Outstanding recommendations! To me, the films that would most benefit from 4K restorations are the Qatsi Trilogy and their spiritual successors (Baraka and Samsara). Most reading this will have no idea what I’m talking about but they are visually stunning films using the most elaborate analog technology of their time (most in 70mm). 2K Blu-ray cannot do them justice. Any film shot in 70mm demands a 4K.
Last Boy Scout, The Beach, Man On Fire, Apocalypto, Massacre In Dinosaur Valley, Enemy of the State, In Bruges, Kalifornia, The Hunger, Young Guns 2, Graffiti Bridge, Color of Money, Grosse Point Blank, Domino (2005), Mobsters, Stripped To Kill, Revenge (1990), Savage Streets, The Replacements, Se7en, Real Steel, Red Line (1996), and a few others...
The Hunger is soooo underrated. I'd love a 4K to get more eyes on it... I don't think I'd jump on Stripped to Kill, but Savage Streets would look great.
Cold Mountain, Road to Perdition, American Beauty, The Florida Project, Magnolia, Master and Commander, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill 1 and 2. American Hustle is on the way to 4k
I believe I saw Big Trouble in Little China listed in Shout's recent "Going Out of Print" sale so hopefully that is a sign of a 4K release coming... Definitely agree with Willow, Lethal Weapon and Under Siege, as well as David Fincher's films and the Nightmare on Elm Street series. And all of Peter Jackson's early films up to and including The Frighteners (which is already on 4K but it needs an affordable international release). Personally, I would love to see Young Einstein and Reckless Kelly by Yahoo Serious on 4K. Also, where is Ben-Hur? Plus: Home Alone 2, Joe Dante films like Explorers, Gremlins 2 and Small Soldiers, Tim Burton films like Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Edward Scissorhands, and Ed Wood, 90s action films like Broken Arrow, Con Air, The Rock and Armageddon and Adam Sandler films like Happy Gilmore, Bulletproof and The Wedding Singer.
Settling down to watch the vid to see what you guys have chosen. Barely 2 minutes in, Russ says “Assassination of Jesse James”, and i have to explain to the gf why i’ve just shouted “Amen to that” at my phone. My favourite film, bought the dvd on a blind buy about 13 years ago, loved it since. Even bought the soundtrack and got mad in a theatre when a trailer before the movie for “Water for Elephants” used Song for Jesse in it
Shit, I said it watching myself lol... For lack of a better term, I can tell you "get it". That film is such a vibe on top of being top notch filmmaking in practically all aspects. And that soundtrack? Couldn't agree more with you, and I would have been equally outraged hearing it attached to another movie. I wasn't joking when I said it's one of my favorite scores of all-time.
Great calls on Boogie Nights and Zodiac etc etc ...There are so many. A quick 5 Excalibur, Tombstone, Amadeus, Dirty Harry box set and a Kurosawa box set...Plus so many are stuck on dvd that need a blu
I've been itching to rewatch Tombstone recently and am holding out for a release. I know it's common knowledge but still deserves being said, Val Kilmer is phenomenal in Tombstone.
@russceasetheruss5360 Keeping it western in that same way I want to see TAoJJ...Kilmer was great in Tombstone and forever quotable. Russel is always great as was that entire cast.
I’m not sure if Zodiac would ever come to 4K, from what I remember I think it was one of the first films features shot on digital cameras, I think the film was finished at 2K. A 4K upscale would need to happen…really hoping The Fly, Manhunter, Angst (a long shot obviously!) and Day of the Dead come out!
Boogie Nights 4K .. is rumored to be coming in September from Warner. Fight Club ... is with Disney/Fox. So who knows. Terminator 4K... is rumored for August via Warner.
I’d love to have all Lethal Weapon films in 4K - I’m so bad off I have the “special edition” versions on DVD, and even if the scenes were added just for promotion of Lethal 4, they were actually good… so my pipe dream is to have them do a 4K set that includes those versions, but I’m a realist and know it would never happen. Great picks overall too!! I haven’t seen Jacob’s Ladder or City of God, but I’d most certainly check them out. Also, Russ, you and I are both fans of Summer of Sam - I have the Kino Blu-ray but I haven’t gotten to watch it yet. My husband hates the movie so I haven’t watched it.
Criterion giving us Dead Presidents on 4K would put a smile on my face... True story, at 13 years-old, the Dead Presidents soundtrack put me onto a whole goddamn genre of music that became the majority of what I listen to to this day.
