Guilliman would pull up and tinker with the ring and then later when it is fired every fat chick in the galaxy is transmogrified into big tiddy eldar goth girls
I doubt a mechanicus exploratory fleet could destroy a Halo ring because once they are deemed a threat the ringworlds anti-ship defenses would come online and it would be a similar conventional threat to the necron world engine. It would probably take an imperial crusade or an intervention by the space marines to take it down but I can also see it jumping across the galaxy in search of a human willing to fire the ring too.
That's fair, I suppose I might've underestimated the rings defence systems. I still see it being destroyed if not by the exploratory fleet then by other stronger forces like you say an Astartes attack force, but as for the battles they fight and the losses they suffer that could be a whole video in and of itself
Chief kind of just got lucky (A normal thing for him) that he could use the Pillar of Autumn, as otherwise it took The Flood to use neural physics to destroy the Greater Halo Array
@@nobleman9393 They weren't actively trying to destroy the rings either dude. The Covenant view anything built by the Forerunners as sacred, and will actively fight to defend it. Sentinels will attack them, but that's more because they're trying to access stuff that is 'Reclaimer only' and all that
Technically, Guilty Spark is an uploaded human conciousness, not an A.I., which ironically actually makes him the end goal of the mechanicus. The less heretical Mechanicus members would definitely accuse him of being an A.I. though and try to kill him.
Tyranids proceed to just evolve new types of nervous systems. If Sgt Johnson can be immune to infection from an augmentation program then Tyranids really don't have to do that much. At that point it's just normal attrition and the flood are basically stuck with pure forms. And all that's besides that unlike with other races the Flood can't really make use of Tyranid ranged weapons on account of them being alive as well as drawing nutrients from the user and under the Hive minds control. This is kind of just a general rant but as much as I love the Halo games people fanboy the Flood far to hard and pull the destroyed forerunners card a bit to liberally considering it was betrayal that let them do it.
Nah it would be the other way around. *Flood develops psyker skills after devouring enough of them, then all he can ever hear, forever is: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" (The Shadow in the Warp) The HiveMind is very likely a warp god, just far too alien to need or want to interact with the 'traditional' chaos gods.
I definitely agree that an encounter with a Halo ring in 40k would more than likely end in its destruction. I also think that, depending on how much time the Biologis are able to study the Flood(you know, before everything involving the Flood goes disastrously wrong), there's a 50/50 chance that the Flood may just get lumped in as a new Tyranid bioform. Theres also the fact that, if any of the survivors were paying attention, the Mechanicus now knows that there's six more of these facilities scattered about that they need to find and potentially also destory. Though money says that one of the Halo rings is in Trazyn's collection. I would also love to see what Guilty Spark's reaction the an Astartes would be. Anyway, a very interesting story.
I could totally see Trazyn going out of his way to collect the whole ring. I would love to see a conversation between him and the monitor, just imagine the sass between them
Based on information I know the Flood's capabilities are by far more lethal and also more powerful exponentially then the Tyranids Hivemind. Unlike the Hivemind you cannot cut off the Gravemind's powerful connection to it's forms. And unlike them they utilize and process the knowledge it gains on a far more potent fundemental level. And it doesn't forget. And even in defeat it will return in due time and remember everything that came before. And it also absorbs the Halo versions of souls to the point the Forerunners failed trying to bring a infected subject's mind back into a uninfected form. And when you add the Domain and Neural physics the Flood's true adapted peak before it reaches it's absolute limitation would be terrible to imagine and behold. The Tyranids would be wise to just annihilate that accursed precursor particle once they detect it before it infects them overtime.
if spark had said chosen instead of children, and would have explained he isa digitized mind instead of artificialy created, things wouldhave gone better.
mankind being the chosen inheritors of the galaxy, and spark being a digitized ancient human instead of an artificialy spawned mind, would fit the imperiums narrative much better.
Oh dear God no the adeptus mechanicus would find a way to accidentally fire it and take a big chunk of the imperiam out of play permanently. I think there are few things that would be worse to let the adeptus mechanicus fuck around with then a halo ring
I mean, unless it happened in a manner like in Halo 2 where there was a previous attempt but cancelled prematurely... They would have activated the ENTIRE array from that one ring. The Ark's activation sequence is just a failsafe incase the Flood compromised one ring and prevented the full array from firing
@@Furydragonstormer But is there an array at all, or is it just the one halo ring? I'm going to assume it's a single halo ring, which could certainly take out a very large portion of space around it, but isn't nearly as big of a problem for the universe as a whole. Remember, this video is about a single halo ring finding it's way into the warhammer universe.

I think this is intersting but I wonder what would happen if you went with Bungie Forerunner were human, I think the admech would see this as a Dark Age of Tech, if 343 told them it was human made.
if the monitor explains the ring world designated human dna as the "reclaimers" and would be allowed to use against the flood, admek would still see it as heresy as their knowledge only goes back to early 29th millennium. having humanity go BILLIONS of years back would drive the cogboys permanently insane and give the kill order to ALL of the Imperuim! at this point; Big E, please, WAKE UP! Go God-mode and stop them screw for brains for being Pre-fall Eldar!!!
Flood is basically the remains of the precursors which might as well have been full power C'tan woth over 10 billion years of technological and civilizational advancement. Did i mention the forerunners used warcrimes avainst the precursors and drove them mad before killing them all? And the flood are the high functioning insane left overs? It's basically the same as the most boble docile creatures after being tortured becoming the most paranoid, terrified and bloodthirsty super herbivore.

