the Lian-Li cube case (probably nobody knows what that is). It was meant for servers, and was basically double the width of a standard ATX case (and held 2 power supplies). It was perfect for the experimental water cooling of the time, I mounted my pump, reservoir, second PSU (for peltiers), and radiator on one half, and the PC components on the other. And yeah, it was heavy…. I really wish I still had it. Never thought Lian-Li would be well known after all these years, it was totally unknown back then.
The O11 is definitely over-used, because it's awesome. I got two in my living room right now. Wouldn't dream of building in anything else, unless I fell into a pit of money and could go for a four rad watercooled system, just for the heck of it. Lian Li is killing it with the fans, the AiO, the cases, the strimers and even the software.
I wanted one of these the moment I saw it! I've been wanting a dual system case for ages and none of them got me as excited as this beast. I currently have two cases (O11D XL & O11D Mini) on my desk.
I appreciate the video, but I kinda wish you read the manual first. There are 3-5 different configurations or options that weren't mentioned at all. For a $500 case, I think the intricacies should be showcased. For instance, did you know you can install 2 200mm fans at the top? Or even run vertical GPU for the main system while still having the option for the itx system below the PCIe slots.
This has to be the first case ive seen in ages where I have genuinely wanted one at first sight, its awesome bring back monster pc cases, I pride myself on having a pc that realistically shouldn't be moved by one person.
PLEASE do a build with this case for us to see. A build for this case will take planning and it's going to need to be something special. So no pressure. lol
That is a beast of a case. Be very aware of its size and weight. Especially when you have finished building your system. Wherever you put this case, it stays there. It's weight will be insane.
Now that Caselabs is dead, thhat is the closest thing to it, I think. The Caselabs is now back and promise the comeback, but I doubt the build quality will be the same.
Between you and Steve I want to rebuild my pc in a million different cases but I keep finding banger oldies like the obsidian 550d my pc is currently in, and the inWin 303 I just picked up that I'll be transplanting too once I get a 360mm aio in
Please, please please PLEASE build in this! I'm desperate for another "maximum overkill" build from you where you film the entire process. I would literally pay money for that video series.
As a (VERY) small streamer and *ahem* old computer builder, part of me wants to build in a case like that. My current case is antique, I can't even remember the model I just know it's an Antec from 1999. I love it, you'll pry it out of my hands when I'm finally forced to outgrow it, not due to size since it is a full tower case, but it doesn't have cooling options to keep up with any current graphics card. I'm running an i7-8700 and an nVidia 1070 and it stays cool even under full load; I can only imagine how much stuff you could cram in to a case like that and still be able to keep it cool.
I - and many of my friends who are your same age - watch your channel for a variety of reasons. This case and why you should build in it is the reason we do so. Please make some cool content for us and just do the damn thing. Go all out. We will watch!
Hey Jay, what does the case weigh, if I may ask? So far, I was under the impression that this is a mainly aluminum case (hence the price) and, like the Caselabs SMA-8, is far lighter than other equally-sized cases (e.g. Phanteks Elite: 73 lbs / 33 kg vs. SMA-8: 27 lbs / 12.2 kg ! ). Another question regards 560 mm rads: Can you confirm, these fit? On the Lian-Li website, it says 3x 480/420 + 1x 360. Thanks in advance!
oh yeah, I was also having doubts about the mentioned 560 rads. I think the max is 480, that's what the manual says. I'm not hating, but come on, doing a review and stating something without checking it yourself - is annoying
Loved to see the announcement for this monster of a case. Seeing this "in person" kinda just upped the excitement for it. Only gripe are the fan mounts... Did they really need to put THAT many different options for mounts on there and essentially block like 50% of the fans airflow? Makes you wonder about the noise too...
YES! Please build in this case. Also what would be cool is make a full game room box. Beast pc with a ps5, Xbox series x and switch all in one case. You for sure have the room to make that work
"My God! It's full of stars" que the 2001 A space odyssey music. We even had a few monkeys (Thanks Jay and Phil) using the monolith as a drum early in the clip. Hell yes! We want to see a build.
i just ordered my V3000 Plus because of this video! I was a huge Corsair 7000D fan boy for the last 4 years or so, and contemplated the 1000D But This review really showed me how similar this case is to the SMA8. The amount of radiators i plan on putting in this thing is going to be ridiculous lol Amazing video Jay and Team!
I must say I am upset I didn't see this case sooner. I JUST finished my build in an O11 Dynamic because it was the only case I could find that has space for my chonky as heck dual 360 rads. Now I find out there's a case that I could have super beefed up my cooling for even more insane over clocks.
this thing has 3 features ive been looking at this case for weeks now and they are as follow: regular, dual system, and rotated. Hes already talked about the first 2, but the last one is you can rotate the motherboard tray 90 degrees counterclockwise. build it in all three aspects please.
