Diane, I selfishly am very glad you didn’t quit painting 15 years ago. What would we do without you? You and your work are the reason I didn’t give up and sell all of my watercolor supplies. I love watercolor and ink. Thank you for the video!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I truly appreciate your support and I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoy my watercolor painting videos. It means a lot to me that you find inspiration and joy through my content. Keep creating and stay inspired!
Hello Diane, thanks for the inspiring videos! I saw, you have colour's from Meeden. Is your palette also from Meeden? I could not find any palette like this. Best regards from Germany, Susanne
Diane! I love all of the paintings you showed in this video! Even the one you cut into bookmarks! I'm SO sorry those thoughtless people visited and made you so worried. That would totally freak me out too. Thank you so much for all you do and say. I love to listen to you talk. I'm from Kansas, USA ,so your accent is so pleasant to listen to. The other night I was watching a British TV series on cable . Someone referred to "dolly birds" and I got such a kick out of it! I heard you mention that term on a recent video and had never heard it before. I'm a couple of years older than you so I really enjoy your stories from the past. I can identify with them and enjoy the British slant of those times!
Diane! As always I LOVE watching you paint AND listening to you as you make beautiful art!! Thank you and your sweet daughter for making these videos!!! Can’t wait for the next one!❤
I really love this colour scheme and what a difference when you did the black & white pen lines! Very eye catching and would make a great fabric for cushions etc ❤
I love listening to you talk. I find it very interesting so please do not stop. I have not had Covid and definitely don’t want it, so I would stand well back! Great tutorial again. Thank you
Thanks Lynne, don’t worry, we’re not planning to stop any time soon! I think I kept far enough away and she swore she was three weeks in the clear so fingers crossed! Thanks for your kind words, so sweet xxx
I'm enjoying the simplicity of your painting and instruction. Never would have chosen these colors, but they are so pretty together!!! Thank you for the videos.
Diane, you are a breath of fresh air with your life stories/philosophy cleverly disguised as art lessons ❤❤ I have loved watching you now for some months but you completely won me over today with your comment about ironing not needing to be done 😂 a girl after my own heart.
Thank you. Absolutely stunning. Love your work. Learned so much. The combination of paint and pen is great for me too. Freedom and detail. Opposites that are me. ❤
I can’t believe that twice you mentioned that your painting was ugly!? That is an absolutely stunningly, beautiful floral, watercolor.!!!!! I think it’s incredible! Too often than not, I watch amazing artists do their RUclips videos and put themselves or their artwork down. I wish it would stop. This is said in love because your artworks are absolutely amazing… And it’s people like yourself that inspire me to paint.
Hi there, thanks so much for your comment! I just wanted to reassure you that I am not putting myself down, and I’m sorry if you misunderstood my intentions! I was trying to show how, if you paint something that doesn’t match what you expected to produce, or that at first glance you feel is not pleasing you, there is something you can do about it. You can carry on, and take it to completion. My method of drawing over the top of a watercolor can produce really striking results and the looser (or even uglier!) the original watercolor, the better the final result! I did this to avoid getting into a mentally blocked situation, not as a result of my painting being “ugly” (just a manner of speaking, being a Brit can be hard…) but because I’d had the kind of emotionally draining day that can lead to an artist’s block. I wanted to stop that one in its tracks! Hopefully I’ve explained my thinking process now, and I do hope you continue to enjoy the videos xxx
@@DianeAntoneStudio oh good!!!! Lol sorry. Yes, I completely misunderstood and I’m glad that you explained what you meant. I think I was having a really off day that day as well, and was triggered… So I’m glad that is all sorted out and I will absolutely continue to watch your beautiful work unfold on RUclips. Thanks for sharing again! Have a beautiful day/evening. 🙏🏻💗
Dear Diane, I would just like to thank you for your videos. When I have a bad day your paintings and chatter cheer me up. You introduced me to the paint and pen doodle style and I see it as my therapy. I found your channel in December and so far it really helped me a lot. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. ❤
Hi Deoni and welcome to the channel! So glad you found us and that we are able to cheer you up a bit when you feel down! The pen and paint style is so friendly! It’s my therapy too! Happy painting and thanks so much for your kind words and your support xxx
I really love the choice of color; those are two of my favorite colors (purple and turquoise). Thank you for sharing. I have heard of jelly printing and watched others on You Tube do it and it does look really interesting and fun. I have only seen them use the acrylic paints and didn't know that watercolors could be used as well. I look forward to seeing you do a live, unfortunately I will be watching afterward as I won't be able to see it on Sunday. I too am really glad you didn't give up painting all those years ago. You are so good and I absolutely love your style.
