Some people hear the music, and some people feel the music, You young lady not only hear it you definitely feel it, and there is no better experience than Pink Floyd, I love the journey it takes me on, and to see your reaction brought tears just seeing how it touched you as it did me. I hope you keep going down the Pink Floyd rabbit hole
The Singers name is David Gilmour, just so you know what kind of man he is. Recently he sold his entire guitar collection for Millions of Dollars and gave it all to Charity.
Un hombre con esa sensibilidad para crear y transmitir su música tiene que ser un super humano. Por eso no es raro que haya donado la venta de su colección de guitarras. Un ser especial el señor Gilmour.
Their purpose has always been to transport listeners to another dimension. They succeed like no other band can. Great reaction. You are far from alone when you have those feelings. ❤
"Keep Talkin" and "Sorrow" from the same concert will strip your soul bare. You will see how the power of their music has kept hope alive for millions of people over 50 years. Life changing.
David Gilmour's wife once said that although he's not gifted with the ability to write great lyrics he expresses his emotions through his guitar and singing and just look at the emotional effect he had on you. This is the power that Pink Floyd had and its why I still listen to them today.
Hi there , now you have started to appreciate Pink Floyd music you will never tire of it ,it will be with you for life . I started in 73 and still love it. Glad you like , so much back catalogue for you to listen . I sincerely hope you enjoy all of it.
45 here, listening to Pink Floyd religiously since I was 14. Don’t see my taste in music ever changing to something that Pink Floyd and David Gilmore aren’t a part of. My favorite band, my favorite singer, my #1 in a top 10 guitarist list by far, several favorite songs, and mostly, their music makes me feel something. There’s a big difference in listening and liking a song versus truly feeling every note played and sung.
this is a testament to the eclectic diversity of this great band... I have been listening to Pink Floyd since the early 70ies and I have failed to listen to this awesome song .. love your reaction my dear as I have the same feelings and thoughts as well as you
Olavity, I loved your reaction so very much. We Floydians enjoy watching your generation find our music. The word I would explain that bows my knee to Floyd music is heavenly. I can only think this is the type of after life I'll experience while moving from here to there. Peaceful, romantic love of a new order that fills you with peace; pure honest peace. Floyd music is a symphony concert that no other band has ever attempted because of the unique voice of David and the band. His voice is heavenly. I was at the 1975 Pittsburgh concert for our 1975 graduation party. I sat next to this beautiful girl for the whole show. All we could do is hold hands and gaze at each other in awe. It was one of my life's pivotal moments that has tied me and my bests friends together FOR LIFE. For me the Pulse concert is the best but you must explore your own journey and pick your favorite songs. Believe me, there is a ton of songs to fall in love with and listen to for your very young and beautiful life. PS, I never saw that girl again as I went into the Marine Corp days after this concert. I think of her a lot with love.
Many people don't know Pink Floyd well because the radios always play the same songs: Money or The Wall. These songs are obviously magnificent but the universe of this group is really extraordinary to discover! Continue this journey!
Every song you hear from Pink Floyd will be something like you've never heard before. The reason for that is because Pink Floyd is their own genre!! Nobody else sounds like them and they sound like no one else! Every time you listen to the next Pink Floyd song it will be unexpected! Believe me most of us felt the same way you do right now when we first heard Floyd!!!!! And the Pulse Blu-ray is worth owning!!
That was the biggest and longest mindgasm I've ever seen on a reaction channel! That reaction was incredible. You definitely understand why we love Pink Floyd so much.