That sure is interesting. After watching a 'Could covenant survive in wh40k' video by PancreasNoWork I wondered further how these two universes could interact. That made me interested in how other popular universes would fare against wh40k, and suprisingly...there is a few that would bring interesting results. Starcraft for example, specifically between Heart of the Swarm, and Legacy of the Void. You have the Terran Dominion ruled by Valerian. Their technology could easily allow them to fight the imperials into a stalemate, much like the Tau. Mechanicus would be excited for the prospect of living accient human technology, not some relics, no scraps, living and used. But all it would take to turn the terrans against the Imperium, would be just a single wondering trader forcefully taking control of a simple outer colony like Haven. Our Xelnaga shapeshifter Narud would adjust his plans to revive Amon, he could take forms of important people in the imperium, Like an ordo xenos inquisitor, or a highly regarded magos biologis priest, to continiue the newly upgraded Hybrid program in secret. Kerrigan would sent her zerg against him to kill the fucker, which would mean murdering a couple billion more civilian lives. Imagine tyranids but stupidly faster and quicker to adapt. Like, on the fucking battlefield, in the matter of hours, already improving. And the protoss...uhh, the protoss... Picture yourself a race with physical capabilities much alike or better in certain regards from astartes, with a psychic talents and power of Eldar, and technological marvels rivaling those of the necrons. And of course, since it's 40k, their Khala would imprint itself in the warp, creating a new entity with the power greater than any eldar god, while also being continiusly empowered. A.K.A, not vurnurable to the chaos gods, making the Khalai protoss invincible to their corruption.
Fun fact Starcraft was going to be a 40k game but Blizzard couldn't get the IP so they made what it actually is instead that's why you can easily compare the factions in Starcraft to 40k ones mainly the imperium, eldar, and tyranids. The same was going to be the case with the first Warcraft game being based on warhammer fantasy
Just googled this Terran Republic from starcraft... it's roughly a dozen solar systems with baseline human conscripts in fisher price power armor. Their guns are pretty sick ngl but 12 solar systems is beyond a joke. The Empire from Star Wars would roll over them, the Forerunners from Halo wouldn't even need to stand up in that fight but for some reason 28 people think they can hang in 40k?... Lemme know how it goes when the entirety of the Terran Republic gets dragged into the warp (hell) for 3000 years. And for the record the only reason the Tau still even exist in 40k is because they are at the very, very bottom of a long list of threats. The Tau own roughly 5% of the galaxy and can in no way shape or form fight the imperium to a stalemate. Google 40k galaxy map 10th edition if you want to see
@@banneduser5187 Yeah the T'au were able to fend off a crusade and the Imperium decided it wasn't worth attacking them because they had bigger issues to deal with that they didn't want to funnel resources away from. It's a running theme in 40k that the Imperium has too many enemies to deal with to be able to stop and focus on eliminating just one because the others would tear them apart.
@@l0sts0ul89 they'd be amazing on a battlefield. far, far better than even the most potent 40k psykers since they can just instantly spawn pretty much anything on demand. Merely touching things or having a bad thought is all it takes. Apart from that they'd roll over everything in combat
The Flood bear many resemblances to Tyranids on the surface, but there are two main points to worry about. For one, the setting has the Tyrannids as a massive and established power, something that has to be managed and contained rather than outright eliminated, because focusing all of your strength on eliminating them in their entirety is only going to leave your flanks bare to attack. The Flood on the other hand, depending on the point of intriduction, more often than not have them start out as Flood spores. All spores have the ability to tap into their hive mind intelligence, but they have to work up to that level. In the start of their plague, they are very weak. The second relates to the first; while the 'nids begin as a stronger faction, one progress begins the Flood are by several orders of magnitude more scary. The Tyranids react to strength. The Flood outright steals strength. That cog boy? Once absorbed, the Flood knows how to run imperial machines. And Sigmar help the imperium should the Flood absorb a chapter apothecary and learn how astartes gene seed works. Granted, the Flood have a long way to go to work up from Flood spores to a proto-Gravemind, but once it assembles itself, that's when the danger truly begins for the galaxy. There's no spreading themselves too thing as they can just rain spores down on a continent and and turn the populace to their side. It's the zombie method of propagation; one begets one, two begets four begets eight begets sixteen and you get the idea. Prior to the manifestation of a proto-Gravemind is the only chance the factions in the setting have to eliminate the threat for good. At 11:30, you do make a slight mistake with the monitor's assessment, or just knowledge of the Halo ring. Yes, one Halo ring can wipe out all life in the galaxy, except for Necrons, people in the Warp, and possibly Tyranids depending on personal headcanon relating to how close in design they are to the Flood. The thing is that is the Halo Ring's highest power setting. Yes, it can eliminate all life in the galaxy, but its power can also be reduced to something as small as a single planet or solar system. It's in the Forerunner trilogy, not the games, but the rings are just stupidly OP weapons on par with the Necron Celestial Orrary.