Hi Sundie, so glad you’re interested in finding out more about the gelli prints, it’s a fascinating craft! Thanks so much for your kind comments and I hope you are keeping well xxx
Hi Diane! Ignore all the critics! They are probably jealous of your talent!! Please don't stop making your videos. You have such a wonderful and creative way of painting.
Diane, I'm so glad that you posted the three little birds tutorial. It was what inspired me to take up watercolour again. I tried it out and had so much fun!! I had almost sent my paints to a charity shop in the middle of a decluttering splurge. That was about 6 weeks ago and I've been watching you and painting almost every day since. Just loving it!!! I enjoy your chit chat too. I think I am the same age as you too and enjoy the memories of school days in the 1960s. Thank you for all your hard work in keeping us well taught and inspired.
Hi Madeleine, thanks so much for your lovely comments! So glad you didn’t do that decluttering of paints - I can hardly believe I got that low that I nearly threw everything out, and I’m so glad I didn’t in the end! Keep watching the channel and commenting whenever you can, it’s lovely to hear from others of my generation - we are so wonderful!
Thank you for your tutorial this morning. A bright spot during my 8th day hopefully recovering from Covid someone brought to me🥺. I want to try painting a bit today, you, as always, inspired me. You could have no idea how much you & your tutorials have enriched my life this year.
Oh, I’m so sorry to hear you have Covid. I hope you get over it completely very soon. Maybe you saw my video from Friday where I mentioned that a friend had come round for coffee and sat down opposite me, then announced she’d had Covid recently!!!! I wish people would THINK! Feel better soon! And thanks so much for your support, it means a lot xxx
Yes, I have done gel plating. I did something similar in the 1960's. I learned how to make the gel plate to use for printing A special pen was needed. I really like this painting today. Arkansas, USA. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing. I like your water marks and your rambling chatter. It makes me feel like you're talking to me. I've been enjoying painting and using ink marks lately myself. I would like to learn more about the gelly plates though. Thanks again!
I love this colour scheme! And thank you for showing us how that the boldness of marks far outside the lines gives a completely different look from the mere “retracing the lines” approach. I am fascinated by your talent and find that your thoughtful, quiet ramblings are not at all boring but most instructive. I watch several of your videos each day and am learning so much. Thank you! ❤️
Diane hello! I'm 4 min into this video and want to say I LOVE THIS PIC!! The flowers are fabulous and I love the colors. Ok. Now I'm going to treat myself to the rest of the video- my coffee and a piece of chocolate. You just can't beat this combo! Much love from Susan in AZ❤️🏜️
I am a beginner and am learning so much from you. I am very grateful. I have been cutting up my practice pieces into 4x6 postcards--I can usually find at least one sweet spot amongst my feeble efforts! Thank you.
You should have moved south to Lethbridge. I’m from Taber, Alberta. This area was a desert area, not a tree to be found. Now of course we have thousands of trees, all beautiful! We get chinooks here so our snow melts often in winter and summers are very hot. Usually 25 degrees to almost 40 degrees. Our winters are usually around +10 down to - 30 at times. The cold days don’t usually last long. I am quite enjoying your site. I’ve been painting acrylic for over 40 years and am just now trying water colour. I’ve always been very big on tiny details so this easy flowing style is a stranger to me. You’re very encouraging and forgiving. I shall endeavour to be the same. I’m 73 this year. Never too old to try something new. God bless! Thank you! 🇨🇦👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Linda! My son went to university in Lethbridge! We might have ended up going down there if it weren’t for my husband’s work being in Canmore/Banff with Canadian Pacific Hotels… I’m so glad you are enjoying exploring watercolor, and as an experienced acrylic painter I think you’ll soon find you a creating lovely work in watercolor. You’re totally right, and 73 is definitely not too old to start anything (or almost anything, not bungee jumping…) I’m going to hit 70 this year God willing, and life still has its great challenges to come!
