I love how positive you are. I never hear you telling anyone what they “should” do nor what they “shouldn’t” do or use. It’s very easy to learn from someone who’s so accepting. And your beautiful accepting heart shines through in your artwork especially your beautiful whimsical style designs.
    Thank you 🙏🏽

I love your approach and I have have found it great therapy through a tough time to just create with watercolours and doodling. Think I will have this as an ongoing hobby. Hi Diane. I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful inspirational classes. If only there had been someone around years ago who had taught in the way you do. Life would have been different. I might have believed I could draw and paint. I shall never be a great artist but just love the fact that one does not have to aspire to this and that there are so many other ways of enjoying the process without being brilliant. I look forward so much, to all your classes and particularly enjoyed quirky birds.
Long may you continue and thank you so much again. Carol

Hi Carol, thanks so much for your touching comment and for sharing your thoughts. I know what you mean about feeling you’d missed the boat - the same happened to me and I never quite connected with the right teacher. It was a long and arduous journey to get to where I could get pleasure from painting. I’m only too happy to be able to share the little I know with you guys. So glad. You enjoyed the little birds - they have brought a lot of relaxation into the world in their funny little way! Have fun and enjoy the journey ! Xxx

Diane, these cards are so pretty and delicate and have that vintage flair I love! It's pure joy watching you sketch and paint. I'm glad you always leave time in your videos to show you removing the tape from your paintings. It's one of the most gratifying parts for me once I've finished a painting. As for my own paintings, sometimes I'm not sure if I'm really satisfied with one of my paintings until I remove the tape. It allows me to view it with a clearer lens showing the contrast framing the painting. Thank you for a lovely tutorial.

Paint if you can’t draw…for me it’s the other way around. Thanks to Shayda Campbell, I can draw a bit. However, I’m pretty useless at painting. Ink and wash works best for me. I like drawing over a painted background. Most of my pens are a brand called uni Pin. I have sepia, grey and black. They seem to work well over paint. I also have Pigma brush pens in black and brown. They definitely work over paint.