Hate to be the nerd in the room but "akchually" Nids also steal Strength, they adapt based on biomass that they consume to better fight it's pray. A lot of the early seen Nids didn't have any weapons that resembled fire arms, that's something they adapted from encountering species that used them upon entering the 40k Galaxy. Also their scale really needs to be put into perspective since they not only surround the galaxy, the current tendrils everyone is fighting are barely scouting fleets. Flood is very much a snowball threat where once it starts rolling not only will you not be able to stop it, it just gets bigger. Nids are that snowball but having already rolled over who knows how many others, already gargantuan in size and based on the few Psykers that managed to tap into the Hivemind for a moment without going insane they were able to tell that the Tyrannids feel "hate" It's not so much that they're just blindly eating, the Hive is intelligent and if they wanted to communicate they very much could... They just don't want to. They hate us for some unknown reason. Who's to say that they aren't as intelligent as a Flood infestation in it's final evolution? (This is speculation from my part but I wouldn't be surprised if the Tyrannids had a similar backstory to the Flood where their origins are from some remnant of the "Ancient Ones" who seek revenge after the Necrons and C'tan genocided them by turning into a biological terror.) I actually find the Flood and Nids to be very much almost the same type of threat just in different stages of evolution and with different methods but ultimately using similar ideas. -Flood are space zombies that hijack bodies and evolve fast, learning from it's prey. -Nids are space bugs that eat and evolve fast, learning from it's prey. What the setting of 40k is currently facing with the Nids is essentially the equivalent of what it'd look like if the Flood managed to consume a whole galaxy and was making it's way to a new one, with it's mere scouting fleets being so deadly it already makes it like it could not possibly get worse. The Tyrannids do not become contained, at best they can be temporarily repelled. Inquisitors studying the Nids have come to the conclusion that the Imperium simply doesn't have enough man power, enough guns, enough tanks of any sort to properly stop the Hive mind at full force. The only reason I do consider Flood to be slightly more terrifying is because they don't just eat you and absorb any useful memories or biological components from you. The Flood is lot more personal and methodically rip your very memories from you while you're still aware but unable to do anything about it.
I like how you're trynna 1 up 40k. Like reading all of that it just seems like you only read the tip of the iceberg. But in all honesty and reality can the flood be a threat in 40k?, yes can they rule the galaxy? No. One of the best reasons is because of the use FTL if the flood take over the ship they won't be able to be protected from the warp and thats because the daemons and entities will tear the ship apart since the ghellar fields will not be up for the flood. Reason why I'm saying this is because the ghellar fields are used by dreaming pyskers plugged into the ship to make the ghellar field, if the psykers are turned they won't be able to make that ghllear field since the flood are just rotting zombie bodies. And you know if they do go into the warp well they're gonna get killed by the lost n damned souls and daemons. And the only way for the flood to travel will be the old fashion way which is drift in space and hopefully they don't starve before they make it to another place
@@Blazegraze12 i mean it wouldn't work cause when the eldar die physically their mind and soul gets transfered to the soul stones. Idea: What if neural physics is similar enough to whatever Chaos/the Warp is made of? Enough that the Halo ring can effect the Warp the same way it effected neural physics constructs. And then the Necrons realize it.
I mean, the rings are the perfect weapon against the warp. By killing everyone. Like instantly. The warp would get flooded, then recede as all life is vaporized in the galaxy.
@@nonya1366 My point is more what if it can simply KILL the warp. I mean not in the same way it starved the flood, but literally be able to destroy the "warp material" it is made of, similar to what it did to neural physics contructs.
@@kanadashyuugo873 The warp is otherwise known as a realm of souls, it's a subdimension that is overlayed atop of the material world. You'd have to make the rings destroy souls themselves to effectively damage the warp. And that might have. Side effects. From what I understand, the halo rings merely deletes your spine and central nervous system. And then you die. But not technically removing souls itself. But it's still funny if all it does is remove the warps 'food'.
@@nonya1366 And since nobody knows what the Warp ACTUALLY is, if it's actually the "central nervous system" of our galaxy, well, *poof* Just like how Halo lore never went into much detail WHAT neural physics actually is, since the one and only remnant of that tech is the Domain.
@@kanadashyuugo873 Well, we know the halo rings specifically destroys the central nervous system of everything within the halo range to starve out the flood. Which I'm guessing was interwoven with certain aspects of the neural physics. It has Neural in the name. Without a central nervous system, the flood doesn't have anything to 'latch' onto. Which is why that works how it does. I'd presume, if the forerunners were in 40k .They'd make a new superweapon to destroy the warp. As we know that the warp manipulation can be found in genetics [human psykers, eldar psykers, tyranid psykers ork psykers, etc] it wouldn't be that much of a stretch for the forerunners to bend that particular aspect over their knee and spank it, but the problem arises when the warp, keeps going despite it. As even humans without any psyker potential still have souls, as evidenced by them being violently pulled out and them dying, as well as Nulls existing. And, since further most people can identify a null [for a lack of a better word of identifying, they usually go the way of the mutant...Mobbed and hanged.] by sight, hearing, smell, and the ilk. There is a quantifiable 'soul' that can be found within living things, and quantifiably removed. But. You can have a thing that has zero connection to any living thing, and that thing can be a warp artifact. A knife that killed a trillion people, or a rock that was worshipped by people a trillion miles away and never having actually seen it up close. Both are viable warp relics, as technically speaking. You can make **Anything** A god by providing enough raw faith. tldr: It's a new branch of metaphysics that the forerunners rip to shreds in an evening and simply retunes the halo arrays, but the halo arrays would have to be retuned to select "Soul energy" instead of "Spinal cords"