Great gig in the sky will make you cry. Be prepared. This entire concert is the best live performance by any band anywhere and at anytime. It’s the pinacle and it was almost 30 years ago. Enjoy. You are just beginning the journey. The song Sorrow is mind blowing too
the last solo builds up to an orgasmic sound of pure emotion. you know that high note is going to come all the way through the song, then BANG! so satisfying.🎉
'High Hopes', to me, summarises the loss of the optimism of youth, when we are young, beautiful, surrounded by beautiful friends, all of us full of hope and promise... Years pass, we lose touch, ambition takes over, and we look at the bridges we burned, the paths we did not take, the choices we did not make, the mistakes we made, the friends we have lost, through neglect or death. All of this at the age of 64 I have seen, and this song resonates deeply with me. For Pink Floyd, the greatest masterpiece (to me), among many is the whole of the much earlier album 'Dark Side of the Moon'. It is about life, death, madness, the passing of time, greed.... it's probably (my opinion only of course) one of the greatest albums ever made by anyone, and despite its age (it was released 1973) it still feels current.
I'm a very aged Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd songs are more of an experience than just a song to listen to. This is the magic of this band. Enjoy your experience with many more of their songs.
One of Floyd's absolute peaks and supreme achievements. A meditation on growing older and lost friends. And Gilmour's lap steel solo has made me cry every time I have heard it for more than thirty years.
It is great to see how much this song affected you emotionally. I think it is something that Pink Floyd do again and again. I wish you many hours of happiness as you continue to explore the music of this wonderful band. Thank you for sharing this with us. Perhaps I could suggest "On the turning away" as another song to enjoy.
Believe it or not, Nightwish have covered this track! Back in the days when Tarja was their singer, whilst she was doing a costume change they'd perform it, with Marco singing. It appeared on their End Of An Era DVD and you can find it on Nightwish's youtube channel.
This is a beautiful song, and I'm so happy you're exploring Pink Floyd. There are a number of great Pink Floyd songs that will transport you also: from Pulse, check out "Time," which also features the beautiful voice of keyboardist Richard Wright. Also, for a vocal performance that stands out in its own musicality, listen to the studio version of "The Great Gig in the Sky" (listen to it before a live version); I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thank you for reacting to this!
If you want to check out a Grammy winning instrumental from them, it's off the same album of high hopes, it's called "Marooned". It really is a masterpiece. There is an official video as well
This song takes you back to the simple life of childhood. The fun and friends and wonders of life. It is very emotional and heart felt. True mastery of song writing and capturing that past life we all lived before adulthood took it all away.
I’m 60 years old, and I finally discovered their music only three years ago. I think you have to be a certain age, which is vastly different for everyone, before you can really appreciate the best music, such as that of Pink Floyd. As you can see, I’m one of the latest of late bloomers.🙂 You have the rest of your lifetime to enjoy them now.
This song is so beautiful, and a bit bittersweet. Looking back on my (so far) 65 years, this is exactly how it feels - the light was brighter, the taste was sweeter, with friends surrounded ... sadly, many now missing. This is one of the songs I've picked for my own memorial service, it's just perfect. Great reaction! I'm really enjoying seeing you discover this band of all bands. For a high energy piece, try One of These Days, from the same concert. It features the bass and really gets the place rocking.
With every year that passes it seems to be more relevant, I'm into my 60's now and it always has me looking back to those dreams and ambitions and the way in which life changes all of those, also as you mention the loss of so many friends, my best mate for the last 30 odd years died in 2018.
@@RushfanUK I agree completely, Gilmour absolutely nailed the melancholy of it all. Not that I go around feeling sad all the time, far from it, but those moments where, as you say, you take a look back and ponder how things went and remember the people you've known, yeah, this song captures it perfectly. Sorry you lost your best mate, I still have 3 friends from college that I see 2 or 3 times a year (we're getting together this weekend, actually), but my family has some empty seats around the dinner table at holidays now. I understand my parents and grandparents a lot better these days. Anyway, cheers to you! I'm grateful we have this music which, as you say, seems more relevant with each passing year. Shine On!
Every time I hear this song, I sob uncontrollably @ 8:10...... the hopes & dreams of childhood shaking hands with the reality of being older. Thanks for posting & savor the tears, my friend!
