Another great tutorial! As to your quandary “what to paint” i think you should paint what makes you happy. I’ve been watching older videos and no matter what you paint, i always learn something. You do good work, and i love your banter!
Wowsers your paint is the same age as my youngest daughter!!😄Come to think of it,I probably have paints as old or older! Well they still paint and so do we! I adore all your paintings Dianne, sending warm wishes and only good vibes!👍🙏👋😊🥰
Diane, these anemones are gorgeous! Just like ALL of your videos, this tutorial is so relaxing and inspiring. Tamsin, the music selection and videography is excellent as always. What a perfect painting to brighten one's home and remind them that spring is right around the corner. I just love reading all of the kind comments that you both receive from your loyal fans and watching your numbers grow makes me very happy and well deserved. So many of my family and friends have subscribed to your channel and have mentioned how they now feel they can paint and all because of you! It must be a very rewarding feeling seeing how many people's lives you are positively influencing. Cheers to you both! PS - This morning I again watched your easy Italian Watercolor Landscape tutorial and sketched it out and it's ready to paint :)
Thank you Carolyn for your lovely comments. It’s always a pleasure to read your comments and I’m continually being amazed and very pleased about the success of the channel. I wouldn’t be able to do it without you!
Oh my, absolutely gorgeous, ty ty, Mrs. Diane! I enjoyed watching this so much! I think is time for me to open my cotton watercolor paper! And paint, this is stunning! You are the bestest! Ty ty,
Hi Diane, I too love your paintings and your banter but most of all I listen to the background to hear what animal is joining you in your painting today. So calming to hear!
Diane, thank you so much for your anemone tutorial. I love your loose way of painting. Your tutorials are so relaxing and I love hearing the rooster in the background at random times. It adds to your lifestyle. Again, thank you.
Diane I love your tutorials! You really have made me feel like I can paint.I’ve learned so much! I love how you tell us all about your journey and and your life. So interesting and so helpful.
Hi Diane, I was sad to think you are tortured by what to paint for us.😞 Just listening to you is important to me as I go through my day. Of course that’s not to say that I’m also studying watercolor! I loved the sketch that you showed of the sheep snd the fox. I was hoping that we were going to paint that! Maybe you are saving it for your sketching channel. Regardless, I am loving the anenomies! Have a comfortable day. 🌸🌸🌸
Hi Kim, please don't believe a word I say - remember, I'm English and we do have a habit of putting ourselves down and moaning unnecessarily about things! I love painting for the channel and the hardest thing is choosing what to paint from all the possibilities! You're watching an older video here, I'm not sure which sheep and fox you were thinking of, but there is this one with sheep, rabbits and chickens! ruclips.net/video/KhNLZiox310/видео.html
Just beautiful considering you didn’t know what you wanted to do. I guess prayer helps. I was stuck in a very ugly stage one day recently. I cried, Lord, what will I do? I got an answer right away! I am sure He said, Let it dry! It turned out amazing.
I am in love with Anemones now...lol...ya make painting so easy :-) - really enjoyed the story about your first watercolor paint box...I spent an hour browsing for tin empty water color paint boxes...I am going to try and paint Anemones...thank you for sharing!
I was painting along…. And suddenly I heard your rooster (not sure at the time where the sound came from😅) but he helped me remember to go out and close my chicken coop, it was getting dark fast! Thanks rooster!❤
Ohhh these are SO lovely, and you've made me feel that I actually could achieve this! Thank you so much Diane, for this particular tutorial. Anemones were my Grandmas most favourite flowers, and she comes to mind every time I see them. I shall have a go at painting these tomorrow. Again - thank you. Have a blessed rest of your day! x
Hi Sharon, thanks for your question. I think the brushes can get quite worn if they are used to "scrub" at paint that has dried in the pan. It's only too easy to lose the fine point on a brush this way. I don't always remember to do it myself, but it's definitely best to wet your pans first so they go soft, or to squeeze fresh paint out of the tube (or spray what you've left from the last time...) and also to use an older brush to activate the paint and even pick it up to put into the palette to make a prepared wash. So, in short, yes, it does!
Whilst the music choices are lovely, I find it distracts from Diane's tuition. Please consider leaving it out sometimes. Mind you! I do love to hear the natural sounds from your animals!
This was beautiful, thank you. I love your honesty, approach to life, and especially your sense of humor. 😂
Thank you, that’s so kind of you to say!

From little red blobs great anemones grow.....what a beautiful way to spend a Sunday morning. 😁🙏

These anemones are so striking!! Just what I needed after a frigid, icy snowstorm in February to remind me Spring WILL come again!! Thank you !
Lovely so relaxing. Love these flowers.

Love your loose freestyle.

These are lovely! A splash of color in the dreary winter. Those final details really pulled it all together. They are so important
Hi Darlene, thanks for your comment, and yes, the black centres always make a tremendous difference, poppies are similar like that xx
Very beautiful. I really do like watching your "process". I am sure it helps a lot of us who often feel the same "quandary"...Thank you
Just love watching you paint and prepare to paint ! Always a pleasure and always great tutorials xx
Enjoyed this very much! Thank you! Enjoyed the paintbox tour.
Glad you enjoyed it Debbie!
Well mine didn’t turn out anything like yours, Diane, but boy I enjoyed painting it. Certainly took my mind of unpleasantries! ❤️❤️❤️

I was painting along…. And suddenly I heard your rooster (not sure at the time where the sound came from😅) but he helped me remember to go out and close my chicken coop, it was getting dark fast! Thanks rooster!❤
This is stunning Diane! Watching it transform and loved the stiff brush method 😊😊👍❤️
So pretty. You make it look like I might be doable for me. Thanks for your wonderful videos.

My god, this is so beautiful. I learned more today as well. Thank you.
Love your brush holder with the cat. I would like a tutorial on how to paint an ermine or weasel.
Great idea!
Beautiful, love them! ❤

You are so welcome!
The white lids off of jars work just fine of course my olives are drying out a bit. 😉

Diane, you make it look so easy. I need to practice. Mine looks nothing like yours. Thank you. I’m a beginner. 🌸
Beautiful and encouraging as always. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Excited!!!
perfect❤
Beautiful…..
Love your friendly videos and seem to know you.. thank you
Would love to see a video of painting or incorporating eucalyptus. My daughter's guestroom is screaming for such a painting, LOL!
Diane, does it break down brushes the more we twirl them around in the little paint pots? I always wondered
Hi Sharon, thanks for your question. I think the brushes can get quite worn if they are used to "scrub" at paint that has dried in the pan. I've just read your list of colours. I hope the Caput Mortuum isn't the original stuff!
I hope so too!!!!!
❤❤
Whilst the music choices are lovely, I find it distracts from Diane's tuition. Please consider leaving it out sometimes. Mind you! I do love to hear the natural sounds from your animals!
Hi Julie, we don’t use music any more so the recent videos and new ones are all music free!! Still got the noisy animals though!!!
well now you're just showing off...naming all of the colors..haa