I feel the mechanicus are going to be the best equipped human 40k faction to handle the flood. A lot of them especially high ranked members are heavily augmented to a degree where I doubt infection forms are going to be a issue. Skitarii are in the same camp. I’d also imagine that radiation weapons and phosphor weapons are going to stop the flood. The mechanicus are also not stupid enough to not do a sweep of there ships. The discovery of a HALO ring would be a “shit your pants moment” for the imperium. A massive galaxy wide WMD would be taken as a priority one threat. A exploration fleet would be entirely helpless if it desired to destroy it, as the rings defenses would just absolutely obliterate any imperium vessel. Keep in mind the Forunners are themselves arguably more powerful than that of the Necrons with the crazy shit they built. There would be a massive debate raging regards to the Mechanicus whether to find a way to destroy it or study it, as the ring is technically xenos but as it requires a human to activate it , it would puzzle the tech priests. Abbadon along with the Eldar and Necrons would quickly catch wind of such a weapon and send their own forces. Abbadon especially would invest heavily in trying to capture it while the Eldar would try to prevent any faction from having it except themselves. Anyone who has the HALO ring would essentially have an instant “I win button” Then there’s the flood, if the flood is released then it can quickly become a galaxy wide extinction level event that not even the Necrons or Tyranids would be able to stop. I honestly see it as a Dawn of War scenario where every major faction(except maybe Tau) are fighting to control the ring. The Flood is released, alliances are formed to stop the parasite from spreading, only to have the heroes activate and destroy the ring self destruction style, wiping out the flood in the process.
"Alliances formed to stop the parasite" Hahaha! That's going to be impossible given how things are in 40k. We'd maybe see minor scale between a handful of officers and such, but to the scale of the entire Imperium with another? Not happening, the extensive xenophobia and division across the entire galaxy will be the reason the Flood would win. Heck, the Flood would even use this against them, especially the Imperium as if it reveals the right information, it can bring them down into purely infighting (How many actively get away with heretical actions by just being smart enough to hide them from the rest?)
Flood is not parasites. The flood is the precursors, fuckers are immortal in the way that matters. Kust look up Halo precursors to find how bullshit they were back when they had bodies, and remember they still know their entire cultural, historical, and technological base and every tech tree they had.
The tyranids would see it as a threat and create anti flood defendses. Unless the flood reaches key mind stage they woudnt stand a chance. Tyranids are just better at adapting.
I’m 8m into the vid and the situation seems a bit silly. Assuming the ring is working as intended, the monitor would have known pretty much everything about the people on the ring before they arrived. The rings secondary defenses has a range in light years, the monitor would feel their footsteps through the halls. And it would have shot them down since it wouldn’t have detected anyone with a geas
Something id like to know is how a flood infection form would interract with a follower of Nurgle. Would the follower be taken over or would they be protected by Nurgle considering it is an infection?
it's a parasite, if it cannot influence the host, it can override the motor functions, take it to more suitable hosts, transform into a carrier form, and explode into more carrier forms to seek more suitable hosts, then turn around and ignore the Nurgle infected. that is if it avoids carrying the Nurgle disease to the new hosts.
Depends. If nurgle cares enough to want them dead he can easly create a plague that kills the flood. They flood are to my knowledge not immune to sickness. Like the tyranids you can create anti bodies that will just kill flood spores on contact. But that would require nurgle to care enough to stop his work on the ultimate plague to come up with a counter to what would seem at first a minnor anoyance.