As a pre-Dark Side Floyd fan of some 55 years, It brings tears to my eyes when I see tears forming in your eyes, from the almost overwhelming joy you feel listening to their music. I eagerly await your next reaction. Might I suggest "Sorrow", "One Slip" or "Run Like Hell"
It's so wonderous to see the new generation of people enjoying the music that my generation has loved for decades. I love how they are in awe of the great talent that are the true masters of their craft, and it shows the music of today that they grew up with is of no comparison. Proud to have lived in the time of Pink Floyd, and all of the great bands that brought forth great rock and changed the world...sad that musicians of today are not of this caliber.
July 1977 MSG. NYC Pink Floyd’s Money Tour one of the most transformative events. So grateful I got to attend! I was 27 years old, working in the city and seeing all the greatest musicians ever!🎶❤️☮️
Really great to see your appreciation for this!! If I could recommend another beautiful song from this Pulse concert, it would be "Us and Them". After that, I recommend "Take It Back". I was fortunate to see them on this Pulse tour in San Antonio, Texas.
Pink Floyd 1994 Pulse (Great Gig in the Sky) should be your next. If you want a emotional complete cover to cover Masterpiece than Pink Floyd (Devision Bell) is your album but don’t get lost in its sorrow ❤️🩹
Pink Floyd is legendary. They are magic. They are Gods. They work so perfectly together, and they just make you....FEEL. David Gilmour is incredibly talented as a singer/ song writer and is insanely brilliant on guitar. He can put you through a range of emotions with one simple guitar solo. This whole Division Bell album is a masterpiece!
You know when you cry over a beautiful movie? Music has the exactly the same effect. Art is emotion. You can cry. In fact you should! Btw, you are adorable. So sweet! Great work!
Pink Floyd is a band within its own genres!! There is no band that compares! Pink Floyd lyrics can be complicated and often it helps to have the lyrics handy so you can recognize their content within the song.
Totally amazing watching the younger generation connecting and falling in love with Pink Floyd...I love it. PLEASE react to On The Turning Away live...that will blow your mind.
Congratulations! you have discovered the genius of Pink Floyd! I just discovered you and will say kudos to you for feeling the spiritual side of a great composition. Keep on expanding your Pink Floyd horizons.
You should try Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 1 to 5 then Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 6 - 9. They will get your emotions going through the roof!
Dont worry that you didnt find floyd earlier, They are here for the rest of your life.. and you have only just started scratching the surface 👍❤🏴
Great reaction and choice of your 2nd Pink Floyd song. I'm glad you looked into the lyrics of this one. Pink Floyd songs have fabulous lyrics, and they usually have a deeper meaning. So my "high hopes" are that you continue looking into Pink Floyd lyrics when you react to them. Just about any Pink Floyd song you choose for your next reaction will take you to the same place, and you will appreciate the song even more if you understand the brilliance of their lyrics.
Now that you know the original and you also like Nightwish, you should check out their tribute from the "End of an Era"-DVD 🙂 These two versions belong together - they are similar and yet so different.
I'm a 71yo Rocker. Bought Pink Floyd "Dark Side Of The Moon" day it came out 1973. Best album ever to lay back with headphones and a Tupperware bowl full of Panama Red ($150 per pound back then ) and a bottle of Crown Royal. I could melt into that music. Those were the days. I still have my vinyl copy.
Thank you so much for taking that advice and listening to this one next as we knew it would be very emotional and that David playing the steel guitar also known as a lap guitar would grab you it is a very unique sound, and it was a joy watching you react to it. I think that the next one in line should be from the same concert. And the name of this song is. Sorrow. And as I said before, by the time you get through those three songs, you will be a true Pink Floyd fanatic from that point on. There are many many many more songs, but that should be the next one. You’ve just begun. You have to remember this group started out in the late 60s and have never slowed down since. I wish you could have seen and been there at just one of these concerts. Will be looking forward to your reaction to. Sorrow
Seen this tour twice Miami and Tampa. I cried from the point of shine on you crazy diamond the moment David struck the first chord on his guitar until the concert was over. It was the happiest I've ever been in my life.