Hi Diane from a wet and windy Wales! I’ve never attempted this style of painting before, but after watching your poppy tutorial I’m really loving it 😊 I enjoy it mainly because you don’t have to be a fantastic drawer to achieve great results ❤
Hi Diane, I have been making jelly plate 'art' for about six or seven years now. Although I began with acrylic, I saw Tracy doing some with watercolour at one of the art and craft shows that I used to visit. There are many different things you can use on jelly plates so just go for it. If you don't try you will never know whether it will be a success. Just have fun.
Diane- Thank you so much for mentioning my channel. I really enjoyed this video, and look forward to catching up on the many videos you've created, and multiple platforms! you are so inspiring. Glad you are somewhere warmer now that Alberta is moving into Fall/winter temps.
You are so welcome! It has been interesting watching you over the past few months. RUclips is not the easiest job to do although it is certainly rewarding being able to reach out to people around the world. I hope the fires have died down now in Alberta - my ex still lives in Edmonton and he was very worried about the possibility of fires coming really close. Happy fall and wishing you a very Chinooky winter!
Yes, it has been a huge learning curve and rollercoaster of ups and downs and inside outs! ha. But I'd like to stick with it.... I admire you for how successful you are on here and your videos are so authentic and inspiring. Yes, the fires have died down but it seems they are becoming the norm in summertime here. Where abouts are you located now?@@DianeAntoneStudio
Yay! I’m excited to see what you do with the gel plate as well!! I’ve been playing with that for a few months now and I find it more difficult than I want it to be!! Some of my difficulties with that is finding the right paper! I’m trying to get color on both sides of the paper and that’s where I get into trouble. Any hints on that from anyone is appreciated! Thank you for chatting because living alone can be a bit too quiet!! I really like what you do with the pen! Please don’t get Covid! I was ever so careful but still did get it! I took the Paxlovid, but there was a couple of bad days and it lasted two weeks for me but then I am 73. I am well now and no signs of the long Covid… Beautiful floral today! That is almost the colors of my home interior…all white with pops of magenta, aqua, and deep yellow. Really nice! 💕
Hi Donna, so glad you got over the Covid. I think I had it before it was really identified as a new disease, because I came into indirect contact with Chinese students my son used to teach. It affected my breathing. Better now but I’m not keen to get it again! So glad you are interested in the idea of the gelli printing. I haven’t tried doing both sides yet. I use paper which has a smooth surface, something like really heavy copy paper (60lb) or sulphite paper seems to work well. Watercolor paper or textured paper doesn’t seem as easy to use. So glad you enjoyed the painting today, they are lovely colors aren’t they! Have fun xxx
I loved the 3 birds video! I followed along and was so happy with my results. I’ve been working in my doodling and tend to overthink it. You make it look easy, but I’m definitely going to give it a go 😉
Love your free and easy style with the whimsical doodles!!! My style is a lot tighter and controlled when I’m at my best but I ‘m not always there. Watching you is so refreshing and when I “copy” your style it improves my style!!! Win Win!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Thank you for your ideas on creating. I've been overwhelmed lately and not painting. Something definitely not right. Keep on sharing your painting and ideas.
Dear momaosachicago…one of the reasons that I follow Diane is that her paintings are often “little bites” that we can sneak into our day. I hope that you just try that and see if it doesn’t help the feeling of being overwhelmed, after all you will have created something in that busy day!! Good luck!! Donna 💕
I absolutely love painting this. It’s colorful and was very easy. I must say my leaves are improving 😉. The more I do the better it looks. And I agree, thanks for not quitting 💖
I found Allison a couple of days ago myself. I attempted doing something like her work yesterday, and I failed miserably. I love the pen and wash look. It’s a fabulous look! Thanks for rescuing your "ugly" painting in such a masterful way.
I love how you talk about almost giving up and selling all your supplies but I am glad you didn't! I have occasionally felt that way too. Coincidentally, we were at a family wedding last night and my younger brother (who I adore) who had had a bit too much to drink, went into a long, loud dissertation about how I owe it to the world to share my talent (remember, he had a lot to drink!) and that my paintings will be my lasting legacy for future generations. He made me feel really good! Part of my gift to the bride and groom (my nephew) was four small framed paintings of dark green and gold feathers. These are the bride's favorite colors and she has been dropping hints about paintings of feathers for months. :-)
Oh that sounds wonderful Deb, how lucky you are to have such lovely family around you! He’s right, of course, although I’m sure you’re not thinking about your legacy just yet!!!! So glad your paintings have found lovely homes, what a lucky girl to have four feathers as a gift!