Mechanicus like to study xenos tech. AdMech explorator parties plumbing the depths of necron Tomb Worlds to fawn over their tech is a trope at this point. On the Ring they'd destroy the AI and then study it until the Flood came and/or the drones became hostile, at which point they'd obliterate it.
@BigMikeMcBastard nah that more of a meme than a constant. In most books, they don't mess with xenos tech to much because, a. It's heresy (even for admech). 2. It could get them purged. 3. Admechs, for the most part, are somewhat aware of what AI is and how dangerous it is. Take a quick example of Brutal Cunning. The ad mechs literally were going to watch the city burn rather than use an experimental titan because heresy. The admech religion gives them more play, but something as big as a halo ring will be destroyed. The whole mechs in necrom tombs are a meme like Kreigers and shovels. Does it happen yes, but is a Krieg gonna use a shovel instead of a gun or sword no. TLDR nuh uh. Lol :p

The flood seeing the excavation ships sneak aboard all it takes is one infection form. the flood form enters a hibernating state on board on the ship slowly spreading spores. 3 hours since initial flood boarding. spores are slowly entering the air waves and ducts of the ship the inhabitance of the ship is not infected immediately rather the flood are methodically waiting for a time to strike. as a large body of ship starts experiencing a cough soon a few servitors begging acting erratically. The officers of the ship begin the notice issues with the crew they will investigate. 9 hours since initial flood boarding the flood sensing that it will be discovered attacks transforming many of the crew into vile abominations of Grotesk fleshy forms. 10 hours since initial flood boarding fighting is sporadic all the across the ship the flood has cut off communications and jumped into the warp without warning. the flood is desperately infecting everyone they can. 13 hours since initial flood boarding the ship is quiet not a peep not a sound only the skittering fleshy forms can be heard. on a hive world an imperial guard walks his patrol route thinking of ways to kill his commissar he looks into the night sky nothing but empty void pitch black with the moon only lighting the sky like an angel guarding the night. until clouds moved as a ship enters out of the warp its long-erected shape now blocking the moon The fall of the galaxy has the begun.
The spread is presumably severely slowed down due to the Navigator being eaten, and having to reverse engineer some warp capable transportation. Not to mention the flood -might- lose to the warp, due to the fact that the flood lacks a similar defense to the warp as the tyranid hivemind. Further, the airducts of an imperial ship being interconnected while practical, doesn't always happen. Ironically sometimes not even intentionally- There is a slew of ships with interior designs to be hostile to boarding craft. Further, the mechanicus have a unique resistance to the flood- at least in certain numbers. As their spines have been regrafted and replanted. A infection form might get slowed down, something a flesh hating tech priest might slam the panic button on. And that tech priest would have to be infected. As most of the crew knows jack and shit about...Basically all of their technology. Servitors are brain nulled effectively, so they lack much information. That and, a lot of imperials tend to have a knee jerk 'explode the ship' before allowing it into enemy hands.
@@rihno4046 Eldar depends on variation. Craftworlder would probably have a farseer see into the future about the space plague, the average farseer warrior would spinkick the spore out of the air without much trouble, and would only really get in trouble if they hit the enemy force in number. But if they get overrun, the situation is going to worsen akin to if the flood had eaten Forerunner. Long stockpiles of memory. The craftworlders have to jump paths to stay sane but the gravemind will simply get multiclassed in a very short order. And they'd probably use their own world ship to tow the halo ring into the webway. Since "hey free craftworld." Dark eldar might find a way to torture flood forms by deliberately infected ""Labourers"" ala Mona Lisa, as being infected is a great agony and the dark eldar aren't above playing chicken with the universe for a quick snack. And the laughing god goof troupe would tell a joke so funny, the gravemind would laugh before they synchronized blackflip so hard the ring began to spin, before. I'd imagine after turning off gravity at just the right point so the ring becomes a centrifuge. Then use some Eldar Fuckery to make it keep the momentum, so that no one can leave the ring, but people can get trapped on the ring. Then they'd drop it off somewhere funny. Ironically, chaos might get along with the space plague if nurgle finds it. And we'd get to find out if the people in the flood hivemind keep their souls. But worse case scenario is the tyranids. Whoever wins that one. Everyone else loses. The tyranids either eat the flood by sheer attrition, mutate to utilize the flood's adaptations and proceed to 360 no scope the galaxy faster then you can say "Wait what do you mean the forerunners are still in the gravemind?" Or, the flood eats that hive fleet, proceeds to adapt even killier warrior forms, probably make their infection form into a gun, and utilizes the mass mind to become a psyker entity, complete with shadow in the warp. The gravemind already has telepathy it wouldn't be that large of a leap. I'd imagine the gravemind would use it's power to simply command people to leap into the hive.
@@casematecardinal The flood is already psychic. The gravemind simply didn't use it to incapacitate [besides slowing the player down to a crawl] at any time. It will doom people. But it's also tiring and liable of burning out the navi, but more importantly. The armsmen would buy enough time by virtue of basically all being armed with Heat Based Weapons, long enough for either the captain or the chief enginseer to slap the explosive. If not executed by their handlers with a bolt round to the head. But if he is captured and the flood re-engineers the genes, the galaxy is Fucked.
i wonder would 40k human dna allow the same access that human dna allows in the halo universe, also, the flood and tyrranid would make for comparable threats and the ring could likely be used to study the tyrranid, you can not convince me that the tyrranid would be harder to contain than the flood
I reckon the only thing to truly challenge the Flood would be either Tyrannids, or Khorn’s Daemons. The others are just as susceptible to the parasite and I think Nurgle might just embrace the Flood because of its nature.
It's a big shame that the original concept of thw Forerunners being intended to be humans in the vision and narrative of Bungie was completely erased by 343 Industries. Imagined if they heard the Forerunners were Ancient Humans far before even the Dark Age of Technology and Earth in general. That would have been interesting. As for more Halo constructs if one were to appear in Warhammer 40k that would be the most shocking in sheer scale and implications that would make even the Necrons be perplexed, it would be the Halo metaphysical information gathering contruct known as the Domain. Created by the Precursors. If any Mechanicus guy were to expose themselves to this large ocean of information and so much knowledge it could drive them crazy to a level perhaps worse then the Mechanicus guy who interacted with the Breath of the Gods super weapon. Think about it very few of the Mechanicus would be able to resist such a temptation and lure of so much abundance of free knowledge which doesn't seem to have any Chaos taint in it. And how it is effectively superior then the Noosesphere. Those who would not endure and persevere would likely becime obsessed with it. And it is not like the Imperium holds any way or method to destroy such a construct. It will still exist no matter what they do and no machine spirit, necron, or chaos is going to be capable of corrupting or changing that as it is too powerful and durable to disrupt. And if anyone does try they may stirr up a mighty intelligence that maybe dwelling within there and would be aware of their interference. There is some theories that delve into how the Gravemind remembers everything that came before and knows all that knowledge so extremely fluently and some suggest that the Gravemind's consciousness either lurks within Slipspace and/or the Domain itself where all that knowledge is stored. There are even some implementations that the Flood are the Precursors as planned and that they are manifestations of the Living Universe's will to experience sweetness and sorrows of life. And that the Living Universe could access and alter the Domain when it wants.
Nova Cannon and done, no more stupid xenos ring. As for the idea that Foreruner tech being more advanced then Necron tech... you are joking right? The forerunners tried to kill everything in the galaxy, including them selves because of the flood, it didn't work. The UNSC is fighting the flood, and they aren't resorting to planet killing weapons, ergo the flood isn't that much of a threat relative to 40k, but they where a big enough threat to make the most advanced civilization in Halo suicide themselves.
@@nigredoooalgown6245 Dude you lack perception have no idea what the Flood's capabilities are and how truly dangerous and adaptive they are. Let me ask you a question. What would happen if the Flood infected a Hivecity's population starting from deep underground in the slums? And what if there is no Imperium fleet nearby to stop it's propagation in time? How secure is the Imperium of Man and fast does information travel compare to the UNSC's modern protocols to containing Flood threats and their FTL travel? Ever heard of the word rapid exponential escalation before? That's the term that should be used when addressing the Flood. The Imperium's security is very thin out and information travels very slowly around even a Sector and their response time is often too slow before it's too late. And any Extermintus action taken would takes months because of endless inefficient contradicting burarcy channels that doesn't even know how to properly take care of a single planet within a sector and the Inquisition wouldn't be able to respond in time before it's too late and the infestation has taken over the planet and the Gravemind has been formed assimilating hundreds of billions perhaps trillions already processing all that knowledge at a rate that puts dark age of technology ai to shame, learning about the nature of the Imperium and it's threats and organizing millions of ambitious ruthless plans and developing technology to get out of the system to spread the outbreak. And let me tell you something. No planetary Imperial Guard are going to be able to stop them with their arsenal and resources and bad response times and unable to truly understand and identify the true nature of the threat in time before it's too late and they are overwhelmed. Regular infection already have the strength to tear apart Titanium A alloys and all the Imperium armor is not going to be enough and the Flood will assimilate them and take their resources and assets and repurpose them for their weapons. And the Gravemind would easily be able to contruct a fleet from the local industrial infrastructure and send out ships to get out of the system before the Sector Fleet finds out and responds. And it's likely going to wait for the local Imperium fleet to arrive to both distract and assimilate more forces. You do not know how truly powerful and capable the Flood are. Their intelligence and problem solving is something the Imperium is not ready for and unable to keep adapting to in time counteract. Why do you think the UNSC have exponential protocols in place to stop any other future Flood outbreaks they encounter early on? Because their weak? Hey I see you've got a few comments going so I'll do my best to respond to them all! 😄 So if the ring was lit any life form that has a nervous system has it immediately fried. For the orks it's a death sentence to those that are in the vicinity... but it wouldn't be for ork spores, so what would happen is a majority would die but they would ultimately come back with no real issue overall. As for the Tyranids it's a different story, Tyranids are exceptionally adaptable but it takes time for a new Tyranid form to fully adapt to a situation. If they were hit by the burst of radiation (assuming they aren't immune already) then a huge portion of a hive fleet is immediately gone if not destroyed and unlike the orks the only way to get their numbers back up is through consuming biomass. If damaged enough it may be that an entire hive fleet or even fleets are destroyed... Alongside a huge chunk of the rest of the galaxy! Basically it can be super effective for both but less so for the orks as they will be able to come back faster 🙂

