I've had quite a few comments asking me to make a video on the Covenant and if they can survive... Ask and you shall receive.
But if you also have any other ideas that you'd like me to cover with a short story on feel free to give me suggestions!

the covenant would become a fairly large faction, and may be one of the few that doesn't end up fighting a war on all fronts because their hate is reserved specifically for humanity, not to mention theyd be hard to pin down because they dont have a homeworld, theyre all on high charity
the flood, if going unnoticed for long enough to hit gravemind stage, would absolutely devour 40k, this is a parasite similar to tyranids, only instead of developing counters to enemy weapons, they just outright steal them, and, also, when a keymind does form, reality itself is infected by the flood
the forerunners would absolutely dominate 40k and its not even close, its an empire 3 times the size of the imperium and out techs the imperium going as far back as even the dark age, where they were at their technological peak, if the imperium can handle the entire galaxy bearing down on it and WIN alot of those battles, the foreunners, who simply have better everything, can solo

With how active the Emperor has become, I feel the UNSC's arrival to earth likely would have gone differently. The Emperor with his foresight likely would've known of their coming, or have been made instantly aware of it upon their arrival. While it's difficult to know what the response would be, I'd think he'd want to know more above all else.
Either the Imperium's attack would be called off or it wouldn't have happened. Some sort of tense agreement would be reached to have a representative sent down or up. Due to the delicate nature of the situation, only a Custodes guided by the Emperor could likely be trusted even then I could see him doing that weird custodes possession thing he can do in order to ensure an actual discussion can be had.
The Emperor would quickly learn the truth one way or another; while human they are from another universe or timeline- What matters most is on all accounts they are from somewhere Chaos does not exist. Upon that realization, they immediately become invaluable just by merit of existing.
From that point on, there are many ways it could go, but I think the Emperor's skills (even eroded from sitting on the throne) would largely defuse any immediate conflict unless he could see that the optimal path forward was for the Astartes/Custodes to seize the ship and all it's crew.
One way or another there'd be an exchange of information, the Emperor would see their value and mutual cause and either seek to use their knowledge to fix his own universe or some method of bringing humanity or a good chunk of it into the Halo Universe (All he wants is for Humans to be free of Chaos and on top).
It's important to remember that if the AI are able to even consider they're in a different universe, the Emperor would probably be able to just tell they're from a different one.

    • @HypospaceYT
      @HypospaceYT  8 месяцев назад +169

That's a great point, but it then brings up the question of if the UNSC is even willing to talk to the Imperium for long enough to form any kind of truce.
The Emperor/Guilliman would be a great start but seeing as how rotten the Imperium is with its disregard for human life in servitors, manufactorums and other areas alongside the sheer religious zealotry it would be extremely horrifying to even consider talking to them in any capacity let alone ally with them.
There may be a truce should the Emperor/Guilliman force it but it would be super uneasy for both sides.
A super cool idea either way!

There’s a major flaw I. The initial spartan vs astartes fight. Based on a quick google search, a spartan is fully capable of lifting an astartes, without their armor assisting. Master Chief squared 100 tons and punched a Banshee away, which ways 2.5 tons.
More than that though, based on canonical events, Spartans were known to have a punch near, or in some cases in excess of 600,000 newtons. That’s almost double the force of a 120mm round out of an m1 Abram’s. On top of that, the Spartans armor without shielding can withstand more than 200,000 psi, and Spartans have survived direct hits from tanks which would have a force of more than 15 millions newtons.
Then you have to factor in their speed, without armor Spartans can run 30+mph and armored can run over 100mph. Not to mention how fast their reaction times are. Which are appx 10x faster than a baseline human in non combat situations, and nearing 50x faster in combat.
For the most part, a single spartan would tear through astartes the same way an astartes would tear through unsc marines.

Imperium fights SEVEN on a daily basis for thousands of years, among them are literal daemons from Space Hell that can fuck reality (literally and figuratively), and they've been holding on against all odds for THOUSANDS of years quite well. UNSC is barely surviving against ONE.
Oh, so scary, having to fight One enemy that isn't fucking with reality, fielding billions of hordes on the first day, or sending out snipers hiding in a pocket dimension that can pop your best tank with their basic sniper rifle. The Imperium sure cannot hold a candle against one faction.