Yes! You should definitely follow up this PF original with 2005 Nightwish tribute version. It is true to the original, but with the awesome Nightwish sauce added. Many us, who are also big PF fans like the NW version every bit as much, if not more. Do it while this is still fresh in your memory.
The Pulse concert is great song after great song after great song. It's unbelievable. How would I rank Sorrow or the Great Gig in the Sky vs High Hopes? I have no idea they are all incredible.
An extremely emotional and poignant track, it is off their underrated Division Bell album, it is a Floyd Masterpiece indeed. We were as crazy for them back then and would go anywhere to see them, a Pink Floyd concert was a religious experience! Next do Echoes live, in their prime, in 1972 at Pompeii in the ancient Roman amphitheater. Unreal scene and a vibe like no other, you will freakout! Enjoy 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
he can truly make a guitar cry and sob with emotion. nobody does it like Dave Gilmore. you're waiting all the way through for that 1 note that's coming. he teases you with it. true brilliance.
So glad more generations are experiencing Floyd as they have the best music that has ever been released and every generation needs to hear it for the rest of time. Other planets that visit In the far future need to hear it aswell.
I've seen PF in concert twice. 1980's. They may not be the greatest band ever, but they'll remain my favorite. Their music is more than the sounds. It's how the sounds were created.
David Gilmour on a steel guitar is an immediate emotional trigger for a lot of people. Someone once said that David Gimour can do more with one note than most guitarists can do with an entire fret board. Pink Floyd are the undisputed Gods of Live performance. Everything in their show is designed to connect the audience with every single note. The special effects and the lights were designed the merge with the music to make the impact. I never feel sad with Pink Floyd, I only ever feel an incalculable level of pure joy. The only time I truly cry is listening to Floyd, because of the joy I feel
With this beautiful and sometimes sad song, Pink Floyd paid yet another tribute to the legendary Syd Barret. You can see this by watching the official video of the song. Having said that, I am delighted to see young people listening to Floyd..., good and congratulations.
Some people hear the music, and some people feel the music, You young lady not only hear it you definitely feel it, and there is no better experience than Pink Floyd, I love the journey it takes me on, and to see your reaction brought tears just seeing how it touched you as it did me. The whole Pulse concert is great, so listen to all of it!
It's really great 6 row from the stage
Their purpose has always been to transport listeners to another dimension. They succeed like no other band can. Great reaction. You are far from alone when you have those feelings. ❤
I concur.
The older I get, the more I cherish this song. And the more my eyes get teary.

I support "Keep talking"!
I think ………….SORROW ….is too much for her ❤
Got my vote!

She will love the end solo in "sorrow" I think.
I do as well but I think the studio version might be best for the first time@@philipkudrna5643
I'm sitting here crying at your reaction! Now you know how I feel about Pink Floyd! You get it!!!!!!
Pink Floyd is the most important group in the world of all time
David Gilmour's wife once said that although he's not gifted with the ability to write great lyrics he expresses his emotions through his guitar and singing and just look at the emotional effect he had on you. This is the power that Pink Floyd had and its why I still listen to them today.
How is he not gifted? If he isn't, where would that put any of us?

I'm 63 years old now and have been walking with this music in my head for almost 40 years. I will continue to hear this until the day I die.
I'm turning 56 and have been on that same journey with Pink Floyd since I was 10 years old, thanks to my oldest brother, who let me listen with him.
63 years old. Listing for 48 years and counting.

Don't worry. I am a 58 year old man and Pink Floyd (Dave Gimour) still makes me cry x
I agree, I'm 51 and have listened to to this song since 1994, makes me cry each time.......
I totally agree.