Most of Daniel Day Lewis movies are missing on 4k and talking about missing, I've got missing posters on the street for touchstone and 20tth century fox movies on 4k. So much money on the table. Disney does want to make money right!
Wow OK you've done it now. The Negotiator. The Rock. Remember The Titans. Judgement Night. Crimson Tide. The Skin I Live In. The Long Kiss Goodn. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Falling Down. BEST Seller. House Party. Set It Off. Deep Cover. Gone In 60 Seconds. Broken Arrow. Apocalypto. Silverado. I have more, but I'll leave you with that. Great topic!
The Titanic, The Abyss and Aliens have one of the best 4k restorations I have ever seen. I am just not getting the controversary. These 3 have some of the best fidelity I have ever seen in a 4k restoration.
To clarify, I still haven't had an opportunity to check out the quality... What I was referencing in the video concerning those had to do with the release debacle. Preorders getting pushed back/cancelled, low quantities, etc.
All of them is my answer to that. But my personal priorities go to. Zulu, has an excellent source since shot in Super Technirama 70. Master and Commander, all those wide shots and the action. There Will Be Blood No Country for Old Men 2010: The Year We Make Contact Lincoln Courage Under Fire Once Upon a Time in the West Once Upon a Time in America: Extended Director’s Cut The Thin Red Line Falling Down Demolition Man A Bridge Too Far Kelly’s Heroes Where Eagles Dare Alien 3 Cromwell Flight of the Phoenix The French Connection The Terminator Crimson Tide
I have a Heavenly Creatures blu-ray I’m good with. One little James Cameron gem is still needed on 4K. That would be Strange Days which was written by Cameron and directed by Kathyrn Bigelow. That film, like many of these films, is at the mercy of Disney’s whims since it’s a Fox film.
1) Strange Days 2) Crimson Tide 3) The Rock 4) Kill Bill (both) 5) The Last Samurai 6) Under Siege 7) Demolition Man 8) Ladyhawke 9) Jackie Brown 10) Office Space
Damn, love your picks guys. 4k was made for films like Badlands I hope we get it I'm waiting on The Wrestler, Paper Moon, The Wonder Boys, Sideways, and The Sandlot. ANd if it's not too much gimme The Love Witch too ❤
Love Witch goes without saying, Anna Biller can have direct access to my bank account and I'd be okay with it... Solid choices and I love that you included Wonder Boys, I wrote in a comment above how Curtis Hanson overall is underrated (especially as time has gone on since his passing).
Great picks! Q: When did Russ started dressing like a Cuban Revolutionary? He looks like he’s ready to overthrow a McDonald’s. 😂 I would love to see Clint Eastwood’s movie “Honkytonk Man” on 4K.
1. Excalibur (1981) 2. Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) 3. Clash/Wrath of the Titans 4. Pirate Radio (2009) If only for the soundtrack...like they should have done for American Graffitti 5. The Replacement Killers (2002) 6 Spartacus Blood and Sand/Gods of the Arena/Vengeance/War of the Damned (yeah, I know--it's a series, not a movie--but it needs 4k treatment anyway) 7. No Escape (Escape from Absolom) (1994) I'd also settle for even a DVD release of the 4th season of TURN: Washington's Spies, even though the entire series would be great in 4k.
4K I need 1. Lucas 2. Boogie Nights 3. NIGHTMARE ON elm st. 4. Sunset Boulevard 5. Magnolia 6. Eyes Wide Shut 7. BLOOD IN BLOOD OUT 8. BARBARIAN 9 In the Bedroom 10. The Perfect Weapon Blu ray I need Happiness Idiocracy The Stoned Age
Nobody wants those 4 early Peter Jackson feature films on 4K more than me, but I fear that they'll be going through the same "restoration" process that the James Cameron films have gone through, meaning all grain scrubbed away and replaced by AI fake detail. 😢
Ok..let's talk bangers: Demolition Man. Commando. The Last Samurai. The Count of Monte Christo. The King's Speech. North by Northwest. Pretty Woman. About Time. Ben Hur. My Cousin Vinny.
@4K_Kings I would also like: I,Robot. (Time to let Will off the hook) The Day After Tomorrow. Tarzan, the Legend of Graystoke. And..A properly done Terminator 2. The Sean Connery Bond movies would be nice, especially Goldfinger. At the very least, the first 2 Leathal Weapon movies.