Those multiple buttons on the top are split for the 2 systems. One can be power/reset for main, the other for the 2nd system, which is why you have 2 headphone jacks and other usb ports. The vertical GPU mount can be put in the bottom area. You missed a lot of tool-less removable features like the 2x bottom trays from the main area, top fan/rad mount and front fan/rad mount. The entire main motherboard area can be removed/rotated. A 58mm thick 480mm radiator with push/pull fans installed at the front, top, and a 480mm at the bottom of the main area can be installed without anything else changed. Then you can get a 480mm 58mm thick rad in the bottom compartment. 24 fans, 4x 480mm radiators, and a reservoir can be mounted easily in a single system.
Love the irony of calling out the o11 dynamic as overused then having it be the case that is searched for in the Micro Center ad less than a minute later.
Man that's gotta be at least as big as my SMA-8. Loved the builds you did with that, Jay, so had to get one. So many options with this case though! Great review.
I'm guessing you've already made up your mind about using this case for your personal build. You mentioned that you could use two pumps in it since it's so huge and I think it's a great idea. I think you should create two separate loops - one for the CPU and one for the GPU. I'm guessing you're gonna use AMD CPU and nVidia GPU in your build, which means team red and team green. So, how about red loop for the CPU and green loop for the GPU?
Almost didn't watch this as I normally skip case reviews. Luckily I ran out of other videos so I clicked. I heard V3000 and was like oooooohhhhh. I have a V2000 and didn't think I'd ever replace it. I always planned on putting a second system for games servers, plex etc in there. Now theres a new case with modern support :D
One advantage to a dual-system here, is that since case would be difficult to steel, then you have two safe computers to use without worry of the thief taking it.
jay just build cool waterstuff , every idea that you have just do it ! :) you can reuse the hardware, and we and you can learn from it its been sooooo long since we have seen some custom watercooling
I think Lian Li is coming out with fan group extension cables for the SL120 V2 fans! I see some on AliExpress. I do not see them on Lian Li website yet though. I did read somewhere that they are coming though due to the large amount of feedback advising cables are too short for high-end builds. Lian Li is pretty responsive to the fanbase! C'Mon Jay, you KNOW you want to do your next ultimate build in this case...and we WANT to see it!
I’ve purchased 3 Lian Li cases, the O11 Air mini, the Dan A4, and the A4 H2O. All have been very well manufactured and designed, but for this case, it feels like an oversight to have the side fan mounts to just blow into the side panel without any intake/exhaust, unless if you’re using it just as a reservoir
I was able to snag this thing for around $240 bucks during black Friday week and I cannot wait to make a custom loop in this thing. Planning on doing three 480 rads but now I need to decide if i'm going to do a dual loop setup & if I'll still use black petg tubing OR if this is the time I maybe go the copper tube route and maybe paint them black. So many choices with this behemoth of a case
This would be a throw back to the beginning… I hope you build in this but you build with a new threadripper system!! It would be an awesome thing to see!! And the water cooling runs and lighting would be incredible!!
You can also turn the mother board tray around and mount it in different ways. I like the face down look in this case, that’s why the grommet is besides the psu
Jay, I think I speak for most when I say that we need a massive build video in this case. ALL THE FANS!
i was waiting him the whole video to build it
And in less than 2 videos in less than 3 months
> Biggest home desktop case in the world.
> Still no 5.25" drive bays.
0/10
How about as many fans as he can fit, consistent with the system being usable for ordinary people?
I would love for this to be the next skunkworks
The form factor alone takes me back to old old Skunkworks. I'd love to see you do a build in this, especially your personal build. Hardline tubing and all that goodness *.*
Do your personal build in that case with everything you can throw at it, and film the whole process, and release the videos step by step until the build is finished, that should give hours of content and I'm quite sure we would all love to see that here
I don't think it would be hours of content, but if he stretched it, then probably a couple hours could be done.
Yes
Project done by 2026!
I wish more seeing his personal rig finished... But yup, build a cool PC in those massive case will be interessting.
Completely agree with your comment
I think it’s fair to say that all of us that have been watching you for so long, want to see you do your personal build in this. Skunkworks was the whole reason I wanted to do custom water loops in the first place and why I now can’t build without a custom loop.
Yup. This thing has Skunkworks written all over it. We need that build
I swear to God a compilation of only Phil's laughs, wheezes, and actual deaths by laughter would be an hour long.
Can we get an upload of that compilation? 😆
+1 for the compilation 😂
Yes. Please.
Be prepared for more than an hour when some crazy dude makes a compilation. Props for this crazy dude 🤣
I think Phil has a lot more than 9 lives for all the times he died in the background.
Lian-Li really is leaving a big mark on 2022 cases wise, holy moly! 😲
Target clearly on the corsair 1000d that's aiming high lol