These artists.....these professional musicians spent so much time together playing and honing their craft to perfection!
Great reaction!
That was the biggest and longest mindgasm I've ever seen on a reaction channel! That reaction was incredible. You definitely understand why we love Pink Floyd so much.
Thats not only music ,thats Art
You have just scratched the surface of their masterpieces of music. My favorite for over 4 decades.
Great chorus and a great Gilmour solo. This track deserves more airplay.
There is so much by Floyd you need to listen to. Try 'Hey you' next? You'll love it.
If you liked this, you should also give the Pulse-Version of "Shine on you crazy diamond" a chance!
DEFINITELY ❤
50 years ago Pink Floyd were already 200 years ahead of everybody!

73 here. I know we all bac then listened to music similarly
Sorrow
I loved your excitement at the end, Pink Floyd tells stories with every note of their music like no other.
Love your passion and appreciation for great music.
Nightwish did a really good cover of this song. Definitely worth checking out
I concur
I didn't want it to end either ☀ it touched your heart it's so beautiful
David also discovered Kate bush singing in a pub and kick started her career
Seen this tour twice Miami and Tampa. I cried from the point of shine on you crazy diamond the moment David struck the first chord on his guitar until the concert was over. It was the happiest I've ever been in my life.
Got quite emotional watching your reaction to this lovely song! Your next reaction from the ‘Pulse’ gig HAS to be ‘Sorrow’!
NIGHTWISH cover of this with MARCO singing will freaking blow you away
Yes! You should definitely follow up this PF original with 2005 Nightwish tribute version. It is true to the original, but with the awesome Nightwish sauce added. Many us, who are also big PF fans like the NW version every bit as much, if not more. Do it while this is still fresh in your memory.
It will!!!!!
I love the Britt Floyd version! I'll have to check out the Nightwish version!
@@lancewright8652 Yes, with a dark tone given the situation with the female singer Tarja's dismissal the same evening, just after the concert.
Thats what! Pink Floyd for ever
The Pulse concert is great song after great song after great song. It's unbelievable.
How would I rank Sorrow or the Great Gig in the Sky vs High Hopes? I have no idea they are all incredible.
You need to do the great gig in the sky from this concert, you won't be disappointed
I want Pink Floyd played at my funeral
Welcome to Pink Floyd, dear. I'm 41, i've heard them since i was little and they still make me cry. Once you got in, you can never get out!
Enjoy 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
On the turnig away, is another great song by Pink Floyd
Great reaction. High Hopes is a beautiful song. You have so many more great Pink Floyd songs to look forward to 😊.
Can't wait to continue down your journey to many more reactions. I'm especially looking forward to your Metal reactions. 🎸
Such a beautiful song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he can truly make a guitar cry and sob with emotion. nobody does it like Dave Gilmore. you're waiting all the way through for that 1 note that's coming. he teases you with it. true brilliance.
Great gig in the sky from this concert 👌
David Gilmour on a steel guitar is an immediate emotional trigger for a lot of people. Someone once said that David Gimour can do more with one note than most guitarists can do with an entire fret board. Pink Floyd are the undisputed Gods of Live performance. Everything in their show is designed to connect the audience with every single note. The special effects and the lights were designed the merge with the music to make the impact. I never feel sad with Pink Floyd, I only ever feel an incalculable level of pure joy. The only time I truly cry is listening to Floyd, because of the joy I feel
You've just barely scratched the surface of this amazing rabbit hole
Always so deep, true. Im 60 every ttime it gets me. ❤❤❤ Good work young lady.🇮🇹🇧🇪
PERFECT reaction TY
Opacity you had me in tears watching your lovely reaction to a truest beautiful song one of their best❤❤😂
With this beautiful and sometimes sad song, Pink Floyd paid yet another tribute to the legendary Syd Barret. You can see this by watching the official video of the song. Having said that, I am delighted to see young people listening to Floyd..., good and congratulations.