After watching these are all on my list now, some twice. After hearing T1 is getting at 4K, I bought the remastered blu-ray on the fear it will just get the Aliens treatment. Se7en has unfortunately been pushed to 2025. I even got an email from Amazon stating the delivery date is now Jan 2026 😅 Since you covered most of mine, I'm going with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and The Explorers.
Taxi driver has a 4k release, just as part of the first Columbia classics set. Good shout on Hard Boiled. I don’t think swingers would look much better than the Blu Ray on 4k as it’s always had a low budget rough look by design.
1.The Rock 2.Entrapment 3.Con Air 4.Tombstone 5.Unstoppable 6.From Dusk Till Dawn 7.Dark City 8.Déjà Vu 9. The Taking Of Pelham 123 10.Infernal Affairs Trilogy

Love for Sunset Blvd THANK YOU ( Musical is back on Broadway in the Fall in a critically acclaimed production, maybe enough of a reason for to piggy back with a 4K??)
@@russceasetheruss5360 apologies, taken me SO long to reply to this - the musical adaptation form '97 is generally a less dry or cynical take on the story - it goes for a more sympathetic Norma, though it's almost scene for scene the action of the movie. It's an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, so talking Phantom of the Opera, Evita, and yes - Cats - but in my opinion it's one of his best scores, and he definitely nails the film noir sound. Now, this specific production that started in London last year, and will be on Broadway (Now officially announced for Oct) is a more experimental take on the show, it's a very lean, dark and sharp take, with a very conceptual staging. Its big draw is the use of live cameras on stage, playing back in real time, with the actors interacting with the images - it creates a REALLY meta vibe, but a really appropriate parallel with film making in general. It's an experience for sure, and the cast is excellent, specially ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger as Norma who is the most intense, scary, sexy, mind-blowing Norma you'll see on stage. So I totally recommend it - if you typically like musicals, specially Lloyd Webber musicals, and like out of the box theater. I've also heard people who aren't crazy for the original musical, who were blown away by this. I love the movie, like the musical a lot and had an almost out of body experience at this production - the staging just elevates the material up and up and finds depth and levels I hadn't even considered, so yes totally completely recommend.
At the moment, I'm mostly just waiting for Amadeus in 4K. Maybe some concerts I have on DVD would be great in 4K. Alice Cooper's Welcome to my Nightmare concert film from 1975. Rammstein's Volkerball. Stuff like that.
My top 5 would be: 1. Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003) 2. Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut (2005) 3. The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) 4. Band of Brothers (2001) 5. Gettysburg (1993)
Films I'm waiting for, some of which have been circulating as "in the works" for a while now, but as of yet nothing has become of them: 1. Dark City - The Crow just released so there's hope. 2. A Nightmare on Elm Street collection - Besides the 2010 crap. 3. Gravity 4. Se7en 5. Kill Bill vol 1 & 2 -This is inevitable. 6. Fight Club 7. Big Trouble in Little China 8. 13 Assassins 9. Terminator 2 - It desperately needs a redo. 10. Tron Legacy - Already looks and sounds great on the Blu-ray and its 7.1 mix. Can you imagine this film with Dolby Vision and Atmos? 🤯 11. The Fly (1986) 12. From Dusk Till Dawn 13. No Country for Old Men 14. L.A. Confidential - I've owned this since it arrived on Blu-ray. And while I think it's a great film, somehow it just recently ended up being called "The greatest film of all time" over on Rotten Tomatoes. Even above The Godfather, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the King. 😂 12. Minority Report 13. Sin City 14. Drag Me To Hell
Great list! I'm shocked that some of these haven't already been released. But in a way, that's kind of exciting to know there's still a lot of life left in this format.
My 4k wishlist Broken Arrow 1996 Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid 1969 Cast Away 2000 Twister 1996 Titan A.E. 2000 Near Dark 1987 The Towering Inferno 1974 Excalibur 1981
Funny enough I just got an email today from Amazon UK on my preorder of Seven. Release date has changed. lol New estimated delivery date: January 09, 2026 - January 13, 2026 Also the video is still playing but in case you don't mention it.... Master and Commander
Interesting list. I would like to have some of these even if they're not that successful.Tried not to add titles that have already been mentioned even though I like them. Ayla - The Clan of the Cave Bear, Bad Girls, Salute of the Jugger, Jason and the Argonauts, Soulman, Commando, Quest for Fire, Hardware - Mark 13, Death Machine, Prayer of the Rollerboys, Stigmata, Beyond Rangoon, Hell in the Pacific, The Emerald Forest, Excalibur, Zardoz, Outland, Deliverance, The Killing Fields and a few others.