Oh, thanks so much Gemma, that’s really kind of you! I was very unsure about the chances of that one working out, but I like it too - thanks for choosing it!
When I first started watching you do this multimedia with the pens I suddenly felt free! I didn’t have to make flowers and leave look like flowers and leaves! I could make my blobs look wonderful!❤
Diane, I am so pleased you hung in there with your artistic talent. This video came at just the right time to make me move onward. I hadn't painted in 3-4 weeks. My confidence and ideas were non-existent. I love to pair paint and pen/markers. This video brought me back to my happy place. Hope you avoided CoVid.
That’s such good news!!! I’m so glad I didn’t give up too, and you mustn’t either! It’s so important to create, and I really like the idea of the reverse coloring pages, where you just randomly cover a sheet of paper with color and then later decide what to make it into! Guaranteed to smash any block!
Sometimes it is hard or almost impossible to open a tube of watercolor paint. I use a small piece of gripper material (like shelf lining...has little holes in it) or a jar opener thingie to help open the tubes without bending them. And to hear your voice talking about this or that is like having you sit with us at the kitchen table, sip a cup of coffee or tea and just chat! So paint, chat, educate...so many things can be accomplished in a video!
Thanks so much for the tips and the support, really appreciate it Gail x I should definitely get some help with those lids, they are already quite stiff. I should also clean my tube necks, so lazy!
I love this! Big and Bold! It will look lovely on the wall in our didning room! I'll try my best to do my version of it. Thank you Diane for this Gorgeous tutorial and like everyone else here, im SO glad you did not 'throw in' your brushes!! I have YOU to Thank for lots of cute bird n tree pictures around the house!! xx Mel in Devon UK 🍰🌻
I love your choice of colors! Love your easy, flowing style. Love your bantor of life and how to avoid stressing over it. Not really sure why you hated your work. I loved it enough to immolate it, so as to use in my journal making as a signature cover page. Sorry for your day of unexpected surprises, but look at what you produced that was really creative, inspiring and worth passing on. I found great value in it! THANK YOU! 🥰💜🎉
Thanks so much for your super-kind words! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and I really appreciate your feedback, it makes the whole thing so much more rewarding xxx
Hello Diane, I absolutely love this painting and the trial one shown at the beginning. This one really feels so fresh and fun. Yes, like other comments...so glad that you did not quit painting 15 years ago, but I had to chuckle out loud because I can NOT tell you how many times I have made a dismal painting and thought I should just get rid of the whole lot and forget that I think I should paint and draw. Also, thank you for introducing different things. I have never heard of a jelly plate, so I rather enjoyed hearing about it and watching the video (I watched that video first). I can't wait to get my Meeden supplies.
Hi Stephanie and thanks for your lovely comment. I’m glad you didn’t give up! I am glad you have purchased some of the Meeden paints, I think they are quite liberating as when I use them I don’t worry about the cost and can be very liberal with the use. Have fun!
I absolutely love that blue and mauve flower painting, Diane!!. It reminds me of wallpaper I had as a child in the 70s. It's also reminiscent of the vintage M & S bedspread and curtain set. I've actually got one of the bed spreads. I really love it!!!!
I watched your tutorial on the Gelli Plate. I bought one that same day and took it on vacation with me. I used watercolor with the liquid soap as you did and it turned out great. Sandy from Ohio. I love your tutorials!!! Thank you
I love the colour combo. One of my favourite outfits from quite a few years ago was turquoise and purple. I look forward to seeing the gelli plate demo with water colours.