Tyranids. Depends on what stage the flood are in. Feral stage? Tyranids curbstomp. Coordinated? Low diff win for the nids. Extra-planetary? Mid-to-high diff win for the nids about 50-70% of the time. Intergalactic stage flood? Flood win about mid diff.
@@ninamercer6807idk bro, flood have some upper hand with logic plague and Graveminds. But no psycher units and the Nids have so many more units. I wonder how the Flood could deal with the warp. And the Nids if they spliced their dna with flood and found better ways to make Tyranid bio forms.

Flood: *begins to create pure combat forms immune to Nurgle's diseases* Information: The Flood has pure forms, which are biomass-based combat forms that can be altered by the Gravemind. It can create any type of form as required by the battle, such as pure forms the size of a mountain, with mass destruction damage and planetary-level resistance, also being immune to any type of diseases. The worst part is that the entire Flood army can have those stats in an instant.
@nestorsi5253 just because you say it's immune to everything doesn't mean it is. Gravemind is not all powerful. As evidenced by its destruction. Read a codex which details the warp. None of those points address that. You see you forget that space magic > space practicality in the sense one doesn't have to follow even its own universe rules. And Nurgles scale in the warp. Infinite. Good luck invading that. The universe of 40K literally states the only reason the chaos gods do not roll the physical universe is due to their lack of interest alone. So basically, flood shows up, Nurgle decides to roll over, flood dies.
@@jeremygair4007 It's easy not to want to accept an enemy you can't win against, let alone parasites who are the gods of all Halo. Literally everything I mentioned is monstrous and unprecedented in 40k, and we're not just talking about a few beings, we're talking about a total army with the same powers and abilities as the species they infect. Like a Flood psychic form thanks to the Eldars, to be able to enter the Warp and create a monstrous army to eliminate demons and plagues of Nurgle. Also, the Flood is far superior to Nurgle and the other Chaos gods when they obtain the Keymind; at that stage, the Flood becomes omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent because it becomes the entire universe, and not even the Chaos gods could do anything to it because everything in the universe, even beings that alter reality in real space and the Warp (because they are part of the universe), is under its control. Nurgle and the others stand no chance; they are mere jokes.

@@jeremygair4007 Sure, that ancient human civilization defeated the Flood with a Halo ring (created by the Forerunner civilization, which is a species superior or equal to the Necrons) that prematurely fired at the Ark. With a weapon like that, you win against anything living (the factions) or monstrous constructions (technology) in the Warhammer 40k universe. Additionally, that battle was a test by the Flood to the human species, which is the successor of Forerunner technology, and they passed it. However, despite the victory, the Flood has not been eliminated yet because the final test is still pending. If you know the lore, you would know this basic information.

The Mechanicus would think a microwave a machine god relic and worship it. The Halo and its AI would be considered unholy and attempt to destroy it, while others would stumble around and release the flood. My question is, what would happen if the Halo fired its weapons into the warp? Or, what would the Old Ones and/or the Necrons do with it?
Why does everyone compare 40k to halo? Halo has a good story and consistent design visually. It’s nice to look at it feels like it makes sense within its own universe. 40k is just a bunch of random bs thrown together haphazardly
its typically because 40k guys get mad that the most well known space marine isnt from 40k, even more so when they realize hes stronger and faster then 90% of the 40k space marines while being just average for a spartan.
I doubt the mechanicus is Mechadendrites will be compatible for Forerunner technology but who knows the technology is so advanced it would probably be able to tell that these Abominations are human😂
the imperium fucking would trigger it if they had a shield world... they started of with only one world.... they can start over... the necrons and odd groups of men of iron would survive though...
Um the UNSC is the Reclaimers. The UNSC are by Imperial standards Abhumans who's genetics are altered allowing them to use the ancient technologies. The Forerunners are via genetic manipulation related to the UNSC humans . So they would be finding a technology of a long dead Abhuman or possibly xenos origins. They wouldn't really know the difference. The technology wouldn't be known to them at all. So technologically, they wouldn't have a clue who made it. Thus hearing that a long dead Empire called the Forerunners which literally translates to those who came before them. And finding out that the rings are part of a network of megastructures that where used as weapons against the Flood. And wiped out all intelligent life. And that they are related to the descendents of that ancient empire. May or may not lead to them freaking out. If they put 2 and 2 together they would quickly surmise that the rings were built by their prehistoric ancestors and thus are beyond ancient archotech. The Flood however would be a reason to either activate or destroy the ring in an attempt to prevent the spread.
Bro you need to revisit this, the first 3 Halo games , books and the animated series Halo Legends suggested that the Forerunners are humans and that humanity are their descendants. Halo 1 Gulty Spark welcome Chief and says he’s the Reclaimer and that he must fulfill what his forefathers began 100,000 years ago after scanning his dna which went on for 3 games. Halo Legends began with Cortana saying that she knows the entire human history and their eons of war which then cuts to the Forerunners trying to defend one of their worlds against the flood. Btw they look very human and even had 5 fingers. I believe when the humans arrive at the halo the monitor there would have welcomed them and tried to get them to fire the ring after telling them the history of the constellations and locations of it. If you go further down the rabbit hole of the Halo lore you would see that there are a lot of symbolism from the Bible. Which can explain the human-Forerunner war and the emergence of the flood because the humans are sinning by geocoding their brothers which makes sense cause in the later games they talk about Precursors created Humanity and forerunners. Pretty hectic but I believe it all ties in together to show humans are the same as the Forerunners . Anyway I bet the monitor of the ring would have helped the imperium of man and passing them on a lot of forerunner tech which humans from the 40k universe would have taken advantage of and lead along the monitor to some extent since they still probably see AI as heresy.🤷♂️
what would they do? they would use it... tow it through the warp on like 3 ships and just set it off wherever they wanted... exterminautis for entire systems

Guilliman would pull up and tinker with the ring and then later when it is fired every fat chick in the galaxy is transmogrified into big tiddy eldar goth girls
The imperium would study the rings and then destroy them.
Destroy first if flood are there.
By the time the emperor knew that the forunners past down the the mantle as the galaxy's protector. He will kept it a secret.
If a weak unsc force could infiltrate it, the imperium would easily destroy it. You wank Halo so much, mate.