Hi folks thanks for another update on what you would like to see on 4K. As mentioned previously I would love to see the 2007 Swedish movie titled (LET THE RIGHT ONE IN). As you’re probably aware this film has subtitles but for people who have never seen this film, I say give it a chance. Well concerning this film the wait goes on for a 4K release. Thanks guys……….
Guys, have you personally seen the Cameron releases, Abyss, Aliens and True Lies? I can confirm at least Abyss and Aliens are absolutely gorgeous True Lies isn't all bad. I'm so excited for Terminator as a result. Other than this, my 4k request is Dante's Peak.
@@4K_Kings okay, like many I guess. Well Russ, all I can say is reserve your judgement, don't believe those being critical, until you've seen them for yourself. I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised 😁
@condo0073 I also liked all 3 transfers, although I do see the issues people were talking about. Personally it doesn't fully bother me but I'm aware of said issues, and how a film should naturally look.
I guess it’s been awhile since I checked, thanks for letting me know Terminator’s coming! (Hope they don’t screw it up. I wanna see that grain, baby!) 😆

Criterion needs to make Barry Lyndon a priority.

Dances with Wolves would be perfect for 4K. Those wide vista's man.

Hard agree. I’d want both Theatrical and Director’s Cut though.

- Blood In, Blood Out
- Pleasantville
- Commando
- The Relic
- The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (IYKYK)
- The Good Son
- Last of the Mohicans
- Demolition Man

I'm also in for Under Siege. I scored the Playboy with Miss July 89 recently. (the same Playboy from Home Alone)

Black Rain, Wall Street, Manhunter, Eyes Wide Shut, Man on Fire, One Flew Over the Coockoo’s Nest.
I'd love a Man on Fire 4K... For years I thought I was the only one who dug that movie and it's easily the best of that phase in Tony Scott's career.

I want the Kill Bill The Whole Bloody Affair in 4K
L.A. Confidential, Eyes Wide Shut, Road to Perdition, The English Patient and A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
Boogie Nights 4K .. is rumored to be coming in September from Warner.
Fight Club ... is with Disney/Fox. So who knows.
Terminator 4K... is rumored for August via Warner.
The only one I haven’t seen mentioned here that I’d love is Innerspace… I frickin love that movie.
Excellent movie, day one buy for me if they ever put that out in 4K
The terminator, A.I artifficial intelligent, ben-hur, gone with the wind, and david fincher collection include alien 3. 4K UHD
The Social Network, Last Samurai, Lost in Translation, the Rock
Social network is on one of the Columbia classics box sets, so already has a 4k
@@benpascall4297yeah it does, I bought just SN from ebay for like 75
Great choices guys! A few of mine would be Dead Presidents(1995), Dark City (1998), Deliverance(1972), Papermoon (1973).
Criterion giving us Dead Presidents on 4K would put a smile on my face... True story, at 13 years-old, the Dead Presidents soundtrack put me onto a whole goddamn genre of music that became the majority of what I listen to to this day.
4K Kings are your favorite physical media channel’s favorite physical media channel and that’s facts💪🏾Quality over quantity
Thank you!
Another one most people here haven’t heard of but “O, Lucky Man” needs at least a Blu-ray. It’s only ever been on DVD.
Most of Daniel Day Lewis movies are missing on 4k and talking about missing, I've got missing posters on the street for touchstone and 20tth century fox movies on 4k. So much money on the table. Disney does want to make money right!
Wow OK you've done it now.
The Negotiator. The Rock. Remember The Titans. Judgement Night.
Crimson Tide. The Skin I Live In. The Long Kiss Goodn.
Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Falling Down. BEST Seller. House Party.
Set It Off. Deep Cover. Gone In 60 Seconds. Broken Arrow.
Apocalypto. Silverado.
I have more, but I'll leave you with that. Great topic!
I NEED WILLOW 4K😊 Also would love to get the following: The classics BEN HUR & CLEOPATRA, THE THIN RED LINE, the submarine classic: DAS BOOT!!!
I'm still surprised Ben Hur hasn't come out yet considering they already released The Ten Commandments on 4K awhile back.
There Will Be Blood !