I've not seen much purple and turquoise, but now I'll be on the lookout. I really liked the painting you cut up into bookmarks. Maybe share the with us in the court of public opinion? Some days, I should not be painting because of what I project onto my wc paper. Then I realize, it's a great friend accepting all of my emotions, without judgment. I'm making more accordion sketchbooks today, having a blast creating all kinds of artistic covers! I've decided to sell them, because they're absolutely lovely, feel good in the hands, the scent of the Arches paper slightly heady. I supplied the worldwide prompts for June for Doodlewash, so I'm sketching and painting like crazy to create 30 paintings. Have a lovely weekend, Diane and Tamsin. I am so glad we all have one another with which to bounce things off. It's the best part of friendship, and you are definitely our friend. :) Fanna
Hi Fanna, great to get your lovely message! Yes, next time I am in doubt I’ll throw it out to the girls and see what comes back! Good plan!! Some days it’s when you really need to paint that you are afraid to - but if you can get through that it’s often then that progress is made and lessons learnt - or so I believe! Fascinated with the idea of the accordion sketchbooks - did you find the idea online, in other words is there an instruction video to follow? I think you told me there was but I can’t remember offhand what it was! Can you tell me what Doodlewash is?
Oh I just love this painting Diane! The color combinations are brilliant! I always love your birds too, I’ll be off trying to find that video next, if I don’t get side tracked by something else that interests me on the way lol. I love your work! Thank you.
You make me laugh. I too get to the stage and want give up and do the ironing, cooking, cleaning. But you give me permission to carry on past the ugly stage. Glad I listened. 🌸🌼
Love your authenticity! I am a newbie and so have lots of “bin material”. What I have started to do is cut out any parts of a disaster that I like. After collecting several I am going to make a collage of them in a journal.
@@DianeAntoneStudio I had a heart attack 2 months ago and I’ve not felt like painting since…… you inspired me and tomorrow I plan to get my paints out and paint some nice bright flowers and finish them off with your black pen technique. Thank you X 💜 X
I find it easiest to say before I start “I am going to paint the worst painting I’ve ever painted.” Then you will relax and you never know what might happen!
Dear Diane, I rather liked that painting you cut up (under the black seaweed stripes it looked very pretty) and I'm going to start painting today's art as soon as I finish my tea. (It tends to get cold if I try to paint and drink tea together. ) I look forward to all your videos, thank you for sharing with us. Sandy Cols. Raleigh NC
Hi Sandy, yes, I was having a negative moment that day! In the end I doodled on the “bookmarks” I’d cut up and they are actually ok. I’ll put a photo on the community tab on here for you to see!
Oh what a beautiful color combination, (I LOVE turquoise and purple together!) and I did so enjoy watching you paint and do the ink embellishments and hear you share your day. I'm so sorry about your possible exposure to COVID!!! That awful virus has sure created a lot of stress and strife for so many many people!!!! I pray you will be all right, and I suspect you will be good... you are GOOD, and that's the truth!!!!
I always enjoy your videos! I always love your stories and talks they're lovely. Just a little idea that I have used for paints and other lids is put a rubber band on the tops of hard to open paints that way it won't hurt your fingers and give you a better grip. I use these tiny little rubber band type things that come in a 500 pack, and I get from the $ store. Your "ugly" flowers are much better than my best paintings..lol but seriously, they are, but I will continue to try and improve, but my absolute favorite thing is to just play with colors and tons of water. It just makes me happy, and that's what it's about, right? Anyway, thank you for your videos they are so nice and relaxing. Have a great day.
Hi Diane! I enjoy your videos so much and love your perspective on art and life. I definitely believe we were created to create! Thank you for bringing another fun, and beautiful, inspiration to us. (Your leaves are beautiful! I love painting leaves and letting them dry with the water mark…..it’s a loose style and it’s what everyone wants to achieve these days! Leaves are my favorite too).
This was lovely to paint. I will try another with a different color pallet. I live in Alaska and just returned from Calgary where I picked up a Weimaraner puppy from a breeder there. Calgary was so beautiful and green and the smoke was not present. What rich farm and grazing land that is there. We also visited Banff.
Hi Nancy, Alaska must be a beautiful place to live? This time of year I remember is good in Calgary, nice and green before it gets rather hot and brown in the summer. I used to know one or two breeders of dogs when we lived there, one friend bred Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, and another bred Keeshonden. We used to show our Keeshond at that time. My husband worked in Canmore near Banff for a few years. Happy days!
