I watched the video on Friday, 8th march 24, so I had a go at making the bag, turned out alright. So I had another go on Saturday 9th march, to make sure it was not a fluke. Worked out good, again. So chuffed with myself. So a big thank you from a newbie who has only been machine sewing since may 23.
    Again thank you.

Of course I love the adult bag but the child’s bag is perfect for a child. You are so talented and I have learned so much from you. Thank you so much for sharing. I’ve made several things from your videos I just wished I would know how to post it to your video lol technology doesn’t agree with me very well. I have made pouches and did a twist on it. Instead of putting a label because I don’t have a name at this moment I did an iron on of some sort on the front. I just fell in love with it and my friends wants me to make them one. How ever I just can’t seem to charge them because they are such super sweet friends I have decided to give them as a gift just to say thank you for being in my life and being a great friend to me. I love all of your videos and you have really inspired me to want to do something that I love which is creating something that I could never have done without your help. I appreciate your talented and kindness more than you can even imagine.

I did it! I made a tote using the tutorial for the black bag. It turned out wonderful! I am making my four grandchildren totes to take to the library and bring books home. The only "boo-boo" I made was using directional fabric and forgetting to consider that. But the tote still turned out very cute. The boys won't care that the dinosaurs are upside down. 🤣So sturdy! A great tutorial. Thank you!

Love both fabrics. When I make lined bags, I leave the opening in the top either between the handles or on the side over the side seam. I then turn the edges in and once top stitched it is enclosed. You can then use the bag reversible.

Betty, If I were using my upholstery fabric, I wouldn't use a stabiliser as I think it's firm enough. I recently did the little tablet bag this way, and it was stable enough without it 😀 If it were draping fabric, I'd probably use a light stabiliser

Eduarda, I sell mine mostly in my shop. I have a second hand/junk store/sewing & alterations shop all in one 😀. I do also sell online on my website, at some markets, and also some handmade Facebook pages

i prefer the one with the black and multi color... however, the softer bag might be a lot nicer for a child with texture issues.
so while i prefer the black one, you may want to offer the softer one as an option for all of my neuro spicey folks

Hi Christine, watching from Lowgap,N.C. I just love your videos I've learned a lot from you and I Have just one question, what kind of thread do you use. I'm a new sewer and I am confused on the different types of threads and what to use them on. I mostly use cotton on all my stuff I make but then I thought I should be using polyester. I'm sooo confused. Can you please help me. Thank you

Hi Teckla. When I'm quilting and using 100% cotton fabric, I use Gutermann cotton thread, and for all my other sewing, I use Gutermann polyester thread. Cotton will break down much quicker with your sewing than the poly will. I find the cheaper quality of thread has more issues with some machines when sewing, and more lint comes off them as well. Sometimes it's better to spend the extra few cents on better thread, than having issues. Each person you talk to will have differing views on what you should use. I'm much more relaxed on the so called "rules" of sewing, but do find good quality thread looks better, sews better, and is better for my machines. Welcome to the world of sewing. 😀