@@BertoxolusThePuzzled that`s not the issue here. maplemayhem1988 is talking like the UNSC survived via a miracle when the covenant took greater losses the closer they got to earth. in the last 5 years alone the covenant lost 3 fleets and a forge world. also, the UNCS was building a fleet of ARK ships to leave. The Infinity and her 2 sister ships were designed to be arks to turn humanity into a fleet-based race where they could go away and those ships could mine resources, build ships, support a growing population, create Spartans, etc. They had shields, the best FTL around, could take capital ships, and constantly self-upgrade and repair. and they had enough fuel to go on for centuries without resupply. so his assumption of the UNSC is incredibly wrong and laughable if you know anything about 40k lore. the imperium was in constant decline for 10k years surviving only by the will of the imperium guard. the UNSC was constantly evolving and upgrading.

I gotta agree with Pancreas that if the UNSC were to fortify themselves in at least a couple systems and get some good industry going under the radar, then they'd be a formidable force in the 40k galaxy. It all really depends on the circumstances they enter the setting under.

If the Imperium wasnt so trigger happy they could have opened a dialogue with the splinter fleet of the UNSC. There has to be someone smart enough, maybe a tech-priest or a well-learned captain, to realize that the UNSC were human. This would allow the splinter fleet to explain why they have AI and that they are more confused than the imperials are. UNSC would eventually explain that they thought that they were orbiting Earth, rather than "Holy Terra", they have non-warp ftl drives that are way more efficient than warp drives (cue Mechanicus oiling their collective robes), and they also have their own breed of bio-enhanced super soldiers which are more close to Astartes than the Imperium realizes (maybe even use the UNSCs data to make Spartans for the Millitarum, though thats doubtful cause honestly I love Spartans, but the Astartes are basically Spartans but better).
The Imperium would eventually welcome the UNSC fleet and share technology with them as well as explaining on their end what they're all about (though I doubt the UNSC personnel would be down with the whole theocracy thing). Gulliman (assuming this takes place when he is now Lord Commander) would be facinated with the UNSC and basically grant them immunity; gicing them intel, arms, training, a contingent of Primaris to assist the Spartans, and maybe even have the Mechanicus retrofit their fleet to some degree with newer and shiner toys (guns, like really big fucking guns). At some point, the splinter fleet would find themselves at odds with the home fleet they separated from. Now THAT is a battle I would love to speculate about! Two sides that came from the same place, but sheltered in different forms and bolstered by different galactic powers.

The Spartan's strength is its light weight for its weight class.
      This results in good acceleration.
However, I won't deny the durability of the Astarte . The Astarte is very durable.
(The Spartan is currently in service for less than 50 years , and is expected to last a century, with no indication of whether it will last much longer .)
      On the other hand
Spartans can even have offspring , which makes them more versatile.
Men and women can become Spartans, and the success rate of Spartans in the 3rd generation is extremely high.
Imagine a planet of billions of people, all made up of Spartans III, with a few of them becoming Spartans II.