The Covenant fleet in Halo 1 didn't seem to get destroyed by the Halo's defenses.
@@nobleman9393 They weren't actively trying to destroy the rings either dude. The Covenant view anything built by the Forerunners as sacred, and will actively fight to defend it. Sentinels will attack them, but that's more because they're trying to access stuff that is 'Reclaimer only' and all that

What do you think of the GL Corps being in 40k? Ignoring the absolutely insane comic book feats of course, toned down a bit for 40k
@@l0sts0ul89 they'd be amazing on a battlefield. far, far better than even the most potent 40k psykers since they can just instantly spawn pretty much anything on demand. However, if they was actually in the 40k universe it would likely end in them all being possessed. Being mighty is no defence against warp b.s.
Hate to be the nerd in the room
but "akchually" Nids also steal Strength, they adapt based on biomass that they consume to better fight it's pray.
Nids are that snowball but having already rolled over who knows how many others, already gargantuan in size and based on the few Psykers that managed to tap into the Hivemind for a moment without going insane they were able to tell that the Tyrannids feel "hate"
It's not so much that they're just blindly eating, the Hive is intelligent and if they wanted to communicate they very much could... They just don't want to. They hate us for some unknown reason. Who's to say that they aren't as intelligent as a Flood infestation in it's final evolution?
(This is speculation from my part but I wouldn't be surprised if the Tyrannids had a similar backstory to the Flood where their origins are from some remnant of the "Ancient Ones" who seek revenge after the Necrons and C'tan genocided them by turning into a biological terror.)
I actually find the Flood and Nids to be very much almost the same type of threat just in different stages of evolution and with different methods but ultimately using similar ideas.
@@lostkhan1728 What if they infect some eldar then gain access to the Webway, then they wouldn't need the Warp to traverse space.
@@Blazegraze12 i mean it wouldn't work cause when the eldar die physically their mind and soul gets transfered to the soul stones. And to even get that knowledge to use the webway you'd have to crack the soulstone to get that knowledge and downside to that is once the soulstone is cracked the soul gets sent straight to slaanesh
@@lostkhan1728 Perhaps but that's if they die, in this scenario they're technically not dead, they have become infected and transformed so theoretically they would still retain their minds and souls wouldn't they?

@@nonya1366 And since nobody knows what the Warp ACTUALLY is, if it's actually the "central nervous system" of our galaxy, well, *poof*
Just like how Halo lore never went into much detail WHAT neural physics actually is, since the one and only remnant of that tech is the Domain.
@@kanadashyuugo873
Well, we know the halo rings specifically destroys the central nervous system of everything within the halo range to starve out the flood.
And unknown to the mechanicus 1 single spore snuck on one of the dropships and is slowly taking over one of the vessels. And because it was the mechanicus the flood now have the ability to merge with machines to a extent. By the time the ships get back to where ever they call home one ship seems to be a ghost ship now. It is assisted into the space docks so that it can be fixedand the crew helped but when repair teams go missing and no one has yet to find a single crew member including servoskulls they pull back but find out its to late as Flood spores have moved off the ship onto the world.

The mechanicus are also not stupid enough to not do a sweep of there ships. odds are even if they did destroy the ring, odds are that has indirectly spread the flood across the 40k universe
Know I curious what would have happen if the Ring ended up in Tau Space.
if a Imperium fleet attacked a halo ring from sapce just because if the size of the halo ring it would take a long time for them to do even enough damage to the ring to disable its functions that the ring could just hyperspace jump to another location unless the Imerium fleet has and were authorized to use exterminatus level weaponry which if they for some reason they were to decide forerunner were Xeno and had the knowledge that the ring could wipe 25% of the galaxy they probably would have authorization then they could probably destroy the ring as it would require planetary level weapons to do so (the pillar of autumn reactor only destroyed the ring because it was on the surface of the ring and it triggers the control/power station beneath it which the actual explosion of the pillar of autumn did zero damage to the superstructure of the ring )
but they would have no reason to conclude that the forerunner are Xeno as the alien symbols would be examined and found not to match known human or xeno language which would just tell them that they are of no known origin but as they imerium are xenophobic they would probably size with caution that language and symbols are likely to be xeno
but then when confronted with the monitor and when they are told that they by being humans are the reclaimers and that the reclaimers descend from the forerunner would give them reason to believe that the forerunner are human or if they ask specifically if forerunner are the same species as humanity they would probably then classify forerunners as ab-humans as both humanity and forerunners descend from the precursors and all the tech would just be seen as tech from the dark age of technology which if they didn't try to auto kill all the AI on the ring starting a war with the ring then their goal would probably turn to searching the ring for a STC

