Everytime I listen to Johnny Cash in particular this song I remember when I was little sitting next to my Dad while he was driving his 1997 Ford F150, he used to play that album all the time and tell me stories when he lived in Hammond, Indiana. damn he was so proud of that truck.

He advocated for others who were also in darkness, to encourage them & say that they were his equal and not a lost cause no matter what others said about them eg his prison concerts. He was badass turned goodass with a light & a mission. He remembered his roots, not to glorify them but to help positive change in others. Respect.