Unfortunately for the UNSC to the Imperium of Man and the Mechanicus there is no reason they could give that would save them from immediate obliteration and that planet they contacted would probably under a very real threat of exterminatus as a way to ensure no "abominable intelligence" has a chance of hiding on it. Kind off, as a side character perhaps, but in all honesty no not really, again if it’s the entire UNSC, then they’d be in a similar situation as the tau but much weaker, since they don’t all use gundams, but what the UNSC lacks in overlapping or overwhelming power, they make up for it in their flexibility and adaptability, and again considering that most planets in the UNSC have an orbital defense system as well as a stable FTL system along with AI, does make them a dangerous force to be reckoned with, but again, if we’re going with pre covenant war UNSC, the fact that the UNSC’s ships lacks any form of shields or shielding and relies solely on their point defenses and sheer weight of armor, isn’t going to be all that effective when you consider that an imperial lance turret is the equivalent of a covenant glassing laser, where it’s been clearly shown that a single shot from a covenant glassing beam is enough to cut a UNSC autumn class heavy cruiser in half and a macro cannon would basically be akin to the shots fired by four MAC cannons fired from an ODP, again in a straight up fight, the UNSC isn’t going to win, again considering that the standard ma5c fires the equivalent of a modern 7.62 AP round which yes is okay at killing something more human sized, is completely and utterly pointless or useless when you’re dealing with say a hoard of orks or a swarm of Tyranids in which even killing something like an elite usually requires the user to dump half a magazine into them before they’re killed and the best comparison in the halo universe would be akin to an army of brutes mixed with the durability of a hunter, again even lasbolts which would be equivalent to the DMR from halo reach requires something akin to half a power pack just to drop a single ork, and again that’s not including things like say for example armor which an ork typically wears, there’s a reason why in 40K there are things like castles or fortresses or giant defensive structure is because, to simply put it overwhelming firepower is utterly and completely useless and irrelevant if the enemy has already closed into melee range in which outside of a tau or even an eldar, everything else is far larger and stronger than your average space marines to the point where even space marines tend to have trouble when dealing with orks due to how resilient they are to damage as well as to how physically strong they are, whilst again the UNSC has access to better and cleaner tech than that of the imperium, again even something as silly s Their main battle tanks would be easily destroyed due to the fact that whilst a high velocity 90mm cannon might be enough to injure a swarmlord, that’s about it, unless you’re talking about a grizzly then perhaps it could take on a tyrant guard but even then, what about the other millions of hormagaunts and other smaller Tyranid lifeforms charging the tank, since outside of the likelihood that the scorpion is given a coaxial chain gun in its turret, the only other option are the right guys with rifles sitting on the side skirts or the poor sod in the heavy machine turret getting ripped to shreds or blown up with the vehicle, again whilst the halo warthog is cool, it’s exposed compartments and lack of any actual protection is more likely to result in the occupants being eaten alive by the living ammunition of the tyranids, shot or blown to pieces by the orks or imperium, again imagine if reach was forced to undergo say an ork invasion kinda like the third war for Armageddon or an invasion by the tyranids, not to mention the corrupting influences of chaos or the taint spread by genestealer who can pass as a human unless they’re biologically scanned and checked, then entire genestealer cults would start popping up everywhere but even then there would still be the massive or utter lack of resources and available ammunition,

@@whiteeye3453 One, the Imperium of Man is _so backwards they wouldn't even try to reverse engineer anything_ and two, Slipspace travel is both faster and safer than Warp Travel but that's besides the point.
Now, it seems you don't know what Cole Protocol entails.
Here is the basic intructions of the first draft of the Cole Protocol
      1. All UNSC and civilian ships which come in contact with alien assets must have NAV computer/AI erased-destroyed if necessary-to prevent capture of core world locations.
      2. ALL Human vessels fleeing from alien forces must do so on a randomly generated vector away from UNSC core world locations.
.3 ONI Section II to immediately begin Slipstream space attenuated broadcast of pre-recorded human carrier signals from antiquity to prevent triangulation of Earth.
      Cole Protocol Article 1:
      The Cole Protocol
To safeguard and protect the Inner Colonies and Earth, all UNSC vessels or stations must not be captured with intact navigation databases that may lead Covenant forces to human civilian population centers.
If any Covenant forces are detected:
      1. Activate selective purge of databases on all ship-based and planetary data networks.
      2. Initiate triple-screen check to ensure all data has been erased and all backups neutralized.
      3. Execute viral data scavengers
      4. If retreating from Covenant forces, all ships must enter Slipstream space with randomized vectors NOT directed toward Earth, the Inner Colonies, or any other human population center.
      5. In case of imminent capture by Covenant forces and boarders, all UNSC ships MUST self-destruct.
Violation of this directive will be considered an act of TREASON and pursuant to UNSC Military law articles JAG 845-P and JAG 7556-L, such violations are punishable by life imprisonment or execution.
Even if the UNSC ships can't get away there will be nothing left of those ships for the Imperium to use,
      Article 2:
Destruction or capture of a shipboard AI is absolutely unacceptable.
Now you may think "You've contradicted yourself" but hold your horses because Article 2 has the stipulation "if extraction is not possible, the AI must be purged" which clearly states even the AI will have to go if it's bad enough.
THAT is what I mean by "Cole Protocol" like usual, the UNSC takes that VERY seriously, as in the only reason that, in 27 years of conflict with the Covenant, the Covenant didn't discover Human presence on Earth or other worlds through anything on a captured ship. The Covenant found Earth because they were trying to get to the Lesser Ark, the Covenant happened to have a relic hunting fleet stumble upon Reach, but they never once found out about either Reach or Earth because of data from a Human ship.