Depends on how they're put in and how we believe the Warp would interact with beings that're from an entirely different universe/reality.
They're either completely vulnerable or undetectable, similar to blanks but without the psychic nullification. Entering the warp would be like a disease entering a body, the white blood cells would snuff them out. However, since they have slipspace, they'll be relatively fine. Again, depends on how you view this.
As for them being completely wiped out, it depends. We're ignoring the fact that it's a faction of HUMANS. If we're using post-war UEG/UNSC, they'd assimilate better into the Imperium. They'd be more open to the xenophobia of the Imperium, considering the first group of aliens the UEG/UNSC met tried to geno them. Plus, the Imperium is incredibly patient with newly discovered human worlds. We'd like to meme them holding a finger over the exterminatus button, but the Imperium is much more nuanced than that.
As for other things, the UNSC isn't bad off. In terms of strength, speed and reaction time, Spartans are on par with Astartes. Firepower depends on if a Spartan is carrying that lovely laser cannon called the Spartan Laser. Durability is what the Spartans are missing out on.
NOVA bombs would be incredibly cheap and effective.
And if Forerunner technology came with, and the UNSC convinced the Imperium that the Forerunner tech is for humans to inherit?... Can you imagine an Imperium-style Halo Ring? By the Emperor...
@@NexusGaming857 first thing, the whole blank statement is kinda meh and heres why the Blanks aren't in abundance. People who get this get this from a gene called the pariah gene that baiscally makes them "souless" they are disconnected from the warp. and this basically only happens 1 out of a million people get this gene, and even then 1 out of million is not even guaranteed since that gene makes that person disconnected from the warp itll make other people very eerrie around them and usually the parents of person who has this gene usually kills them as babies since it gives them this discomforting feeling. I'm assuming you're friend told you that the warp is part of everyone, basically its like the force from star wars but twisted differently, everyone that has a soul is somewhat connected to the warp all your emotions and thoughts go to the warp.

bruh the admech would shit their pants, if they could, that is, that there is a weapon that powerful within range of Mars.
@@Orinslayer I can definitely see that.
Anyone who has the HALO ring would essentially have an instant “I win button”
Then there’s the flood, if the flood is released then it can quickly become a galaxy wide extinction level event that not even the Necrons or Tyranids would be able to stop.
I honestly see it as a Dawn of War scenario where every major faction(except maybe Tau) are fighting to control the ring. The Flood is released, alliances are formed to stop the parasite from spreading, only to have the heroes activate and destroy the ring self destruction style, wiping out the flood in the process.
"Alliances formed to stop the parasite"
Hahaha!

13 hours since initial flood boarding the ship is quiet not a peep not a sound only the skittering fleshy forms can be heard.
on a hive world an imperial guard walks his patrol route thinking of ways to kill his commissar he looks into the night sky nothing but empty void pitch black with the moon only lighting the sky like an angel guarding the night. until clouds moved as a ship enters out of the warp its long-erected shape now blocking the moon
The fall of the galaxy has the begun.

If it was the Elder if they found the Ring the galaxy would be doomed
Since "hey free craftworld."
Dark eldar might find a way to torture flood forms by deliberately infected ""Labourers"" ala Mona Lisa, as being infected is a great agony and the dark eldar aren't above playing chicken with the universe for a quick snack.
The tyranids either eat the flood by sheer attrition, mutate to utilize the flood's adaptations and proceed to 360 no scope the galaxy faster then you can say "Wait what do you mean the forerunners are still in the gravemind?"
Or, the flood eats that hive fleet, proceeds to adapt even killier warrior forms, probably make their infection form into a gun, and utilizes the mass mind to become a psyker entity, complete with shadow in the warp. The gravemind already has telepathy it wouldn't be that large of a leap. I'd imagine the gravemind would use it's power to simply command people to leap into the hive.
@@nonya1366 psychic flood would be scary. Also thr navigator isn't eaten, he would be encorporated so no big deal
@@casematecardinal The flood is already psychic. The gravemind simply didn't use it to incapacitate [besides slowing the player down to a crawl] at any time.
That and the navigator isn't a pushover, their third eye could potentially kill a juggernaut. Since it could potentially kill a space marine chapter master. The Third Eye Is Not a joke.
Honestly I feel that the flood would have gotten on any ship who tried to save those on the ring
Xenos tech, prepare the exterminatus cannon
(Rhetorical, I know you aren't, just like I know you don't know what the Necrons can do)

Unless you somehow think the UNSC is more powerful then the imperium.
@@nigredoooalgown6245
Dude you lack perception have no idea what the Flood's capabilities are and how truly dangerous and adaptive they are.
No. That's ignorance and you don't comprehend how truly dangerous the Flood are.

How effective the ring could of been against tyranids and orcs at the edge of the galaxy
Hey I see you've got a few comments going so I'll do my best to respond to them all! 😄
So if the ring was lit any life form that has a nervous system has it immediately fried.

Tyranids. @@kanadashyuugo873 Not so sure about that.
Depends on what stage the flood are in. Feral stage? Tyranids curbstomp. Coordinated? Low diff win for the nids. Extra-planetary? Mid-to-high diff win for the nids about 50-70% of the time. Intergalactic stage flood? Flood win about mid diff.

I wonder how long the flood could mess about before Nurgle shows them what true virulence is.
Flood: *begins to create pure combat forms immune to Nurgle's diseases*
Information: The Flood has pure forms, which are biomass-based combat forms that can be altered by the Gravemind.

It's easy not to want to accept an enemy you can't win against, let alone parasites who are the gods of all Halo.

Sure, that ancient human civilization defeated the Flood with a Halo ring (created by the Forerunner civilization, which is a species superior or equal to the Necrons) that prematurely fired at the Ark.
In one of the Halo terminals, Spark allowed humanity to “land” on the ring”
Ohhhh
I just realized that Spark would let the Imperium in because they are human
(Correct me if im wrong bc I don’t know anything about 40k)
The Mechanicus would think a microwave a machine god relic and worship it.
The Halo and its AI would be considered unholy and attempt to destroy it, while others would stumble around and release the flood.
My question is, what would happen if the Halo fired its weapons into the warp?
Or, what would the Old Ones and/or the Necrons do with it?
If i am correct gw already made a nod to halo , because It Is said that there are 7 artificial ring worlds that are occupied by the ordo xenos .
I think the tau empire would find a halo ring