Hello Diane, of all of the watercolor artists, I am drawn to yours the most. I think it is because of your particular style and doodling. I love all of the activity happening in each of your pieces. They are fun and fascinating to me. I also love you being open with us, sharing your life with us. Speaking of it, I considered it super thoughtless of the people who had COVID to still meet with you without letting you know first. YIKES! I would have been thoroughly upset about it. I actually like both the flowers you painted/drawn and the fish painting which you cut up. Because of you, I added new materials to my collection. I mainly do acrylic paintings as I prefer the practical application of decorating things. But I love how the watercolors easily blend together and I love how you come up with these amazing fun paintings. Thank you for this. And, thank you for giving us honest opinions of the materials you use. So, where exactly do you live? By the way, I know that our purpose here is to create, but the creating spoken of by the "energy essences" (Jesus in A course in Miracles, Seth (Jane Roberts), Abraham (Jerry and Esther Hicks)) are actually our thought/belief creations. We create all of the time through our thoughts and beliefs, so even a simple task like ironing is creating. Personally, though, I will take painting over most other things, especially fun paintings like yours. Thank you.
Hi Malgozata, thanks so much for your interesting comments! So glad you enjoy the videos and have found watercolor to be a pleasure x My daughter and I have been reading A Course in Miracles for several years now and what you say is obviously true, it’s not necessarily easy to put across in an art tutorial though, so I tend to keep things a bit more neutral! Thanks again for your support and kindness xx
@@DianeAntoneStudio Hi Diane. You are welcome. So glad that you are reading ACIM (A course in Miracles). FYI, the original, unabridged, genuine version of a course of miracles is: Urtext manuscript version and, newly published, "Circle of Atonement" version. If you are interested, Seth books, channeled by Jane Roberts, especially, "The Eternal Validity of the Soul," "The nature of personal reality," and "The Individual and The Mass Events." explain the existence from a different perspective, actually quite technical. I studied ACIM for years and years. The only thing is that I felt pressured into doing things and forgiveness and I kind of felt like I did when I studied the Bible. That's why I am giving it a break while studying other energy essences channeled through physical human beings. So far, I like Seth the best. Although, once I studied Seth, Abraham (Jerry and Esther Hicks) has some useful, practical applications, actually similar to ACIM's lessons, but not as structured. Speaking of practical, as far as health is concerned, there is a scientific application done by Emile Coue (check him out on wikipedia, if you can) , who, found the same principles simply by researching science. I.e., he has really very practical and useful technics. His focus is health but there are all around techniques. Very simple, very practical. Here's the full "book" with text, lectures, testimonies and even letters from medical doctors: archive.org/details/selfmasterythro00amergoog/page/n5/mode/1up?view=theater There is a version of it on youtube, but incomplete. I recommend the book. His printed books are not as complete as this one, online. In essence, all of these books and teachers teach the same thing, but from their own perspective/personality. Best wishes, Eve (my actual name)
Hi Eve, I have just received your message that you sent 2 months ago - don’t know why YT had withheld it from us for so long. Apologies for that. I’m sure you must have thought I was rude x I heard of Coue back in the 1970s but I have never looked into him, so I’m going to do that right now. Thanks so much for your thoughts, really appreciate it!
love your colour choice. I make soap and have used variants of these colours they always work well together.. love the flowers would love to print fabric to use in a quilt. keep up the good work. cheers bronwyn

Thank you. Absolutely stunning. Love your work. Learned so much. The combination of paint and pen is great for me too. Freedom and detail. Opposites that are me. ❤

💕🌸😊
Gorgeous floral painting 🖼️ I love seeing all the steps ❤
You have a similar bird video that is one of the first things I tried when I picked up my brushes again!
Hi Diane! Ignore all the critics! They are probably jealous of your talent!! Please don't stop making your videos. You have such a wonderful and creative way of painting.
Oh I will definitely ignore the critics! I’m far too old to care any more!!!
The leaves with the yellow ochre fading into the light purple is lovely.
Thank you! Messy painter!!
Oh, yes, in those days it was much harder work, I believe. This is child’s play by comparison!
Thank you for sharing. I like your water marks and your rambling chatter. It makes me feel like you're talking to me. I've been enjoying painting and using ink marks lately myself. I would like to learn more about the gelly plates though. Thanks again!
Thanks Janis, coming soon!
I love it! Beautiful and I love the doodling! Wonderful colors! Thank you for your creativity, Diane💖
Thanks Bonnie!!
I just discovered Allison’s channel last night….love her work
I love the freeness of the first painting . It's funky and fun!