Wow this was really good, I'm glad that you are continuing the crossovers. I was looking forward to seeing the entire UNSC in 40K maybe just before the war to help with inconsistencies but I understand that would probably be a lot longer story and I feel like you provided an accurate comparison when it comes to strength between the factions and that ending was the most likely besides the UNSC fleet getting completely destroyed. 2 things I will say though is that I'm pretty sure the UNSC only blows up their ship reactors and does not do a operation upper cut every time they initiate the Cole protocols but I guess that captain wanted to be extra sure lmao. Also with the fight between the spartan and the astartes I think it would of been cool if the spartan used the fail safe detonation system and took the astartes out with it. In regards to suggestions the obvious big hitters besides the covenant is ancient humanity/ancestors, the forerunners and the flood and/or the precursors since spoiler: Epitaph confirmed they are the same thing just at different levels of complexity. However if you want to do smaller inclusions like with this then perhaps you could do the banished or the didacts approach while was on its way to Earth. You could even do the UNSC Infinity when it made that random slipspace jump but it probably wouldn't be much different from this despite being way way way stronger its just not enough to start a interdependent faction, unless it becomes the unsc version of a craftworld which I guess was its intended purpose in lore. Anyways, great video I hope you continue this series.

The UNSC could make for a solid guardsman regiment. Bear in mind they are known for having very advanced training as the UNSC beat the Covenant on most ground engagements, only losing to orbital bombardment. Spartans could serve as an elite spec ops force capable of infiltration missions and, assignments making Space Marine deployment less neccesary in certain scenarios. Cortana could probably be passed off as a machine spirit, considering she was created using human DNA and is technically not fully inorganic. The Imperium would simply need to augment them with some better technology for combat. Slip space is far faster than Warp travel and far more safe. This could lead to the imperium no longer relying on warp travel if the UNSC teams up with the mechanicus and mass produces the slip space drives. The large increase in resources and planets would allow for much greater fielding and creations of Spartans of various levels of design(Spartan 2s, and Spartan 3s would be created in mass due to hive worlds having billions of potential candidates. Spartan 4 augments could also help with increasing the effectiveness of adult Guardsman commisars, officers, and tempestus scions). ONI definitely may find themselves in trouble if they try to reverse engineer xeno technology but considering the Mechanicus is sketchy at times, they may be able to hide this. I
TLDR: Overall I think the UNSC could function quite well as an Auxillary faction and/or Guardsman regiment for the Imperium. As a bonus combat shielding, and less invasion augmentations may be able to limit casualties and increase effectiveness of human units. (if properly tuned for the scale of 40k weapons).

Spartans are Astartes are far too close to equals in combat for any clean-cut win/loss declaration, so it would follow that defeat would go to the first one to make even a fraction of a mistake. Here, it was the Spartan that slipped up first, and the Astartes immediately capitalized on it. In a battle of equals, even a minor mistake is death.