I want The Fly and The Day After Tomorrow on 4K
I'm waiting on the Fly too! What's taking so long?!
Yeah right, u would think it would be out by now, The Fly is such great Movie
i would for sure get house party! it went into the library of congress last year too
All in for Under Siege, it's just fantastic. Seen it at least 20 times.
There Will Be Blood
No Country for Old Men
2010: The Year We Make Contact
Lincoln
Courage Under Fire
Once Upon a Time in the West
Once Upon a Time in America: Extended Director’s Cut
The Thin Red Line
Falling Down
Demolition Man
A Bridge Too Far
Kelly’s Heroes
Where Eagles Dare
Alien 3
Cromwell
Flight of the Phoenix
The French Connection
The Terminator
Crimson Tide
1. Fight Club
2. Strange Days
3. The Wild Bunch
4. Terminator
5. Austin Powers
6. Eyes Wide Shut
I've had fingers crossed for a Shout 4K Strange Days ever since Point Break released.
Big Trouble in little china, buckaroo bonzai, The shadow
1) Strange Days
2) Crimson Tide
3) The Rock
4) Kill Bill (both)
5) The Last Samurai
6) Under Siege
7) Demolition Man
8) Ladyhawke
9) Jackie Brown
10) Office Space
Never saw Jesse James..
thanks Russ, will pick it up on BluRay
Getting to know your tastes a bit, I think you will enjoy it.
Imprint has a nice BluRay release for City of God and Jacob’s Ladder.
I've considered it, but I'm afraid as soon as I scoop them up, I'll get hit with a 4K upgrade.
Damn, love your picks guys. 4k was made for films like Badlands I hope we get it
I'm waiting on The Wrestler, Paper Moon, The Wonder Boys, Sideways, and The Sandlot.
Q:
When did Russ started dressing like a Cuban Revolutionary?
He looks like he’s ready to overthrow a McDonald’s. 😂
I would love to see Clint Eastwood’s movie “Honkytonk Man” on 4K.
I'm dressing like this until Soderbergh's Che is released on 4K. Patria y Dollar Menu!
I got lethal weapon 1/4 on blu ray and vhs. And a promo copy of part 1. And I got most of those movies on this list in vhs or blu ray.
1. Excalibur (1981)
2. Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)
3. Clash/Wrath of the Titans
4. Pirate Radio (2009) If only for the soundtrack...like they should have done for American Graffitti
5. The Replacement Killers (2002)
6 Spartacus Blood and Sand/Gods of the Arena/Vengeance/War of the Damned (yeah, I know--it's a series, not a movie--but it needs 4k treatment anyway)
7. No Escape (Escape from Absolom) (1994)
I'd also settle for even a DVD release of the 4th season of TURN: Washington's Spies, even though the entire series would be great in 4k.
4K I need
1. Lucas
2. Boogie Nights
3. NIGHTMARE ON elm st.
4. Sunset Boulevard
5. Magnolia
6. Eyes Wide Shut
7. BLOOD IN BLOOD OUT
8. BARBARIAN
9 In the Bedroom
10. The Perfect Weapon
Blu ray I need
Happiness
Idiocracy
The Stoned Age
I'm still clutching my Happiness DVD... I'd be both surprised and elated if that ever recieved an upgrade.
@russceasetheruss5360 same here! Finally added a imported Hard Eight blu ray to replace that DVD also.. ya never know.
Edward Scissorhands
Nobody wants those 4 early Peter Jackson feature films on 4K more than me, but I fear that they'll be going through the same "restoration" process that the James Cameron films have gone through, meaning all grain scrubbed away and replaced by AI fake detail. 😢
Please start selling those Yellow Hoodys 🙏🏻. So sick 👌🏻
The Terminator is my number one but I've been waiting for a Blu-ray or a 4K of Blood In Blood Out.
Ok..let's talk bangers: Demolition Man. Commando. The Last Samurai. The Count of Monte Christo. The King's Speech. North by Northwest. Pretty Woman. About Time. Ben Hur. My Cousin Vinny.
Demolition Man is a day one buy.
ALL of David Fincher’s movies please
The Wrestler and Sunshine
I want the DIRTY HARRY series.
Me too! Or at least the first one.
After watching these are all on my list now, some twice.
After hearing T1 is getting at 4K, I bought the remastered blu-ray on the fear it will just get the Aliens treatment.
