I considered getting this but opted for the razer edge instead. Mainly because it plays native android games better and has more power. But if you're getting it just for cloud gaming either is great if money isn't an issue
Bought one 2 days ago been running everything on high to see how well it performs. I think it’s a nice, light comfortable device. my only flaw are the graphics aren’t the best. But I do think it’s very worth it. I have 2 weeks to decide if I’m staying or changing for the steam deck.
I guess if you don't have a pc or a PS4 or an Xbox or a phone or a tablet but for some reason really good internet then this would definitely be an option!
You do realize all those things plug into the wall right bud? Theres people who go on long trips, take bus rides, time between classes in college. Handhelds aren’t new and have sold billions worth in the last few decades.
@@ArkiTechnologywell, we saw. This a joke. 300$ for a portable handheld that, well isn’t portable and need wifi h24 and pay subscription etc was a really dumb idea. At the same price you get the steam deck which does all of the few things that the GCloud does, + an enormous amount (playing games locally, which is well the basis of a handheld, emulation, he’ll it’s even a pc) hell even the Nintendo switch for the same price is leagues ahead of this
Your taking a big hit to screen size with phone tho, the aspect ratios are different so you get more square inches of display with this, also games will be displayed correctly filling the whole screen rather than having big black bars iether side.
@@corythederp8459 you still won't get the same size displayed image, even with a galaxy S22/23 ultra, the incorrect aspect ratio gives you big black bars iether side. I think the display size plus the dedicated built in controls, take it up a level from a phone with a kishi or a backbone controler. I have been considering the two options for a while myself and I think g cloud would be the better experience.
It can, but there are some trade offs. You get better battery life with it, a bigger screen, a proper aspect ratio and using your phone doesn’t interrupt the game. There’s an audience for something like the g cloud but it is terribly overpriced for what it is
You'll see when the companies start to hook you and the others these ideas from these companies will get better as the systems get better at handling the lag.
Yeah but not cloud gaming games. All offline android games are perfectly playable. But if you can share Hotspot or have a portable router you can play cloud games and online androids games.
Wait, so I must turn on my PC before going on my week vacation so I can play my Steam games on it? So I am not only paying 300 bucks, but I also have to pay for the power my PC back at home consumes? Nah fam
The price is beyond ridiculous. I can just pair my phone to a Bluetooth controller and play GeForce now on a 6“ 2K 90hz OLED. My Steam Deck works way better for in and out gaming.
Everybody already has a cell phone just buy a phone mount for your controller and it's the same exact thing 🤣🤣 your phone probably has better specs anyways
Or for an extra couple hundred get a Steam Deck or ROG Ally with actual HARDWARE to physically play games. Cause you ain't gonna have internet everywhere you go and most hot spots are not unlimited. Sooooooooo. Trash. It's only useful at home, a friend's or a hotel where you know you have internet.