Check out YT channel 'Bro Cooling' with their V3000+ pc build its just 1 month ago video. Its the best existing build yet
All the rads
Don't give him weird ideas, Linus already lost a carrot to an industrial fan xD
I remember building in the V2000 many years ago. That was THE case, although it had zero wire management, the build quality was second to none. I would love to build in a 343 or the 777 anniversary just for the nostalgia.
I love it! It's crazy ridiculous overkill, but yes please do a build in it. As for the option to build a second system in the case I could see someone using it to house both their main PC, and a NAS server.

I love when Jay's genuinely excited about a product review. You can almost imagine his tail wagging back and forth as he talks about the rad space lol
Jay's reaction to the Phanteks Enthoo 719 is the sole reason why I bought that particular case. His reaction to how amazing the water cooling potential is and how he called it "a water coolers dream"

This should go in a no compromise watercooling build video or series. I’m in love with it!!!

i just really appreciate and adore the level of goofy and sillyness of jay and phil while also combining it with professionalism and knowledge for what you guys do, its just amaizing , i had such loud outburst of laughs in this video i cant even describe it , awesome video you guys!

A couple of ideas for builds:
1) “ALL the water cooling”
2) “A reasonably extreme gaming & streaming build”
3) “My entire living family tree gets a new pc in one case”
4) “The ULTIMATE super sff pc plus an efficiency apartment for Phil in one case”

Build it to the max. I am 59 and just recently built my first PC and used a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL with a 360 AIO and 10 fans. Love Lian Li
From what I see in the official video by Lian Li, this case like the upcoming O11 EVO XL has a fully removable motherboard tray. With the Phanteks D140 distro plate on the rear fan position that would make plumbing the CPU and GPU tube runs an absolute breeze.