Se7en has unfortunately been pushed to 2025. I even got an email from Amazon stating the delivery date is now Jan 2026 😅
Since you covered most of mine, I'm going with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and The Explorers.
1) Boogie Nights, 2) Swingers, 3) Taxi Driver, 4) Hard Boiled, 5) Braindead
Taxi driver has a 4k release, just as part of the first Columbia classics set.
Good shout on Hard Boiled.
I don’t think swingers would look much better than the Blu Ray on 4k as it’s always had a low budget rough look by design.
Left the comment before your ‘Dead Alive’, ‘City of God’ and ‘House Party’ mentions. Fuck yeah.
That's a badass list.
@@russceasetheruss5360Solid choices yourself dude. I’m gonna need to check out Jesse James.

7.Dark City
8.Déjà Vu
9. The Taking Of Pelham 123
10.Infernal Affairs Trilogy
The Last Samurai
Punch drunk, love just got released as part of the most recent Columbia Classics on 4K
Yeah ..but that doesn't count!
Dark City, Constantine
Zulu, EL Cid, Interview with the Vampire , Outlaw Josey Wales, Shane, Troy, The Last of the Mohicans, Black Rain,
Ulzanas Raid, Jerimiah Johnson, Ben Hur,
Love for Sunset Blvd THANK YOU ( Musical is back on Broadway in the Fall in a critically acclaimed production, maybe enough of a reason for to piggy back with a 4K??)
You're welcome! If the musical brings us a 4K, I'll take it... You appear to be a fan, as someone who loves the film, would I enjoy the musical?
Seriously, has Matt watched more than like 12 movies in his life?
At the moment, I'm mostly just waiting for Amadeus in 4K. Maybe some concerts I have on DVD would be great in 4K. Alice Cooper's Welcome to my Nightmare concert film from 1975. Rammstein's Volkerball. Stuff like that.
Punch drunk love is out in the latest Columbia classics collection you love so much
That doesn't count...
My top 5 would be:
1. Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003)
2. Kingdom of Heaven: Director's Cut (2005)
3. The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)
4. Band of Brothers (2001)
5. Gettysburg (1993)
The Wild Bunch in 4k please!
Also, where's the 4k for From Dusk Till Dawn?
Tombstone
The Butterfly effect
Films I'm waiting for, some of which have been circulating as "in the works" for a while now, but as of yet nothing has become of them:
1. Dark City - The Crow just released so there's hope.
2. A Nightmare on Elm Street collection - Besides the 2010 crap.
3. Gravity
4. Se7en
5. Kill Bill vol 1 & 2 -This is inevitable.
6. Fight Club
7. Big Trouble in Little China
8. 13 Assassins
9. Terminator 2 - It desperately needs a redo.
10. Tron Legacy - Already looks and sounds great on the Blu-ray and its 7.1 mix. Can you imagine this film with Dolby Vision and Atmos? 🤯
11. The Fly (1986)
12. From Dusk Till Dawn
13. No Country for Old Men
14. L.A. Confidential - I've owned this since it arrived on Blu-ray. And while I think it's a great film, somehow it just recently ended up being called "The greatest film of all time" over on Rotten Tomatoes. Even above The Godfather, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the King. 😂
12. Minority Report
13. Sin City
14. Drag Me To Hell
Great list! I'm shocked that some of these haven't already been released. But in a way, that's kind of exciting to know there's still a lot of life left in this format.
My 4k wishlist
Broken Arrow 1996
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid 1969
Cast Away 2000
Twister 1996
Titan A.E. 2000
Near Dark 1987
The Towering Inferno 1974
Excalibur 1981
Great list!
Funny enough I just got an email today from Amazon UK on my preorder of Seven. Release date has changed. lol
New estimated delivery date:
January 09, 2026 - January 13, 2026
Also the video is still playing but in case you don't mention it.... Master and Commander
Damn haha... Mine just said 2025.
Just a couple to add for me, that I can’t believe aren’t already out on 4k… The Hateful Eight and L.A Confidential.
Agreed on both
Be warned that Peter Jackson is heavy into AI tinkering. He mentioned more than five years ago, experimenting with his early films using AI.
Tombstone, big trouble in little china, spaceballs, holy grail.
We would love to see that one too!
Definitely... Matt and I are both fans... Fun fact: I'm a big Smiths fan and the title of the novel/movie is a reference to a Morrissey song.
We haven't got our copies yet. Aliens is on the way, and late April for The Abyss.