Thanks so much Jeanne, it often happens that the practice one is the best!
Thank you! ❤️
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and kind words ❤️
Диана! Вы моё вдохновение! 🥰
Thank you.
Great idea Sherry and I’m so glad you’re enjoying the channel!
I really enjoyed this video. Love the colors, the enhancement using black and white inks, and really enjoy your stories!
Diane, you are such a gift to us! 💕
Hi Diane from a wet and windy Wales! I’ve never attempted this style of painting before, but after watching your poppy tutorial I’m really loving it 😊 I enjoy it mainly because you don’t have to be a fantastic drawer to achieve great results ❤
Thanks for livelessons and again a beauty painting ❤
Hi Diane,
I have been making jelly plate 'art' for about six or seven years now. Although I began with acrylic, I saw Tracy doing some with watercolour at one of the art and craft shows that I used to visit. There are many different things you can use on jelly plates so just go for it. If you don't try you will never know whether it will be a success. Just have fun.
Thank you for your kind words! Thanks for being a part of my artistic journey!
I loved the tutorial Diane and the colours are truly beautiful. Thankyou for a great painting with all your great ideas and wisdom.xx
Thanks Vivienne! Your encouragement motivates me to continue sharing my passion for watercolor painting with others.
Daine, I enjoy your chatty information/conversation. I feel like I'm in the room with you🥰
Love the coloe combo! Turned out beautifully!
Yes, you probably did have Covid. My bad days were with difficult breathing. 💕💕
I like to revisit some of your previous videos - they are so engaging and I love the outcome
You are amazing!
I loved the 3 birds video! I followed along and was so happy with my results. I’ve been working in my doodling and tend to overthink it. You make it look easy, but I’m definitely going to give it a go 😉
Have fun!
I love this palette. It's unusual and refreshing and I'm going to try it out!
Love your free and easy style with the whimsical doodles!!! My style is a lot tighter and controlled when I’m at my best but I ‘m not always there. Watching you is so refreshing and when I “copy” your style it improves my style!!! Win Win!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
That’s really good to hear Ellen, so glad you’re having fun!
What fun! I’m definitely going to get my paints out this afternoon.
My pleasure 😊 you won’t get rid of me that easy!
Very pretty and I love the colors. Thanks ❤
It is just lovely! When you do florals like this, I think they would make beautiful fabric! ❤
And I think it would make a very nice 1960s mini-dress!
I found Allison a couple of days ago myself. I attempted doing something like her work yesterday, and I failed miserably. I love the pen and wash look. It’s a fabulous look! Thanks for rescuing your "ugly" painting in such a masterful way.
Thanks Angie, you’ll enjoy it and it’s pretty easy! Allison is very new, I hope she finds her audience!
Yes gellie plate tutorials would be great. ❤
Definitely like the color combo!
I love love love this! I can do this....I'll certainly try anyway. Just blobs of color and shapes. I'm enjoying learning this style. Tfs😀
very cool - love the color combination, details w/ pens etc!
Love the color. Looks like so much fun.
Thank you for making the sketches available!
You’re so welcome Linda! Enjoy!
Gorgeous! Love the colors.
Thank you Diane so much for this video.
Lovely painting! TFS ❣️💙
Absolutely brilliant! I do believe this is my favorite of your paintings. Love to watch the progression from one stage to the next. Thank you so much!
Oh, thanks so much Gemma, that’s really kind of you! I was very unsure about the chances of that one working out, but I like it too - thanks for choosing it!
I’ve watched this several times and keep coming back to it. Love it so much!
When I first started watching you do this multimedia with the pens I suddenly felt free! I didn’t have to make flowers and leave look like flowers and leaves! I could make my blobs look wonderful!❤
You are so welcome! I felt the same way, FREEE!
@ 🥰
Lovely painting, I love the colors you choose for your painting. I also enjoy listening to you talk and the stories you share!
Thanks D!!
I have YOU to Thank for lots of cute bird n tree pictures around the house!! xx

Que bonita composición 👌 los colores y tonos magníficos. Gracias por tus vídeos🤗👍👍👍👏
So glad you enjoyed it, thanks so much for commenting x
Oh thank you! So glad you like this one - I agree, it has that 70s look for sure!