@@odhinn9 I don’t think the XL is overused, only the original O11 Dynamic.
Well, the o11 is cool but also boring.. since i went for the enthoo 719 / pro, i'm so happy using 2x 480, 2x 360mm radiators!
@praetorxyn I took those out first thing. I could definitely see how they would get in the way though!

oh yeah, I was also having doubts about the mentioned 560 rads.
You for sure have the room to make that work
As an owner of the older v3000 case, I love some of the improvements they made in the v3000+
"My God! It's full of stars" que the 2001 A space odyssey music. We even had a few monkeys (Thanks Jay and Phil) using the monolith as a drum early in the clip. Hell yes! We want to see a build.
Just like spongebob and patrick, a box can bring so much joy and unlimited possibilities
i just ordered my V3000 Plus because of this video!
I was a huge Corsair 7000D fan boy for the last 4 years or so, and contemplated the 1000D
But This review really showed me how similar this case is to the SMA8.
The amount of radiators i plan on putting in this thing is going to be ridiculous lol
Amazing video Jay and Team!
I must say I am upset I didn't see this case sooner. I JUST finished my build in an O11 Dynamic because it was the only case I could find that has space for my chonky as heck dual 360 rads. Now I find out there's a case that I could have super beefed up my cooling for even more insane over clocks.
Same here. I bought the Phanteks Enthoo 719 after seeing Jay's video about it, but now I am thinking I should have gone with this case instead
this thing has 3 features ive been looking at this case for weeks now and they are as follow: regular, dual system, and rotated. Hes already talked about the first 2, but the last one is you can rotate the motherboard tray 90 degrees counterclockwise. build it in all three aspects please.
Lian Li literally said "hold my beer" 🤣
I was deadset on wanting to get the o11 XL ...........but I may have found my Dream Case
Jay: *does microcenter ad*
Me: *cries in Phoenix, AZ*
Finally! A case I might upgrade to over the 900d. Still lacks a top psu mount option.
By far the funniest episode in a while, what a monster of a case.
I would absolutely love to see you build an overkill watercooled pc in this.
Sup grummett
It'd be cool to put in all the radiators you can without fans and see if it could cool with just a pump and all that surface area.
Love the irony of calling out the o11 dynamic as overused then having it be the case that is searched for in the Micro Center ad less than a minute later.
ive been eyeballing this case ever since they announced it but too bad shipping is delayed :(
Man that's gotta be at least as big as my SMA-8.
Oh, and one more thing. Once you build your personal rig in this case, you can say "I love you 3000". ^^
I absolutely love the wounded effect yall put in the video
Almost didn't watch this as I normally skip case reviews. Luckily I ran out of other videos so I clicked. I heard V3000 and was like oooooohhhhh. I have a V2000 and didn't think I'd ever replace it. I always planned on putting a second system for games servers, plex etc in there. Now theres a new case with modern support :D
Yes, Maximum water-cooling build. Fill all the possible rad spots. All the fan spots. Everything!
Reminds me of my cm cosmos 2. That case was so overkill for what I wanted to add to it but it was so good having the room for extras.
One advantage to a dual-system here, is that since case would be difficult to steel, then you have two safe computers to use without worry of the thief taking it.
jay just build cool waterstuff , every idea that you have just do it ! :)
you can reuse the hardware, and we and you can learn from it
its been sooooo long since we have seen some custom watercooling
I think Lian Li is coming out with fan group extension cables for the SL120 V2 fans! I see some on AliExpress. I do not see them on Lian Li website yet though. I did read somewhere that they are coming though due to the large amount of feedback advising cables are too short for high-end builds. Lian Li is pretty responsive to the fanbase! C'Mon Jay, you KNOW you want to do your next ultimate build in this case...and we WANT to see it!
We're ready for a Jay overkill watercooling everywhere build!
I think you should a balls to the wall duel water cooled systems in one case. That would be epic.
Do a build Jay, with all fans and an Aio. would love to see how it performs.
I love the added a grommet to run the graphics card cable down into the basement.
With all the radiator space, I'd like to see how much of a system you could build in it and passively water cool it without fans.
I need this Jay energy on every video!
This would be a throw back to the beginning…
I hope you build in this but you build with a new threadripper system!!
It would be an awesome thing to see!! And the water cooling runs and lighting would be incredible!!
Jay just totally fan-grilling for this case is good content!
You can also turn the mother board tray around and mount it in different ways. I like the face down look in this case, that’s why the grommet is besides the psu