Necrons are the forerunners/prometheans on steroids, advanced technology taken to a completely new level for the UNSC. the Imperium would probably be willing to collaborate with the UNSC, so would the Tau and Eldar, the Orks might cooperate if offered certain forms of tech like slipspace or MAC weaponry, it really depends on which faction the UNSC meets first and how diplomacy goes

The extent of DAoT technology is several orders of magnitude above halo.
Black holes as casual ammo on ships.
      Time travel.
Quantum hyperposition to quite literally desintegrate matter at several points in time.
Almost all of the many methods of exterminatus are unmatched by most planet killing methods in halo, aside from the halo devices themselves.
      Neurolinks?
Almost everyone of any importance whatsoever in 40k has bionic implants, many of which directly link their neural systems to other tech.
Literally entering a parallell universe/dimension (the warp),
Not only entering it, but also somehow continually linking it to your original dimension, making both blend into eachother whilst also staying separate (gellar field)
(Idk about you, but literally finding a way to fundamentally break the laws of physics and open a gate to unreality is quite a step above having AI’s and stuff like halo has)
This was also done with science, not psykers, as humanity didn’t get psykers aside from a very select few exceptions until the beginning of the age of strife, which was after the DAoT.
Then casually introducing teleporters that send individual people through that seperate dimension and spitting them out on the other side, unharmed.
      The list goes on.
People forget that DAoT tech is nearly indistinguishable from magic.

this is interesting but I think you forgot how big Imperial Space is and how fast UNSC ships are. the imperial can try to chase but with UNSC AI and slipspace, they can outrun all of their attempts. the imperial is also too big, and due to a poor filing system, they lost entire worlds. the UNSC can just move away from segmental terra and be fine, they are systems where the imperial shows up every 100 years or so. this makes for a far less interesting story compared to the one you told but one more likely to be. lastly, if you want the story to feel more organic I would recommend using the infinity next time. the original purpose of the Infinity was to be part of a mobile fleet to save humanity from extinction. just say Halo 3 didn`t happen and the humanity in Halo got as many people as they could on ships but were attacked by the covenant before they were ready. they activated the infinity forerunner slip space before it was properly installed and something went wrong. they were now in the 40k galaxy with most of their ships holding civilian populations in a space-fearing fleet.
almost forgot, call it heresy but depending on the chapter the Spartans will destroy the space marines. most space marines follow a warrior code and as such leave themselves exposed. and while they are stronger than Spartans, Spartans are better-trained combatants. Spartans without sword training have matched elite sword masters.

They fight by their chapter rules and regulations and barely deviate from such tactics. you can have some oddball deviations like Malum Caedo but hundreds of years of experience means nothing. they barely grow and change and they operate in a century timeline. what would take you a decade of development to a character in another franchise would take a century in 40k. it took the space wolves nearly 10k years to stop being major A-holes and become fratboy A-holes. that`s 10k years of character development in 40k.

Nah, recruiting from children to Scout Marines and becoming Space Marines does take longer than Spartans.
And here we know who lied saying that Spartans will destroy Space Marines in melee combat, where Spartans only have an average reaction speed of 20ms And the reaction speed of space marines is faster than that, not to mention space marines face opponents that are much stronger and faster than spartans, such as eldar.
And even one spartan pac was destroyed by atriox In melee, Spartan melee combat is very bad compared to space marines Since childhood and as Marine Scouts, they have often used swords,
And spartan enemies are very slow compared to space marine enemies even master chief will die if var gathani or atriox kills him directly instead of Always throw it.
And we haven't even talked about the wound tolerance where a spartan would fall to the ground with just a monkey's bare hands, which is only a minor injury to a space marine.

    • @JayJayM57
      @JayJayM57 Месяц назад +1

@@JiwakuMembanteng-z3b This will sound rude but the more you talk the more it sounds like you don`t know what you are talking about. I will divide this into 3 points to address your arguments; training, combat, and injury.
      - Training. Space Marines' requirement is generally between the ages of 12 to 15 as gene-seed treatment is done between 14 to 16. Dorn already showed that space marines can be mass-produced during the siege of Terra and Dante is also doing mass recruitment and deployment. Space marine can be deployed within one year during mass recruitment or multiple when there`s no rush. Spartans literally have the longer training regiment and one that is not specialized. They trained in all terrains and all environments. Space marines trained in the regime designed by their legions. Which is limited even for the best-trained legions.
      - Combat. Aatrox used strength, speed, stealth, and tight room to maximize his strength and minimize his opponent. he didn`t charge blindly while screaming. this was to show he was a brute in strength but a tactician in mind. you are trying to use that scene to make me believe the Spartans are weak in melee when that scene is made to show how tactical Aatrox is. To further highly this Jerome single-handedly kills over a dozen brutes. also, I bet you didn`t notice Aatrox bending to reinforce Titanium armor with little effort, showing he does not have "monkey hand" strength. He is strong enough to crush space marines with brute force if it wasn`t for the space marines' superior reaction time.
lastly injuries, in the fall of Reach one spartan was active for hours with; broken ribs, punctured lungs, burned internal organs, exposed spine, and rapture leg muscle. Space marines can take more punishment but spartan are not as weak as you are making them out to be.