I actually did it today. it was really enjoyable. thanks again.@@DianeAntoneStudio
I am inspired by your technique and your stories. Thank you for sharing
Thanks so much Saralyn, I really appreciate that!
I watched your tutorial on the Gelli Plate. I bought one that same day and took it on vacation with me. I used watercolor with the liquid soap as you did and it turned out great. Sandy from Ohio. I love your tutorials!!! Thank you
Glad it was helpful! So glad you tried it out!
I love the colour combo. One of my favourite outfits from quite a few years ago was turquoise and purple.
I look forward to seeing the gelli plate demo with water colours.
Yes! It was all the rage in the 90s and Tamsin was reminiscing about a ski jacket she had in those colors!!
Love the colors and style. Must try with my new paints. Thanks D ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, get those brushes wet Dizzy!
❤ amazing fun project
Fanna
Thank you.
LOL! Thanks Cindy, I really appreciate your support and your kind words xx
Love your colour combination 😊
So pretty! Never thought to paint “Ugly”. Lol! I’m going to give this a try! Thanks for not quitting!
Really like this process. Anxious to get out my paints and try something like this
Hope you do it and have great fun!
You make me laugh. I too get to the stage and want give up and do the ironing, cooking, cleaning. But you give me permission to carry on past the ugly stage. Glad I listened. 🌸🌼
Absolutely Beautiful. I love the colors.
Thank you! 😊
@@DianeAntoneStudio you’re very welcome.
Love your authenticity! I am a newbie and so have lots of “bin material”. What I have started to do is cut out any parts of a disaster that I like. After collecting several I am going to make a collage of them in a journal.
Brilliant idea, have fun!
Love this combination
Thanks Janet!
Love it Dianne, you gave me inspiration and made my heart sing ……. Thank you 🙏🏻💜😍
You are so welcome Deirdre, so glad you enjoyed it!
@@DianeAntoneStudio I had a heart attack 2 months ago and I’ve not felt like painting since…… you inspired me and tomorrow I plan to get my paints out and paint some nice bright flowers and finish them off with your black pen technique. Thank you X 💜 X
I love your leaves and strive to make mine like yours only to fail miserably. Love this idea and will give it a try. Thank you for the inspiration.
I find it easiest to say before I start “I am going to paint the worst painting I’ve ever painted.” Then you will relax and you never know what might happen!
So much fun and I love it That is my favourite thing to do
Love the colors! Very pretty.
Thank you! Cheers!
It is beautiful! 😍🙏
Ive been watching some Allison videos lately too!❤
Oh what a beautiful color combination, (I LOVE turquoise and purple together!) and I did so enjoy watching you paint and do the ink embellishments and hear you share your day. I'm so sorry about your possible exposure to COVID!!! That awful virus has sure created a lot of stress and strife for so many many people!!!! I pray you will be all right, and I suspect you will be good... you are GOOD, and that's the truth!!!!
Thanks Jeanie, fingers crossed, and you are toooo kind xxx
That’s a good idea about the rubber bands Danielle, I will get some and put them in a handy place x
Thanks so much Mary, so glad you are enjoying the channel! Thanks for the support and reminding me of the reason I paint blobby leaves LOL LOL!)
Here's the full "book" with text, lectures, testimonies and even letters from medical doctors:
archive.org/details/selfmasterythro00amergoog/page/n5/mode/1up?view=theater
There is a version of it on youtube, but incomplete. I recommend the book. His printed books are not as complete as this one, online.
In essence, all of these books and teachers teach the same thing, but from their own perspective/personality.
Best wishes,
Eve (my actual name)
Hi Eve, I have just received your message that you sent 2 months ago - don’t know why YT had withheld it from us for so long. Apologies for that. I’m sure you must have thought I was rude x I heard of Coue back in the 1970s but I have never looked into him, so I’m going to do that right now. Thanks so much for your thoughts, really appreciate it!
love your colour choice. I make soap and have used variants of these colours they always work well together.. love the flowers would love to print fabric to use in a quilt. keep up the good work. cheers bronwyn
Thanks Bronwyn, one day I’ll look into the fabric idea!
My Meedan paints arriving Monday Diane you are costing me a fortune just got the Kuretake nouveau set lol❤
Oh go on, you know you love it! I’ll be getting the Art Nouveau out for a workout soon!