Can you do warframe there seriously not a single good video of one....
Warframe got so many similarly of warhammer like they got there own version of the warp which is the void the tenno are immune by it. If they're in the warp, they are mostly immune by the corruption since they already corrupted by the void.
So fair there is one God but still a mystery, it said this God is fair stronger then the 4 chaos gods mostly due. It own the void by itself, still don't know if it sentience. Eventually we will learn what it is or wants.
Anyways enemies of warframe is crazy like the grineer, there armor can be compared with Spartans armor but without a power armor, they are like 1/4 strength protection without shield. It stupid heavy about 1000 pounds. All that weight is lift up by there strength alone that why I said no power armor. They are originally created as slave labor clones which is why they are so strong carrying or lifting things.
Anyways the biggest threat would be the tenno with there warframe suit, they are too strong both physically and 5th Dimension powers.
The enemies name the sentient is basically stronger versions of the necrons
Eh I forgot to mention the warframe is basically the Golden Era of their time but majority of the technology is gone.
Anyways please look into it, warframe is very deep in lore like warhammer 40k
I forgot to mention they do have there own version of dreadnought in warframe for a player to control called the nekomech.
They got crew ship player can control name railjack etc there so much to do in this game

After watching this definitely it be very hard to try be independent traveling the world of warhammer 40k too many enemies want you dead.
Tenno from warframe would be the only faction that can truly independent by themselves. I can imagine them flying into imperial ships without them noticing with there void stealth technology.
Many times tenno able to park there ship next to enemies capital ship like they are blind to see. It really that stealthy. Most importantly tenno can easily kill a space marine, they are more beyond super soldiers. They're more like demi gods of super soldiers. I'm more interested how does the world of 40k interact the tenno. They can't be killed in battle, they can destroy there warframe body many times they want. But they will always stand up, the factions of 40k point of view would see them as a mystery alien that suddenly shows up easily take over planets by themselves to protect. I be interested to see a single tenno shows up middle of ork roar, while the imperial trying to defend but losing. Who knows if tenno drop in and help them out.

I feel like the space marines would more likely be like brutes and Master Chief took on a few by himself even hit by a gravity hammer and still didn’t phase him. With how much speed and maneuverability a spartan has over a space marine I think a spartan would win 9 times out of 10, Spartans use anything in their surroundings as a weapon and have an AI looking up weaknesses and ideas at the same time. The UNSC would still lose but only because they can’t mass produce Spartans like the space marines.

    • @John2r1
      @John2r1 3 месяца назад

As of Halo 4 we learn that they can mass produce Spartans.
The Spartan 4s are Spartans and are physically equal to Spartan 2s and 3s while in armor.
So yeah the augmentation process came full circle. They started with the ORION Project aka Spartan 1. Which used adult soldiers of which currently they have at least 4 billion. Then Spartan 2 used special children. Spartan 3 used war orphans and now they are back to using adult soldiers/ Marine/ ODST Veterans.
4 billion Spartan 4s because the galaxy is hell and this is the natural progression of the UNSC going forward. So 4 billion Spartans over 800 worlds. Is a lot better than around a million Space Marines spread out over 1 million worlds.
The UNSC if their smart and do as Dr. Halsey stated by making everyone in their military Spartans. As Spartans are their future.
Doing this makes them powerful in terms of ability to defend themselves even with a lack of overall numbers.
It's quality vs quantity. The UNSC doesn't have the numbers of personal of any other faction beyond the Tau. So must invest in the quality of their forces.
